The only thing I truly miss about my laptop?

The inability to watch random stuff in my own room versus the living room, and the Windows Live Messenger custom emotes I collected over the year and a half I had it in.

    ;_;

... And watching random internet videos whenever I want.

    ... Okay, and my files.

Alright, some HAPPY news. Aww yeah and stuff.

So my hard drive enclosure finally arrived. It takes the hard drive I own already, that being the laptop's hard drive, and converts it to a USB 2.0 based connection, thus effectively making it an external hard drive.

Advantages? All my stuff is now secured on SWERT04, via SWERT01, plus I have the ability to access this data at any time without opening up my computer to get to it.

Also, I'm closer to finding a replacement processor and motherboard, too. Yay is me.

Finally, http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/18258 SUPPORT! I want this to happen.

So, it's still dead before we go further. BUT! I talked with someone who owns an electronics repair shop in the same building I work in, and basically he'll check it out for free. I know it's a dead CPU, but let's let an "expert" tell me that.

Meanwhile, I'm still on the desktop (SWERT01) and my phone still works (SWERT05), and if all else fails I can go snag back my Zune (SWERT03). (If you're wondering, laptop was SWERT02, and SWERT04 is an internal hard drive in my SWERT01 computer. Thunderbirds references ftw... but fail because desktop is 01 D:)

So yeah, life will go on for now, I might be able to replace the CPU and mobo, but that'll cost money.

... Soon my lappy ;_; soooon. *pats cake graphic*

Good news everyone! Besides reading this post in the Professor's voice, you now have the opportunity to read about Swert's busy life IN THE SAME VOICE!

Nah, kidding. Anyway, so my boss left for vacation last week, leaving me with a huge list of work to do. I already whittled said list down to two items, but they're big ones. I tackle that mess tomorrow.

On Wed. I will be visited by two (hopefully) BZPower members, Dorek and GSR! We'll most likely hang out at the studio, go nab some lunch then depending on when they have to leave, go tour Tacoma or something after I get off work at 4. If not, Dorek can hang out early on, then GSR and I can go do stuff later.

Hey guys, just a reminder, even though it'll be a special occasion in that you're visiting (or will be) I will still be working that day. Please don't expect me to sit around and just talk. I can't do that

So yeah, if I don't convince both of them to be Zune (Xbox Music *sigh*) and WP7 fans by the end of the day, oh well. I won't be trying, of course, but it's possible.

Even though I've seen it more than once before, it still saddens me to see the ending.

I mean, dude. You want a heartwrenching tearjerker? Watch how Jason acted when he first suited up as Robin.

Then look back at the intro.

.... ;_; Man, I might need a hug now. And I'm usually well balanced emotionally.

The Wall - Experience Edition and The Wall - Immersion Edition.

I've got Experience on my computer already (<3 you, Zune Pass) and I might just consider Immersion eventually. It'd be worth it some day.

So I'm sure by now many of you saw those spiffy BZP staff shirts being worn by BZP staff. Cool shirts right?

... Yeah, I'm not a fan of custom shirts.

But I do want custom BS01 hats

So who'd be down with buying one if I got a bulk sale of 'em? Like maybe a limited run of 20?

(I'm still thinking about them, this is preliminary)

So now I'm left with a dilemma, really.

I'm quickly coming up on my sister's graduation (on saturday). I wanna design a congratulations card for her.

What should go in it? XD (And do not fear, she does not even glance at BZP... or even BS01. Nothing said here will be read by her.)

    Also IWANNASELLYOUAHAT

I-I'm sorry I just had to

... Also I just woke up, hence why I'm so far behind. But I am at least original! (Also apparantly the most geeky, if nobody else thought of this one.)

In 2003, I met a member on BZPower who helped me gather bearings and kept me semi-sane on here.

    That member is Janus.

After 9 long years, I finally met him IRL.

    And yes, he is AWESOME.

Also DV's not too bad, once you get to know him. No that's a lie, I didn't really get to know him. But I'm sure if I did, he'd be not too bad

(As for the other staff I met: You guys are pretty cool too. I loved this event, and though it was rocky at first we ended it on a better note.)

Now let's go enjoy Ninjago year 3 8D OH WAIT.

    My ankle hurts D:

But hey, Bricks Cascade. Woo and stuff.

Also Inferna Firesword is an amazing person and don't afraid of anything. I can't wait to get my ring : D

I know many have already said to remember those who have fallen for their country, and those are truly those whose memories and lives we should honor.

But I want to look deeper.

I truly wish to remember and honor the families who lost loved ones in these wars. I want to remember every wife, child, mother, father, brother, sister, even grandchildren who lost those serving our fair country.

Now you might ask me, why should we care about them? Is not today the day remember fallen heroes?

    And I would answer.

Why shouldn't we remember them? Though their loved one paid a sacrifice to defending freedom, it is they who must live with it.

So yes, honor and remember our fallen soldiers... but don't forget those who miss them more.

So I have everything set up LEGO-wise for BCascade. I have a grand total of 10 boxes to take:

    5 for the main island
1 for the baseplate that goes around it (I have to double-check them)
1 for the volcano crater top (IT LOOKS MUCH BETTER, TRUST ME)
1 for the Superhero Megafigs (Green Lantern and Captain America)
1 for the Bionicle pens and random brick I'm bringing.
1 for the Nuva Cube (Of course I'm bringing that :3)

Basically that's 10 boxes. Plenty of boxes XD I'm thinking I'll set up the island on Thursday, and then bring the rest Friday.

As for random other stuff, that's still way behind. I should be okay though.

In other news, I bought a headset (YOU'RE WELCOME TO THOSE WHO KNOW WHO YOU ARE!) and my dad gave me his (2 day old) Bluetooth device after buying a better one today. I also bought cardstock to make new business cards today.

    Oh yeah, I'm set 8D
  14. Swert
    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA It's almost here 8D

Also blogged from my Windows Phone 8D

I'm thinking about what to do with my badge, but I have an idea : D

So as you all no doubt heard by now, Toonami's coming back onto Adult Swim. That's pretty nifty.

Now, as many of you probably know about me... I'm old. Like 24. So if you couldn't tell from me saying "I'm 24," let me be perfectly clear how much of Toonami I remember.

I remember when it first launched.

I literally watched the very first day it was on. It was fascinating, it was different, it was a great idea. They brought Anime to a unified block of programming every afternoon, and once a west coast feed was established, I was able to see it right after school when I got home. THAT was a plus. (Having Cartoon Network in the first place was ALSO a plus, given it was EXTREMELY EXCLUSIVE cable at the time of its launch, and we had it right at the beginning.)

Now, when I say I remember when it first launched, let me be clear: I watched MOLTAR. MOLTAR. You might remember Moltar, he's a Space Ghost villian from the classic 60's shorts who was then repurposed for the show 'Space Ghost Coast to Coast' as a producer and basically the guy who makes the stuff happen behind the scenes. Some might also remember he was not Zorak or Brak.

I also remember when TOM 1.0 was first used. I immediately missed Moltar, but I was fine with this change over time.

I remember TOM 2.0 as well. The entire story there was amazing, and I'd love to see CN re-release all of that footage for either download, streaming on their site, or purchase on DVD. I'd buy it.

Now, in 2001 I actually had to move to a new house, so I did not get a chance to actually see any more TV (we cut it off when we moved) so I didn't see any of the other stuff. That's kinda sad. (I eventually got DirecTV, so I saw some stuff between 09-11)

I guess my point behind this blog post is to show I'm getting older. That's also kinda sad. (I also just cancelled my DirecTV recently.)

But hey, Toonami's coming back. Sweet.

I just learned that Scott Menville will be in LEGO Batman 2.

    As Robin.

    ....... Holy carp.

NOW I'M DEFINITELY GLAD I RESERVED THIS GAME 8O

Also it means Robin's still Dick Grayson. Was kinda hoping we'd have Tim Drake by now. But mainly because I'm a bigger Nightwing fan anyway.

Also they better let Green Lantern have the ability to construct green objects like mechs and stuff.

... And we need a Teen Titans-themed level, by the way.

... And Justice League. Though how Flash will work I dunno yet.

So, awhile back (for those few who actually read and/or comment on my blog), I took it upon myself to spend one whole week, during bus trips, listening to nothing but Pink Floyd. All 14 studio albums on the trips to and from work.

Cholie brought up The Wall on his blog, leading me to a good question: What would be my favorite Pink Floyd album, if I had to do a retrospect (or Swertrospect, since inevitably everybody thinks I should name everything after myself)?

I have to say, before this experiment, I've always had a fondness for the way Wish You Were Here was put together. I loved the lyrics to every song, I loved how the music flowed, and I am one of the few people who can listen to Shine On You Crazy Diamonds with all nine parts put together. Basically, it was my top Floyd album of all time.

And then I bought A Momentary Lapse of Reason. And that challenged the throne of WYWH for me.

And after listening to all of the albums? I find myself drawn to listening to Obscured by Clouds, Atom Heart Mother, The Final Cut and AMLOR more often. I also listened to DSOM, Animals, The Wall, Division Bell, and parts of Meddle prior to listening to all of them. But in my heart, it still tells me WYWH was best.

    So my answer?

    Pink Floyd is my answer.
