...since he already answered and gave me the idea to ask the question.

In entertainment, such as movies and TV shows and LEGO themes, can anything truly be better, or are all things in entertainment equal, since everyone's tastes are different, and thus cannot be right or wrong?

From where I stand, the latter is true, purely through logic, not through my opinions. So, is my logic flawed, or does this make factual sense and simply getting tired of arguing?

A true fan isn't blind. A true fan sees that football is gone and may never come back, and while we might prefer for it to be back, we won't storm the stadiums and give Roger Goodell and DeMaurice Smith petitions saying "OH WE HATE YOU NFL AND NFLPA LOOK WHAT YOU DID TO US SEE HOW MANY PEOPLE REFUSE TO BUY STUFF NOW!".

We are content to stick with baseball, and we realize that after the 1994 strike, it was not quite as bad as people made it out to be.

An amazing comeback in the ninth inning has the World Series tied up as the Cardinals and Rangers go down deepinthaheartatexas. The pitching showdown between Colby Lewis and Jaime Garcia was scoreless up until the seventh, when the Cardinals drove in the first, and seemingly the winning run. However, a bloop single by Kinsler in the ninth and some nifty baserunning by Texas allowed the Rangers to tie the game off of a sac fly by Josh Hamilton, and then take the lead off of another sac fly in the next at bat. With the Rangers having taken care of business, the 2010 Rookie of the Year for the American League--closer Neftali Feliz--came in and shut down the Cardinals in the bottom of the ninth, finishing a masterful theft of Game two by the Texas Rangers.

Today is a travel day, so no ballgame. Game Three will be played tomorrow at Rangers Ballpark.

After 206 votes, a grand total of 135 people said they were on the "like" side, for 66% of BZPower members. That's down 9% from yesterday's 75%, but still a strong majority. Of the 206, 35 voted on the "dislike" side, resulting in a percentage of 17%--only a 2% gain for the Hero Haters of BZPower. 27 of the 206 didn't care, for a total of 13.71%, while 9 have nulled, for 4% of the vote.

Of the 135 pro-HFers, 38 said they were big fans (28% of the likers, 19.29% of all of BZP), 75 said they liked it moderately (56% of the likers, 38.07 of BZP), and 22 said they liked it only a little more than they disliked it (16% of the likers, 11.17% of BZP).

Of the anti-HFers, only 7 of the 35 have voted that they dislike it moderately (20% of the Hero Haters, 3.55% of BZP), while the "KILL IT DEADERS" rose to 14 (40% of the dislikers, 7.11% of BZP), and an equal number of 14 have said they only dislike it a little more than they like it (40% of dislikers, 7.11% of BZPower).

    LIKERS down 9%
    DISLIKERS up 2%
    DON'T CARES up 2.33%
    NULLERS down 1%

As some of you may remember, I have a Wii U now, and currently, I'm playing Zelda games. I've played Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, and next on my list is Twilight Princess. On all of my saves, I use the name Sean, because I feel like it. However, in TP, you name the horse as well, and I'm having trouble thinking of a horse name. Sure, I could just go with Epona, but that is uncreative and lame, so I'm not going to choose it. I don't suppose anyone would have any suggestions for me?

Oh, and on a side note, my sister, who you may know as Megan51 or Hanahli, got a job at the same Mickey D's I work at.

Rangers in five. I expect them to split the first two in AT&T Park, because the Rangers pitch the UNBEATABLE ONE against THE FREAK in game 1, and while Lincecum is terrific, Cliff Lee is better. As for game 2, there's no DH, so Sanchez will beat Wilson. Then the Rangers will have their DH back for the next three games, Colby Lewis will hold the form he had in the ALCS, and the Rangers offense will beat Matt Cain and win game 3. Game 4 will be won by the Rangers bullpen, like it did in the last Tommy Hunter start, while Bumgarner will still do well, but will not be able to hold off the Rangers in game 4. Game 5, you have THE UNBEATABLE ONE, Cliff Lee against THE FREAK, Tim Lincecum again, and Cliff will win it in front of the home fans for the Rangers first World Series ever.

And if I'm wrong, the Cubs will win the World Series next year.

    That way, I can't lose.

I'm watching Phillies @ Braves on MLBN. With a win, the Braves clinch a tie in the Wild Card. Those that get it locally can see Yankees @ Red Sox. Afterwards comes more Pennant Chase Coverage of the Padres @ Giants, and for those who get the local feeds for that game, D-Backs @ Dodgers (Which really isn't Pennant Chase Coverage, since both teams are eliminated).

Anyhow, main thing is, if you have MLB Network. GO THERE!

    New York @ Texas

I actually had a prediction that would have been a shocker to most folks.

    Rangers win in 5.

True, it requires three more Rangers wins in a row, but it does not seem all that inaccurate. My prediction was based on the pitching matchups they had. I fully believed that C. J. Wilson could, and would, outpitch C. C. Sabathia and win Game 1. After that, Colby Lewis could definitely handle the Yankees longer than Phil Hughes could handle the Rangers. Then you have Cliff Lee in game 3. Lee is solid enough to win any day. And then, in Game 4, you have Tommy Hunter vs. either A.J. Burnett or C.C. (most likely the latter had Texas won game 1) and although CC would most likely win that one, the Rangers would then face Burnett in game 5 with C. J. on the mound, and if I believed C. J. could beat C. C., I most certainly believe he could beat Burnett.

Unfortunately, the Texas bullpen let me down in Game 1, but that means that Burnett will likely pitch game 4, with Sabathia and Wilson in game 5. If Texas wins 3 and 4, they have a shot at winning 5, and even if they don't, game 6 matches up Hughes and Lewis again.

To me, the Rangers still have the advantage with the better staff.

    Giants @ Phillies

Oswalt brought the world, and the NLCS, back into balance tonight by shutting down SF in all but Cody Ross' home run, so now we go to the West Coast with Hamels on the mound against Cain. A terrific matchup that...

The Phillies will win. In fact, they'll win both of them, says I. Game 5 will be won by Lincecum at home, but just barely, while the Giants fall in Game six as the O in H2O shuts down the Giants for the second time, back in Philly.

*hides from the Giants fans reading this*

    C. J.'s injury has me convinced. The Giants are going to win the World Series in five games, and it will be no fault of their own. Throughout the postseason, the Giants have won by facing slumping teams. First the Braves, then the Phillies, and now the Rangers cannot do anything that sheer misfortune can't stop.

Unfortunately, that also means we have what is probably the most dull World Series of the past ten years. Never before do I remember a time in the last decade where such a mediocre team as the Giants has managed to catch every team they play in a slump. I, frankly, would rather have seen Phillies and Yankees again rather than this, because this is really what I interpret as cheap wins. In the regular season, I wouldn't care. In the regular season, you don't have an entire nation watching, but in the postseason, you ought to have better baseball than this. I'd much rather see a Yankees repeat, so long as they won it by simply being a fantastic team, than to see a team like the Giants win simply because the other team got tough breaks like the Rangers have, or if the other team fell into a slump like the Phillies.

I am seriously considering not watching the World Series for the first time. It just is a pain to me to watch it happen. Even so, you folks in San Francisco enjoy it. Even so, if the Giants do win, I hope they do it in seven, so that Wilson's injury doesn't matter.

You guys know ought to know which teams are in it, I don't need to tell you.

My prediction is the team not named Rangers in six.

Now if you don't mind, I'll go away and mourn my misfortune.

Nobody knows the trouble I've seen.
    Nobody knows the sorrow...

I thought I'd try something for the course of the offseason. It's basically the same as the LEGO.com Comic Caption thing, only baseball.

For the first attempt, I've got this picture from Darth Quade's managerial debut, which was also a game I attended, at Nationals Park.

As this Avengers thingy comes up, it gets me thinking idly of comic book superheroes. I never bought a comic book, and probably never will. But I did watch the DCAU, and several superhero movies, and I have read the histories of various characters online. So I decided to make a list of my favorites.

    1) Shazam/Captain Marvel -- I've always liked the Golden Age heroes better than the gritty modern-day versions. Sure, the new age of grim and violent comics for teenagers have its merits, but it detracts from what superheroes are supposed to be. As far as I can see, the only four who retain this for the most part are Superman, Spider-Man, Captain America, and Captain Marvel. Nonetheless, Captain Marvel, (or rather now, Shazam) has become my favorite largely because he is almost a personification of 1940's superhero comic book characters. He's a kid who shouts "SHAZAM!" and gains the wisdom of Solomon, strength of Hercules, stamina of Atlas, power of Zeus, courage of Achilles, and speed of Mercury and as an added bonus, instantly grows up. If Spider-Man was an interesting hero as a teenage webslinger, the simple concept of Billy Batson spending his time after school as Shazam is even more attention-grabbing. But what I like most about Earth's Mightiest Mortal is that while people continually try to adapt Superman to be darker (which you can't really do with the character without ruining him), Captain Marvel has remained the boyish magical counterpart to Superman. Unfortunately, the reinterpretation of Billy Batson after that New 52 reboot thingy seems to be trying to do the same with the new hero, Shazam.

    2) Spider-Man -- Before watching Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2, I had never really seen any superhero entertainment outside of the Batman animated series, which I didn't understand at the time. As a result, Superman and Batman were my favorites. But after watching those movies on TV at my aunt's house, Spider-Man was automatically my favorite until I rewatched the DCAU years later. Spider-Man actually isn't all that interesting of a hero, when you look at it. Put him next to Superman, Wonder Woman, the Hulk, and Thor, and you see why Spider-Man sticks to saving NYC rather than the world, Peter Parker and his struggles with being Spider-Man is what makes the webslinger interesting. Spider-Man 3 was a big letdown though. Hoping The Amazing Spider-Man proves to follow the original two rather than the finale.

3/4) Batman/Superman -- In this case, it depends on what you're looking at. If it's the DCAU or cinema, Batman is my 3rd place choice, but anywhere else, the Man of Tomorrow takes that spot, primarily because the comic book Batman is just too dark for my tastes. Everything is gruesome and hopeless, while in the DCAU, there's a healthy balance added. DCAU Batman does find some levity, and is still pure hero rather than sitting on the line between hero and antihero. (Primarily because of his no-killing rule. The gruesome villains don't help either.) Superman, on the other hand, is still fighting for truth, justice, and the American way at all times, and while that makes him somewhat bland in comparison, I find it somewhat refreshing when you've got so many like Batman and Wolverine. (One way you could make Superman darker is to play him in a similar way to his behavior pre-Cadmus in Justice League Unlimited, making him lean more towards the un-American way, but for American motives without him realizing it.)

    5) Captain America -- This is easy. Cap is essentially a young Uncle Sam, with peak human abilities and a shield. One thing I do find odd about him is how Jack Kirby always drew him sorta' hunchbacked. Nonetheless, Captain America is my favorite Avenger, and coincidentally, I liked his movie best of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well.

As a side note, though I like DC better, one thing I like about Marvel are the titles. Not just Spider-Man, The Amazing Spider-Man. Not just The Hulk. The Incredible Hulk. Then there's also The Invincible Iron Man, The Uncanny X-Men, and The Mighty Thor. Speaking of which, why is Captain America just plain ol' Captain America?

Firstly, Week 4 winner: My sister, Megan51, and a slight bit of rotten editing to apply more to the caption.

Secondly, in each edition of the Chicago Cubs' monthly magazine, the Vine Line, there is an illustration in the magazine, and some of them are rather funny. Here's a gallery linking to all of them, on cubs.com: Vine Line Illustrations.

Lastly, the new contest image. This is a photo taken of the Wrigley Field Marquis, during the Allstate Wrigleyville Classic football game between the Illinois Fighting Illini and the Northwestern Wildcats:

I come here every few years just to see what happened. It is like returning to a hometown that never existed, and all the people were fictional characters you made up as imaginary friends, and only a few straggling ghosts roam the grounds as though nothing changed.
I post this just to see if the ghosts can hear. The sensation of wandering in here ever since 2013, when I left the staff, has been haunting.
