  1. My apologies for double-posting, but since it is new content I assume I'm allowed to do so.

Anyways, without further ado, here are the

    GAMEDAY FOUR RESULTS

    Unilateral Underscore Ussal Utopia 26
    Gali (13 / +5 / -4) 14
    Naho (5 / +4 / -2) 7
    Tuyet (4 / +4 / -3) 5

    The Robotic Toa 16
    Dume (10 / +3 / -4) 9
    Tahnok (4 / +2 / -6) 0
    Kohrak (7 / +0 / -0) 7

Recap: U4 rebounded from a couple of frustating defeats to beat the Robotic Toa by ten points, due in part to the solid team chemistry of their water-heavy lineup. The Robotic Toa's undermanned squad turned in a historically low 16 points, featuring the league's first ever scoreless performance (Tahnok).

    Ta-Metru Tahtoraks 43
    Takanuva (14 / +0 / -0) 14
    Lhikan (11 / +2 / -0) 13
    Jaller (9 / +3 / -0) 12
    Pahrak (4 / +0 / -0) 4

    The Enlightened Shadows 31
    Nidhiki (9 / +0 / -3) 6
    Krekka (9 / +0 / -0) 9
    Norik (7 / +0 / -0) 7
    GregF (9 / +0 / -0) 9

Recap: In a "tale of two cities" match, the Ta-Metru Tahtoraks continued their undefeated run while the Enlightened Shadows' failed to clinch their first victory. Hurt by their lack of team chemistry, the Shadows simply could not produce enough points to stay competitive, with not a single player finishing in double digits. With this loss, the Shadows are officially eliminated from playoff contention, while Ta-Metru clinches a spot in the playoffs.

    Bionicle Strikers 43
    Lewa (13 / +2 / -0) 15
    Matau (9 / +3 / -0) 12
    Nikila (7 / +0 / -0) 7
    Pohatu (15 / + / -6) 9

    Team Chryptic 39
    Kongu (7 / +1 / -2) 6
    Iruini (9 / +1 / -3) 7
    Makuta (17 / +0 / -0) 17
    Jovan (9 / +0 / -0) 9

Recap: In a heartbreaking four point loss, Team Chryptic falls to the Bionicle Strikers. Team Chryptic was hampered by low-end production from all of its players except Makuta, who finished with a game-high 17 points. The Bionicle Strikers were once again aided by the team chemistry of Lewa and Matau, with Pohatu also providing a healthy point boost, despite being weakened by Kongu and Iruini.

    Metru-Nui Time Force (L)

    The Oncoming Storm ~30 (W)
    Lariska (12 / +0 / -?) 12
    Kohrak-Kal (6 / +0 / -?) 6
    Lehvak (5 / +1 / -?) 6
    Zaktan (5 / +1 / -?) 6

Recap: Perhaps it's a good thing that the Metru-Nui Time Force failed to show up to its match, seeing as analytics projected the Oncoming Storm to get no more than 30 points this game. Nevertheless, the Oncoming Storm have now "broke even," having won as many as they've lost.

Alright, I am now accepting lineups for Game 5! Those lineups will be due by 12:00am EST on Sunday, July 13th. Just in case y'all have forgotten, all of my times are in Eastern Standard Time (EST). I would hate for y'all to miss a deadline just because you forgot about time conversion.

Anyways, we're nearing the end of the regular season, and the field of playoff contenders is still wide open! Speaking of playoffs, I thought I might offer this by way of reminder: the four teams with the best records in the league advance to the playoffs. Winning 4 games (or more) essentially guarantees that you will make the playoffs. Losing 4 games (or more) means you are eliminated from playoff contention. With only 3 games left, it's all "do or die" from this point forward.
  2. Another clarification (sorry to bog you guys down in all of these, but I keep thinking of game-breaking loopholes), you cannot trade players who are in your lineup for the upcoming game. So, if one team were to send me a lineup with Hewkii in it, they couldn't then trade Hewkii until after the game. Otherwise, they could use him, trade him, and then another team could end up using him in the same game.

  3. No.

Also may I just remind everyone to please keep your original roster posts updated when you make trades? That way people can easily see your current roster.

  4. GAMEDAY THREE RESULTS

    Unilateral Underscore Ussal Utopia 44

    Axonn (15 / +0 / -0) 15

    Keetongu (10 / +0 / -2) 8

    Onewa (8 / +0 / -0) 8

    Gali (13 / +0 / -0) 13

    The Oncoming Storm 45

    Lariska (12 / +0 / -3) 9

    Kohrak-Kal (9 / +0 / -0) 9

    Nuparu (12 / +1 / -0) 13

    Onua (13 / +1 / -0) 14

Recap: In an unbelievable turn of events, U4 gets edged by one point in its second straight game as the Oncoming Storm narrowly clinch their first victory. Though the team chemistry between Nuparu and Onua was a bit lacking, it still gave the Storm just enough of a boost to overcome their opponents.

    Ta-Metru Tahtoraks 70

    Tahu (13 / +6 / -0) 19

    Jaller (10 / +3 / -0) 13

    Lhikan (13 / +8 / -0) 21

    Vakama (13 / +4 / -0) 17

    The Robotic Toa 68

    Kopaka (11 / +7 / -0) 18

    Nuju (12 / +6 / -0) 18

    Matoro (13 / +5 / -0) 18

    Kualas (7 / +7 / -0) 14

Recap: Scoring a league-high 70 points and featuring an astonishing performance by Lhikan, the Ta-Metru Tahtoraks narrowly defeated the heretofore dominant Robotic Toa. In the end, it may have been the newcomer Jaller (recently traded from U4) who made the difference, as he strengthened the Tahtoraks' already fire-heavy squad.

    Bionicle Strikers 37

    Matau (10 / +1 / -2) 9

    Lewa (12 / +3 / -3) 12

    Pohatu (15 / +0 / -0) 15

    Varian (2 / +0 / -1) 1

    The Enlightened Shadows 30

    GregF (9 / +0 / -0) 9

    Hewkii (10 / +0 / -3) 7

    Norik (6 / +0 / -0) 6

    Helryx (8 / +0 / -0) 8

Recap: In a particularly low-scoring match overall, the Bionicle Strikers handed yet another defeat to the Enlightened Shadows' squad, despite a disastrous performance from Varian. The Shadows struggled once again to scrounge up points, a weakness which may be their eventual undoing. With such a dysfunctional squad, trades may be a factor in the near future.

    Metru-Nui Time Force 51

    Whenua (13 / +2 / -0) 15

    Bomonga (8 / +6 / -0) 14

    Nuhvok (6 / +5 / -0) 11

    Hahli (11 / +0 / -0) 11

    Team Chryptic 41

    Kongu (12 / +5 / -0) 17

    Iruini (8 / +6 / -0) 14

    Lesovikk (14 / +3 / -0) 17

    bonesiii (3 / +0 / -0) 3

Recap: With a markedly different squad than the one they played in their last game, the Metru-Nui Time Force used their team chemistry and a reliable performer (Hahli) to get the job done in Game 3. Team Chryptic employed a similar strategy, starting 3 players with the same affinity, but unfortunately their support player (bonesii) was unevenly matched against Hahli.

    ---

Alright, I am now accepting lineups for Game 4! We're already almost halfway through the regular season, and the Tahtoraks are the only undefeated team remaining.

I would also just like to say that, from this point forward, there will be no lineup substitutions after you've already PMed me your lineups. All lineups sent to me must be final.

  5. You are allowed to play a man down; which means, yes, you could send the same four players out 3 times in a row and then play 3 players your next game.

  6. GAMEDAY TWO RESULTS

    Bionicle Strikers 27

    InnerRayg - (5 / +0 / -0) 5

    Nikila - (8 / +0 / -0) 8

    Varian - (6 / +0 / -0) 6

    Black Six - (8 / +0 / -0) 8

    The Robotic Toa 66

    Kopaka - (12 / +6 / -0) 18

    Nuju - (12 / +7 / -0) 19

    Matoro - (12 / +4 / -0) 16

    Kualas - (7 / +6 / -0) 13

Recap: A blowout doesn't even begin to describe it. In their second-straight 60+ point game, the Robotic Toa absolutely stomped a lackluster Strikers' B-squad. The Robotic Toa featured strong performances from all four players, although Matoro wasn't quite as bombastic as he was in Game 1.

    Ta-Metru Tahtoraks 63

    Tahu - (10 / +5 / -0) 15

    Takanuva - (14 / +0 / -0) 14

    Lhikan - (13 / +4 / -0) 17

    Vakama - (13 / +4 / -0) 17

    The Oncoming Storm 41

    Lehvak - (5 / +2 / -) 7

    Nuparu - (8 / +3 / -) 11

    Onua - (14 / +2 / -) 16

    Zaktan - (5 / +2 / -) 7

Recap: Facing their first legitimate opponent, the Ta-Metru Tahtoraks proved their mettle with a 20+ point win over the Oncoming Storm. With a slightly retooled roster, the TMTs instantly clicked with their common fire affinity, with Takanuva providing a healthy point boost.

    Unilateral Underscore Ussal Utopia 43

    Axonn - (16 / +0/ -1) 15

    Keetongu - (10 / +0 / -0) 10

    Onewa - (10 / +0 / -4) 6

    Nokama - (12 / +0 / -0) 12

    Team Chryptic 44

    Jovan - (8 / +0 / -0) 8

    Makuta - (16 / +0 / -1) 15

    Lesovikk - (11 / +4 / -1) 14

    Iruini - (7 / +3 / -3) 7

Recap: In the narrowest margin of victory so far, Team Chryptic edged U4 by just 1 point. Chryptic was helped along by the shared affinity of two of its players, Lesovikk and Iruini, with Makuta also delivering a strong performance.

    Metru-Nui Time Force 44

    Vezon - (10 / +0 / -0) 10

    Krakua - (14 / +0 / -0) 14

    Hahli - (10 / +0 / -0) 10

    Whenua - (10 / +0 / -0) 10

    The Enlightened Shadows 35

    Nidhiki - (10 / +0 / -0) 10

    Zaria - (7 / +0 / -0) 7

    Helryx - (8 / +0 / -0) 8

    Hewkii - (10 / +0 / -0) 10

Recap: Despite underwhelming production from their main playmaker, Vezon, the Metru-Nui Time Force powered themselves to a 9-point victory over the Enlightened Shadows. For the second straight game the Enlightened Shadows have suffered poor point production; hopefully Game 3 will change that.

    -----

Anyways, I am now accepting lineups for Game 3! Make sure you have them in to me by 12:00am on July 9th.

Also, I just want to offer a little bit of clarification on the "no-more-than-3-games-straight" rule: Trades do not affect this rule. Let's say that a player plays 3 straight games for Team 1, and is then traded to Team 2. Team 2 must rest that player, otherwise he would play more than 3 straight games, albeit for different teams.

  7. Well, we're just a few hours away from the deadline for Gameday Two and I am currently missing FOUR lineup PM's.

I won't be extending the deadline, so please make sure you get them in very soon. If two competitors facing each other fail to show up to their match, they will both receive losses.

  8. Okay, before I get started with Gameday One's results, I just want to explain the box scores a little bit. Beside each player are parentheses, and inside the parentheses is their score. The score is laid out like so: (base number of points / +points from affinities / -points from weaknesses). Hopefully this will help you to understand how / why your team won / lost.

    GAMEDAY ONE RESULTS

    Metru-Nui Time Force 46
    Vezon - (21 / +0 / - ) 21
    Krakua - (14 / +0 / - ) 14
    Bomonga - (8 / +0 / -7) 1
    Hahli - (10 / +0 / - ) 10

    The Robotic Toa 64
    Kopaka - (11 / +4 / -3) 12
    Nuju - (12 / +8 / -2) 18
    Matoro - (17 / +6 / -2) 21
    Kualas - (9 / +5/ -1) 13

Recap: Despite a superstar showing from Vezon, the Metru-Nui Time Force simply could not overcome the stifling team chemistry of the Robotic Toa. The Robotic Toa's all-ice lineup played well across the board, including a powerhouse performance from the recently-traded Matoro. Judging by the results of this game, the Robotic Toa may be the team to beat in the league.

    Ta-Metru Tahtoraks 46 (W)
    Tahu - (14 / +0 / -0) 14
    Takanuva - (14 / +0 / -3) 11
    Gali - (13 / +2 / -0) 15
    Naho - (5 / +1 / -0) 6

    Team Chryptic 48 (L)
    Jovan - (14 / +0 / -6) 8
    Lesovikk - (13 / +2 / -0) 15
    Makuta - (17 / +0 / -1) 16
    Iruini - (6 / +3 / -0) 9

Recap: Due to Team Chryptic's absence, this match was forfeited in favor of the Ta-Metru Tahtoraks. However, theoretically, these teams would have been very evenly matched, with Team Chryptic edging the Ta-Metru Tahtoraks by just a couple of points.

    The Bionicle Strikers 50
    Vakama - (15 / +0 / -0) 15
    Pohatu - (12 / +0 / -0) 12
    Lewa - (15 / +0 / -0) 15
    Black Six (8 / +0 / -0) 8

    The Oncoming Storm 45
    Lariska - (12 / +0 / -0) 12
    Kohrak-Kal - (7 / +0 / -1) 6
    Nuparu - ( 10/ +2 / -0) 12
    Onua - ( 13 / +2 / -0) 15

Recap: In yet another close match, the Bionicle Strikers edged the Oncoming Storm by just five points. All four of the Strikers turned in admirable performances, playing to their full potential. The Oncoming Storm also performed well, yet in the end simply could not overcome their opponents.

    Unilateral Underscore Ussal Utopia 40
    Axonn - (16 / + / -0) 16
    Keetongu - (10 / +0 / -1) 9
    Onewa - (10 / + / -0) 10
    Reidak - (5 / + / -0) 5

    Enlightened Shadows 29
    GregF - (9 / +0 / -0) 9
    Krekka - (6 / +0 / -0) 6
    Nidhiki - (5 / +0 / -1) 4
    Norik - (10 / +0 / -0) 10

Recap: In the second-most disparate match of the first round, the Ussals took advantage of an underperforming Enlightened Shadows squad. The Ussals all played well, while the Shadows' lineup failed to live up to their potential. Here's hoping the Shadows can pull it together before the next matchup.

Anyways, I am now accepting lineups for Gameday Two! Please PM me by 12:00am July 7. Also, please keep your roster posts updated, so players know exactly what they're up against when they form their strategies.

I also need to clarify a recently-added rule change: no player may play more than 3 games straight. So, if a player participates in 3 consecutive games, he MUST take the next game off. This is to keep teams from abusing the more powerful members of their team. Also, I just want to remind everyone that you may trade players up until the postseason, but ALL trades must be announced in the game topic so as to make all players aware of changing rosters.

  11. Oh yeah, whoops. Sorry. For future reference, everyone, all of my times are in EST. You'll have to do your own conversions. :P

Okay, just waiting on Blade and Chro to PM me their preferences. I'll give them until 6:00am tomorrow (July 3rd) to PM me. After that, they'll just have to take what they're given.

  12. We are just a few hours away from the draft deadline, and we are only midway through the fourth round of the draft. Auto-drafting will start taking place sometime tomorrow.

It will work as follows: first, I need y'all to PM me the remaining list of characters, arranged in order of your preference. I will then cross-reference these lists to determine which teams get which players. Conflicts in preference (i.e. if two teams have the same fighter in the same preference slot) will be handled with RNG. If a team wins a contested fighter, then the next fighter they contest will automatically go to another team, so as to not tip the scales in one team's favor.

Any picks made before 11:59pm will still be counted, but if y'all could go ahead and PM me your preferences (I believe Toarobot18 already has), that would be great.

  13. Yeah, I've been on mobile alot recently so I haven't been able to edit very easily. Although, the first post should be completely up to date now.

  14. I think we'll stick with the current system for the time being. If we draw closer to the draft deadline and things have barely progressed then I'll try to work up an easy, alternate system.

  15. Yeah, that's the problem. If we could get everyone online at once this could go pretty quickly. But if we just let people draft a bunch of players at once that would throw off the balancing aspect of the draft.

  16. Hey, just a heads-up: I was hoping the drafting process would go a bit more quickly than this, but obviously we all have our everyday lives to attend to. So I am setting a hard deadline for the draft for 11:59pm Tuesday July 1st. If we can get all of the players drafted before then, that's great. But after that time, if there are any players remaining on the board, they will be auto-drafted to the teams that need them. I will try to balance the auto-drafting so as to not stack one team with good players or players with the same affinity.

  17. Storytelling, Spritemaking and Order have no special quality. They were merely invented to give "elements" to the BZPower characters, since they are not characters from the Bionicle canon.

And you are right about affinities. If no one is weak to it, and no one else has it, it is, for most intents and purposes, meaningless.

  18. I'll take Nikila. =P

/EDIT: Is there really supposed to be nothing which is weak to lightning?

Yeah, there are some affinities to which no one is weak. Just like there are some people who are weak to nothing. I've tried to balance the players well, but obviously some players may be preferable to others, depending on your strategy.

  19. Okay, sorry I haven't responded yet. I'm on mobile, so I'll edit your team into the first post later on.

Just wanted to post reminding you all that the league is closed and the draft is now fully underway. Once Vox makes his first pick, the order of drafting will proceed as follows.

    1. Mairanui
    2. Blade
    3. Burnmad
    4. Portalfig
    5. Toarobot18
    6. ShadowVezon
    7. Chro
    8. Voxumo

You all will take turns making draft picks until all draft prospects have been claimed. If that takes too long, then after the fourth or fifth pick the remaining prospects may be auto-drafted. But hopefully this will go fairly quickly. :)
