  1. Let me find it first. I'll PM it to ya when I find it.

  2. @VK: ^^ Thanks

@Kakaru: More of from Necromancers in general. if you want to know bad, check my post in the "Where did your nickname come from" topic.

  3. 1. Check the box the PC or processor, if home built, came in.

    2. No box? Click "Start, go to "Control Panel", click "System", and that'll tell ya. I'm using the Windows XP instructions on that, hope it isn't different in 2000.

  4. ...All it needs is a 300MHz processor and a 64MB GPU. I definitely recommend using Ubuntu once you get that XP computer. It can even make a 900MHz processor go fast. ^^

  5. ...You can download it for free off Ubuntu.com and burn an install disc yourself...

  6. @TPTi: True. Only last week I got $3.8 mil in USD for Ceaser! =P

@Blade; Kay. I personally, after srudying many things, like OS X, Windows XP a close second, Ubuntu a third, Vista last. If you like Linux, congrats! Keep using the free OS! =)

  7. 3. Dual-boot. Need a Windows-only program? Got an Intel Mac? Just download Bootcamp, take to an Applestore if laptop, call em up if Desktop, and get instructions.

    4. Windows-ifiable. Worst-case scenario: You hate OS X. Money wasted? Nope. Many tech sites I like have dual-booted and wiped the Mac partition, turning the Mac to an Apple logo bearing PC.

  8. Mac OS X: In three words: The holy grail. Before PC nerds flame and one-star me, I have logic.

    1. GUI. Whenever I come home from an Applestore, I find for a few minutes how much time I spent on mastering XP will be wasted when Vista works and my desktop gets the upgrade. Macs GUI is straightforward.

    2. No trouble with my games. Not true for many, but all my games have Mac variants.

  9. Vista: The hybrid of OS X and XP. Looks nice, and after two months of security free running, my brothers HP only had three viruses according to Norton. But I'll keep XP SP2 until I get my MacBook.

Linux: Literally no viruses or Spyware for it. Sadly, Same for non-freeware.

  10. @TPTi: Meh, you'll respawn. =P Hows the GUI compared to Windows?

@Blade: My opinions on massively used OS' today:

XP: Lotsa programs, but you usually double the base cost with needed security software.

  11. XD

AND I IZ IN MEH PROFILE, SNIPING AT U!11!!one11!!!!

Yay, another person who doesn't hate macs! ^^

  12. Never read the Halo novels, but kay.

    From Halo I presume?

  13. YOU FIEND! YOUR PERSONAL STATEMENT HAS REVEALED MASTER CHEIF'S NAME! ALMOST AS BAD AS IF YOUR PERSONAL PIC WAS A PIC OF HIS FACE WITHOUT THE HELMET!!!

On a side note, what IS your personal pic?

  14. ...Does it include the Steve Jobs part?

  15. o-o

...Nobodies gonna hold it against me? I know some Rpers, they'll likely never let me live it down.

  16. How often do you train EW? I usually do so about once a week.

Also, I managed to beat a friend with twice the experience I had yesterday. ^^

  17. XD

Hrrm...All of what I get sounds great, except for that last bit...Is it worth it...

  18. ^^ Never! *Swings a large stick* A stick? Where'd I put that Katan--Oh nevermind. *Swings at Wrack.*

    =P

  19. XD Points seen. :) Very well then, if I understood properly, I should apologize, correct?

  20. Very well. I suppose we should end this argument then.

  21. *Counts on fingers* 7 games made for Vista as of August! OMG! =P

Neither OS is perfect, and we have different preferences. If it will make you happy, I'll alter my personal statement.

  22. *Rolls eyes* Dual-boot is rather handy. You can use XP/Vista without using another computer, and it has been benchmarked to run about .5 seconds slower than Windows PCs. Let me see...$1,000+ of a new PC, or $250 of a new OS? I take OS. =P

Ironically, most of my games also have mac variants. ^^ And Vistas no gaming juggernaut, with it's...*Counts on fingers* 7 games made fo

  23. Meh, my open-source client worked fine when played around on a store Mac after getting permission. (Applestores are handy, but if you download software without consent, you have a problem. >

  24. oth my guitar teacher and many store macs use Firefox. I timed them both to finish loading "Fake Steve's blog", and the Mac, running at the same speed as my brothers HP, clocked .03 seconds behind. Not much difference. ;)

  25. :D how much of a discount?
