    I really miss Bionifight. The Senseless fighting, the interesting but sometimes infuriating fighters. Not to mention the wacky methods in which some obtained victory. It's odd that despite everything that occurred during the various bionifights, at least the ones I was in, and the frustration it brought, I looked forward to what each week would bring.
     
    And before people say 'Why not just join Bionifight Infinite if you miss it so much' let me provide a reason why. I enjoyed the various versions of Voltex's Bionifight because it was pure combat, it was a pleasant escape from the otherwise slow as a snail Bzprpg. I came for the fighting, not for the story is a good summary. I enjoyed being able to skip over someone if they didn't respond in a reasonable timeframe, not constantly having my character stuck in a single scene because joe schmo can't post a reply. It was fast paced and fun. Also each player only having one character to fight with really allowed for some... getting to know your opponent and how they think. Didn't always have to go back and check profiles just to post and hope I'm not confusing one character with another. It allowed for a sort of detailed familiarity, to the point that one could likely even imagine what that character would look like without always having to check the profile.
     
    Though other two reasons for not joining bionight are far simpler. I've seen the number of pages that topic is able to crank out daily, and I would never be able to keep up, especially considering each person has so many characters all posting in the same topic. I've tried to skim through it on occasion and I just don't have the patience. Secondly I feel like if I were to join now I'd be utterly lost and really under-powered/at a disadvantage with people who have been playing for quite sometime. At least with the old Bionifights most everyone was on even footing each new round, minus the occasion Drift Force weapons, which by the end of the Drift force it seemed a good majority had at least one drift force weapon, making it a bit even.
     
    Also forgot to mention a third, very important reason. I just don't have the time for another rpg. I'm already trying to keep my characters in the Bzprpg somewhat active, don't think I could keep another character, in another rpg active either. Let alone follow the plot of two different rpgs.

    I have to admit, I love and hate Pokemon Distribution Events, such as the Hoopa one right now. It’s great for people who live in cities where there is a McDonalds on every street corner, or a Gamestop a block away… but it sucks for people who live in rural locations. I had to drive a 100 miles one way, today, in snow, at -10*F, just to get to a McDonalds. Mind you I thankfully had to go Bulk grocery shopping anyway, since in winter here I can’t afford to go up to Fairbanks once a month for bulk grocery shopping. 200 miles round trip in snow is not worth a monthly trip, especially with schmucks on the road. And no pokemon is worth a 200 mile drive, in summer or winter.
     
    Also yes, this is kind of just a venting post.

    3DS Game Question

    So I'm considering buying a game for my 3DS, something I haven't done since ORAS came out... My 3DS is like the ugly stepchild of my systems. I've narrowed my choice down to the following games.
    Super Smash Bros
    Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon
    Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate
     
    Or Wait for Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright to come out...
     
    Also before anyone mentions it, I know smash for the WIIU is better than the 3DS version, but I do not own a WiiU nor Do I intend on buying one.
     
    Also if anyone else has suggestions for games, I'm all ears. Just want to make an informed decision.

    4 custom masks

    Ok well i recently ordered a 4 custom masks from Modalt's masks on Bricklink and figure i would share them with everyone
     

    Here is all four of them 2 repaints and 2 fusions

    So here are some smaller pics of the individual mask.
    So really not much here although must say the gunmetal mask is evil to try and make an moc for.
     
    If anyone has any suggestion on what colors i can use for an moc for the gunmetal grey mask please let me know. Having a hard time with it.

    Pure acetone will remove spray paint from bionicle pieces. However give or take 2004 and back pieces it will also cause the soft plastic to literally dissolve.
     
    Spray-painted a bunch of masks and other pieces a long time ago.. about 2011. Been trying to figure out what I could use to remove the spray paint. Tried many things including bleach but surprisingly 100% acetone will remove it with a bit of elbow grease. It is kind of neat for the spray paint actually like shrivels up and then it just kind of slides off.
     
    So yeah little fun fact for you folks. Oh and 2005 on pieces it does not seem to ruin the actual plastic.

    Amazing Moc Art

    Alright, so I don't ever do this type of thing, but I really wanted to give this the recognition it deserves. Mr.Cod, Owner/business partner? Not sure really, of Modalt Masks did a magma themed mask of fire awhile ago. It was beautiful piece. Well today he managed to top it with the Master of Magma!
     

     
    I mean it's just beautiful... The attention to detail is amazing. You will notice the magma streaks on the leg armor actually line up despite the gaps in armor, which I find to be an amazing touch. Heres a link to the actual DA page where he posted it.

    Anime And Manga

    Well I've noticed that a lot of people on Bzpower like Anime so I thought I would list my favorite Anime and Manga

    RANMA 1/2 SAYUKI BLOOD + TRINITY BLOOD FULL METAL ALCHEMIST INUYASHA POPOTAN ROSARIO + VAMPIRE PRETTY FACE FRUITS BASKET HELLSING SLAYERS DEATH NOTE GHOST IN THE SHELL
    Mind you I have a older sister that watches a lot of Anime and reads a lot of Manga. Its kinda funny she likes Inuyasha and I like Ranma 1/2 which came before Inuyasha and is made by the same person. We also lived in Okinawa, Japan for 3 years so we have been used to this kind of stuff. Also if you ever get the chance try some Japanese catsup because it is the BOMB they make theirs with fresh tomatoes not rotten.

    You know recently I have been thinking about a certain game that was hosted a while ago, bionifight. I don't know what has spurred this sudden excitement but I am really looking forward to Voltex's sequel to his Award-winning Bionifight Ultimate game.

    Avoid Tok Alaska

    to all who may consider coming to Tok, Alaska DON'T IT'S NOT WORTH THE TIME AND EFFORT. it's basically a cold horrible place during winter and in summer is infested with tourist although they are the main money producers. and don't get seriously injured down here because it's a 4 hour drive to the closest hospital and clinics don't count as a hospital.
    and to top it all off tonight's temperature is supposed to be from -10*f to -40*f. i repeat again avoid Tok, Alaska AT ALL COST.

    Man I feel like such a mauka's backside. I just spent like 2 hours playing dark souls, specifically being invaded. So I got a magic set up going, Crown of the Dark sun, bellowing dragoncrest ring, Tin crystallization catalyst, Int: 51, and various soul spells. So my magic damage dealing capabilities are rather high. I'm in dark root garden, and I take a look around and see all those breakable shrubs, and I think to myself 'Boy, this would be a perfect place for chameleon.'
     
    Needless to say I spend about the next 2 hours hiding out as one of those breakable shrubs just waiting for someone to invade and walk by, lock on, and then boom, crystal soul spear to the back. I feel really bad for this one guy who must have been walking around for like 15 minutes trying to find me, and long behold I was right next to where he spawned in. But hey, this is how I see it.
    'Oh, you want to invade me, well I'm gonna make it as difficult as possible for you.'

    Brotherhood Of Hunters

    Brotherhood of hunters
    After voxumo combined the matoran and agori societies the brotherhood of makuta and dark hunters realized that if they kept fighting each other they were easier for other forces to pick them off. So the brotherhood and dark hunters made a treaty saying they would combine forces under a council of leaders. Along with the treaty the skrall and bone hunters were also included in the faction. The faction leaders teridax, karzahni, tuma, the shadowed one and a representative of the bone hunters have declared that the new faction shall be named the brotherhood of hunters (name origin = brotherhood of refers to the brotherhood of makuta, hunters refer to the dark hunters and bone hunters.) each sub-faction is still under control of their original leader but each sub-faction is allowed to request assistance from the other sub-factions. The first action of the brotherhood was to create a 100,000 thousand shadow matoran but instead of using shadow leeches they used the process the great beings did to actually create matoran but instead they created the matoran without any light but created the first official kra-matoran that cannot have light in their souls. Once that task was completed they brought vultraz, kirop, radiak, gavla, a shadow matoran version of ahkmou and vican from an alternate reality to be the unofficial turaga of the cities the kra-matoran were building on the odes islands. Once they finished building the cities the kra-matoran occupied the cities and lived their life much like regular matoran except they are much more aggressive and rude to each other. The kra-matoran coloration varies from white, black, green, brown, blue, and red but all have some form of black to distinguish them from other matoran. Kra-matoran can be male or female. The turaga are tasked with informing the brotherhood once monthly on the status of the cities and the turaga must have a meeting with each other at least 4 times a year. The brotherhood created vahki for each city to help the turaga keep peace in the city and the turaga are the only ones with the machinery to understand the vahki. The cities are also home to dark hunters when not on missions, criminal and outcast.

    So I don't think I've made an entry like this before... but given an interesting revelation I felt it might be worth it.
     
    There is one massive gripe I have about the contests Bzpower runs. A large portion of the time they never stick to their schedules. This is most prevalent within the Flickr Contests, which has seen voting delayed quite sometime in the past. The most current example is BBC #73, there was suppose to be three sections of voting:
    Preliminary Voting begins June 23rd and ends June 26th at 11:59 P.M. EST.
    Semifinal Voting begins June 26th and ends June 28th at 11:59 P.M. EST.
    Final Voting begins August 6th and ends August 7th at 11:59 P.M. EST.
     
    Only two of these occurred, with semifinal voting being completely removed, despite there being plenty of time... Plenty. On top of this there has been no explanation for why which is another common occurrence, as far as I am aware at least, maybe it was hidden in a blog somewhere. All I know is that it wasn't exactly made publicly aware, to my knowledge.
     
    I mean I know this contest is pretty much over, except for the final voting because someone on flickr recently posted about sending in a moc they entered for final voting, a moc with the most votes in his voting topic. So if the contestants that made it to the top three have been made aware, why hasn't everyone else, including the other people who entered? Mind you I didn't enter so it's like I'm saying this because I have a horse in the running, not the case. This is just something that has bothered me for quite sometime... The lack of schedule keeping, with typically no reason provided for why, especially with the Flickr Contests.
     
     
    I'm not meaning for this to be a target or attack against anyone, it's just something I've observed and has bothered me for at least a year now.

    Camera Help?

    Alright I don't normally ask for help, but I'm finding myself in a bit where I can find the answer to something but it's incredibly confusing answers.
     
    As I mentioned awhile ago, I bought a new camera... well Newish. I understand most of the functions of it, but some I still don't understand when the right time would be to use them. I've tried looking up the answers, but most I find are overly technical in their explaining and I end up being unable to really comprehend.
     
    So hopefully there are some folks who know their camera info and who can help answer this in a layman's manner. Firstly what is ISO, and should I just keep it on auto? Secondly when is the right time/situation to use AF Lock, AE Lock, and FE Lock?
     
    Just for reference I'm using a Canon Powershot SD1000, from like 2006/2007... Not sure if that helps but figured I'd state that. Also it is my first digital camera so part of the reason why I'm wanting to make sure I really understand and can make use of the settings.

    Clumsy Cat

    So not more than 5 minutes ago my cat, gir, was laying on the edge of my bed sleeping peacefully. Apparently he decides to wake up and stretch while rolling over. Long story short he managed to roll right over the edge, though there was a brief moment where he clung to the sheet with wide eyes before falling to the ground... I have never laughed so hard at my cat. Then when he gets back up he still has this dazed kind of look on his face.
     
    Mind you this the first time he has ever been that clumsy in four years

    well as of today tok, Alaska has a temp of 6.6*f and a windchill of 7*f and light snow. we are supposed to maintain this temp for the rest of the week. which is a relief since mos of last week we were at on average -20*f, but our lowest was -40*f.
    most Alaskans are predicting a bad winter.

    Ok i created this little guy out of boredom and i got a hero factory scorpio set and i fell in love with the hands and wanted to use them in a bionicle moc. Well this is what came out of boredom. I'm also glad i finally found a use for those saw blades i had and it has an added benefit of fitting on his upper arms as seen in second photo. oh and on a side not his saws are similar to the whip used by the belmont family in the castlevania series. and i like this guy som much that i can't take him apart.

    Reaper was found by the Shadowed one during his trip to metru nui. Due to his size most dark hunters and others see him as weak but are surprised when he can disarm them in seconds. Some time in the past He met Shadow Stealer and the 2 have been enemies ever since. The shadowed one sends him on missions that require stealth along with force. His weapons of choice are his chained saw blades that he can use similar to throwing a rope but his saws are spinning at high speeds resulting in supreme damage

    Dark Souls shtuff

    So I recently completed my initial playthrough of Dark Souls, 170 hours later, and after messing around with some invaders I decided to create a secondary character.
     
    You see my initial character is somewhat of a Int build, with varying bits of strength and dexterity. I like being able to wear these heavy**** armors and able to take hits, but still able to use my magic. Like currently for him I'm using an Enchanted Scythe +5, able to deal 600 damage, Logan's catalyst and a Black Knight Shield +5. Armor Wise I'm typically using the Black Knight +5 set, though sometimes I change it out with bits of Black Iron set. Overall I'm somewhat satisfied with this build. Oh and the current SL is 144
     
    However for this new character I'm thinking pure strength/dex build. I'm typically not one who likes this type of combat, but I figured I'd give it a try. I want the character to be able to use light armor, so I'm probably going to be using the Thief set, since it offers decent defenses for a light armor, and it's weight is good. Though I'm also going to be putting alot of levels into Endurance, because boy will this character need to be dodging alot.
     
     
    So yeah, just thought I'd share this.

    So as the title says, I am looking for advice on the Fate/Stay series. Right now on Hulu they have two different versions of the anime (More technically if including Zero) and I'm not sure which one I should attempt to start. Theres Fate/Stay Night and then Fate/Stay Night [unlimited Blade Works]. I know next to nothing about the anime, except that it's one that has been on my 'to-watch' list for awhile. As such I'm hoping someone may be able to give advice on which one is better worth sitting down and watching. Now I know someone is going to say 'why not just watch both' and to that I have a very simple answer. I already have a back-log of anime that I want to watch, and I simply want to try and choose one to put priority on, and I may infact come back to the other sometime later.
     
    So yeah... if anyone has advice on which one would be better to watch first, considering UBW is nearly twice as long as the other, it would be very much appreciated.
