  1. http://www.bzpower.info/Imaging/thumbs/2022/12/Bestof2022-02.jpg Today, we're looking at Krana Swarm by Nuhvok_mok. We really underestimated the villain collectibles of the early years, because the krana and kraata have now merged to become swarming bugs. Better grab your fly swatter for these!View the full article

  3. http://www.bzpower.info/Imaging/thumbs/2022/12/Bestof2022-01.jpg 2022 is coming to a close, and I'm remembering all the amazing Bionicle MOCs I've seen built this year. For a discontinued theme, fan builders are still going strong! In an effort to celebrate all the amazing creations, I have gathered a selection of MOCs from the BZPower Flickr page to share with everybody here. Yes, that's right, there will be new MOCs featured every day all month long! (Is this also an attempt to outpost Andrew? Maybe.) We'll start by looking at The Skulkhound by Djokson.View the full article

Let us know if you've seen the episode, and if so, what did you think?View the full article

  8. http://www.bzpower.info/Imaging/stories/lego-shop-at-home.jpg It's that time of year; the week before Black Friday, LEGO launches their own special weekend of deals for VIP members. To start off, you get double VIP points on all purchases. (If you visit a LEGO Brand retail store, a handful of expensive sets have 5X VIP points when purchasing them too.) If you'd rather redeem some VIP points, you can get more bang for your buck with some discount offers on specific sets. Beyond that, there are also three Gifts-With-Purchases for when you spend $250, $170, or $65 (the latter limited to select themes.) Obviously not all of these deals will appeal to everybody, but if you wanted to pick up some bricks for holiday presents, it'll be worthwhile to check out.View the full article
  9. Two years ago (nearly to the day!) we let you know that BZPower member TheVirre2000 was looking for playtesters for a new version of the classic Bionicle: Quest for the Masks card game. They've been busy in that time and have now released the gametype for Tabletop Simulator in the Steam Workshop! You can head over to the new topic in the forums discussing the release to share your feedback and learn more about the draft style format of the game, as well as more information on how to play it. I love the creativity of the Bionicle community with projects like this!View the full article
  10. The makers of our favorite construction toys seem to be all about more practical construction these days. Last week it was announced that The LEGO Group broke ground on another state-of-the-art Billund campus focusing on an inspiring and playful working environment. This building will house 1,900 engineering, quality and production employees and of course will have as minimal of an environmental impact as possible, with the target being a LEED Platinum certification. Along with new factories in Vietnam and the United States, they seem to be investing a lot of their recent profits into growing the company's footprint around the world.View the full article

  17. It's been a while since we've heard an episode of the Bits N' Bricks podcast, but following the release of LEGO Bricktales, Season 5, Episode 50: The Tale of LEGO Bricktales has dropped on YouTube and other podcast platforms. Hosts Ethan Vincent and Brian Crecente talk to ClockStone Studio's co-founders Tri Do Dinh and Stephan Sossau, Headup founder Dieter Schoeller, and LEGO Games producers Anders Tankred Holm and Abhinav Sarangi about how the game came to be. They go back over a decade and trace the roots of the studio that almost stopped existing but instead has become a very successful indie developer making popular titles like Bridge Constructor. Give it a listen!View the full article

  19. Over in the Comedies subforum, BZPower member DoctorW shared their imagined BIONICLE Pitch Meeting for The Mask of Light, coming up with a humorous conversation between the writers and producers poking fun at some of the things in the film that don't make the most sense. They've continued the series with the other three Gen 1 films and may take a try at Gen 2 or other LEGO series in the future. If you enjoy the reads, let the author know and encourage them to continue!View the full article

  21. Last week, The LEGO Group invited girls to stay curious in STEAM subjects on International Day of the Girl. After receiving some depressing statistics in the "Geena Davis Institute LEGO Creativity Study," the company has kicked off an online campaign titled 'Let's Keep them Curious!' which provides a selection of STEAM activities to encourage girls to explore and stay interested in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics. In addition, The LEGO Group is also donating $120,000 to the Girls Opportunity Alliance, a program of the Obama Foundation, "in support of their efforts to help adolescent girls and the grassroots leaders working to educate them." It's always great to see the company doing things to help build a better future.View the full article
