I said I'd pop back in on special occasions and I think this counts

a couple weeks ago I dropped $40 on a copy of Machinae Supremacy's rare, out-of-print Redeemer (Underground Edition) CD. this was an independently-released limited run version of their second album that was only available through their website and has long since been discontinued, featuring a different mix and an alternate tracklist to its more common major label retail counterpart. they rarely ever show up for sale anywhere so when I saw it, I had to jump on it, and today it finally arrived.

as the title states, this is basically a holy grail of my music collection. I'm stoked to finally own a copy.

    updated collection picture:

upon receiving A Taste of Extreme Divinity in the mail today, I've pretty much completed my Hypocrisy collection. I'm still missing some things - like their first three albums which are different in style and just not as good in my opinion, and both versions of the band's horrible attempt at cashing in on the nu-metal craze with Catch 22 - but all of the core albums in the band's discography that display their unique mix of death metal, melody, spacey atmospherics, and lyrical themes obsessed with the paranormal, extraterrestrial, and horror that make them one of my top 5 favorite bands of all time are represented now.

    from top to bottom:

    - The Final Chapter
    - Hypocrisy (German digipak edition)
    - Into the Abyss
    - The Arrival
    - Virus (CD/DVD limited edition)
    - A Taste of Extreme Divinity (U.S. limited edition)
    - End of Disclosure (digipak limited edition)

    also owned, but not pictured:

    - Abducted (2003 reissue, owned digitally because the CD is hard to find at a decent price)

I AM SO ANGRY THAT THE WRITERS WOULD DARE TO ACTUALLY DO THEIR JOBS AND WRITE NEW THINGS ABOUT A CHARACTER THAT I OBVIOUSLY KNOW BETTER!

THEY ARE RUINING THE SHOW BY NOT KEEPING EVERYTHING EXACTLY THE SAME FOREVER. I AM SO DONE.

for the last time, this is NOT something that is open to opinion or disagreement. there is NO CHOICE involved here, it is NOT just a "lifestyle". you cannot disagree with cold hard facts - not without being objectively WRONG.

additionally, people telling you why you are wrong is NOT oppression. how dare you continue to insist you know or face oppression over this. you DO NOT.

    please educate yourself.
