  1. If you guys see the Joker from Arkham Asylum and Arkham City (the games), you would weep at how Dark Knight butchered the character. And I still stand by the fact that Bane should have been a hulking brute with a luchador mask, and if you argue that Nolan tries to make movies more realistic, then try to explain

the nuclear bomb not causing any real damage to Gotham even though it was probably within 6 miles of the city...

  2. Any piece of plastic that's even remotely pointed or sharp hurts.I've also stepped on whole sets before. Actually, I think I've stepped on every single set I own. Kardas Dragon was not pleasant.Oh, also when removing the brains from Mata heads. I use the way old mechanism that they posted on BZP (or was it Kanohi Power then?), but sometimes it's stubborn and takes some force. I scrape my hand against the ridged Mata head all the time, and while it doesn't bleed, it stings a bit. :P-SK

  3. The newest Mars rover, "Curiosity," is now reportedly just hours away from landing on Mars has landed on the surface of Mars!I thought we should take the time to soak in the fact that our technology has advanced so much in the past 50, almost 60 years since the first US Moon landing. What do you guys think there is in store for space exploration? Where do you think we're headed (both literally and figuratively)?I was saddened by the dismissal of the space shuttle program, but am in equal amounts delighted at the privatization of space travel. It'll be a great opportunity for people who can afford it, and soon, I hope to see organizations that can help anyone hitch a ride to space for a few hours. But I was also delighted by the dawn of a new era of science--recently, the Higgs boson was discovered (and confirmed), yet the journey to define the laws of all things is not ending, as the transition is slowly turning towards dark matter, antimatter, and quantum science.I'm amazed at where the world is going and I'm glad to live in a generation where all these crazy and awesome discoveries are being made. What are your thoughts?-SK

  4. Electrons can teleport.Gary Oldman played a dwarf in the movie "Tip Toes.""O'clock" is a contraction for "of the clock."Eratosthenes, a Greek mathemetician, calculated the circumference of the earth without even leaving Egypt in 240 BC. His calculation was within 2% of the Earth's actual circumference. The Earth doesn't have a circumference since it's not a sphere. You can make a solar cell with blueberries. The person that has been hunting the Loch Ness monster his entire life finally snapped a photo that is undeniable proof of its existence.http://doubtfulnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/nessie803.jpgThomas Crapper, contrary to popular belief, did not invent the flush toilet, but rather the Ballcock, the mechanism which refills the tank during the flush.-SK

  5. P.S: HTML and CSS aren't programming languages; neither are Turing-complete. Plus, HTML stands for Hypertext Markup Language. :) Apologies if I seem a bit pedantic.
Haha, I tried my best to separate the terms "Programming" and "Web Design/Development." But yeah, I just included those because I think Programming can also be used as an umbrella term, and "Coding" wasn't a good topic title. :P (Think of it like this--using HTML and CSS, I can program the file to output what I want :P. Of course, that's really loose reasoning.)I'm working on a massive platform for sites within a network to use. You know, user-sharing and everything...it's a daunting task but it's gonna be fun for sure!I've also worked on some social networking stuff that can't be mentioned here.I'm much more of a fan of PHP and Javascript. I think I'm gonna go for Python and Ruby next, and then after that, maybe C. Objective-C is on the list somewhere and so is C++.-SK
  6. Hey guys. The last two programming topics are dead so I thought I'd start a new one.I'm interested in the demographic of programmers, web developers/designers, and computer/software engineers here on BZP.I'm personally intensely fascinated by the entire world of programming and am a professional in HTML5, CSS3, Javascript (and jQuery), and PHP.I currently do freelance web design and development but have a job interview for a web development job next week. What about you guys? Also, this topic can be used for programming problems or code review if any people need that, and also for aspiring programmers or beginners who want to know where to start.-SK

  7. I'm already OBZPC and Premier, so there isn't much left. I'd like to help pump life back into some of my favorite forums somehow, and another goal is to post a bit more since I really like the community here. Also, I'd like to help develop alternatives to a few rules so that we can have a bit more freedom on these forums, but it sounds like stuff is constantly being worked on, and I trust that work to the staff. :)-SK

  8. Assuming the forum is actually on UTC time, then the time right now would be 1:44am, and the time at which you posted this would have been 12:55am. If you were trying to buy it not long before you posted this topic, then it sure was past the deadline.I think the calendar and the rest of the forum shows you the time based on your time zone, but that doesn't mean it doesn't still have its internal clock. Plus, when I click "Calendar" at the top of the page, it shows August by default (since it would be August 1st UTC), but it still says that today is July 31st (which it is in my time zone).-SK

  9. It seems like administrators are pretty adamant about the current forum structure--I don't anticipate them wanting to change it.But as for reviving this forum: maybe an intricate scavenger hunt across the internet about BIONICLE books and movies? Just throwing it out there. Maybe even some kind of contest...I'm at a loss there, though. =/-SK

  10. You could phrase this as a question (like "What do you think of the community?") and make it a discussion. That would be enough to keep it open. And in the case that you do edit it, I'm pretty impressed that it's lasted this long. And though we're drifting away gradually (which is a good thing--we shouldn't stay too attached to BIONICLE), we're not losing sight of what we used to be.-SK

  11. This same issue was brought up on IP.Board's help forums. The problem is apparently a missing or broken language file.People have reported that a solution is to rebuild the language packages (or something along those lines).-SK

  12. Could you try clearing your inbox? There was a similar error reported on the IP.Board help forums, but they were encountering an error when they tried to clear the inbox. If you don't have any really important PMs, it might be helpful to try that out.-SK

  13. They are masterpieces of contemporary American literature.I'm just kidding, obviously. :P If you were like me and read them when you were young, they were pretty darn cool. If I read them now, I wouldn't be as satisfied, obviously, because my tastes have changed with age.-SK

  14. When I was stupid in my newb days and let what another member said get the better of me, causing me to flame him (even worse was that it was political discussion.
Heh, I remember that, and it feels like it's been forever since then, let alone when I first joined. For me, though, at one point I pretended to be British. Because who didn't want to be British when they were a kid? Maybe a lot of kids didn't, but I sure did, so I pretended to be British for a bit. :P-SK
