    Zatch Bell

    I'm currently rewatching/(watching for the first time since I only remember them beating Zophis) the series, subbed, and gah, I get so attached to Zatch and Kiyo's ally mamodo teams.
     
    Yopopo, Danny, and Nya are the ones I got really attached to and absolutely didn't tear up when their books got burned. Not at all. Especially Danny.
     
     
     
    Also on another note, Naruto is set to end this week. It's been a good run.

    7 Years

    Wow, 7 years already? Time flies.
     
    BZP has been a huge influence on my life. My writing skills and definitely improved as a direct result, Arceus forbid the data be recovered, because those would be embarrassing posts and topics to see again. =P
    A lot changes in 7 years. Friends have come and gone, for one reason or another.
     
    I wouldn't have changed a thing. It's been a fun 7 years, thanks guys. =)

    Testing

    AP Testing week is in a few hours. Got my first one ever tomorrow, AP Chem, and three more over the next two weeks. ._.
    Chem and Language/Composition this week, and Music Theory and US History the next.
     
    I think the worst part about it is that I feel that school should be ending relatively soon since nearly all of my classes are having the "final" for the class in the next two weeks, but there's still more than a month to go.

    WE'RE GOING TO STATE!
     
    After a three year period of missing state by 1-2 points, we're finally going, placing 4th in our division. =D
     
    My results were:
    2nd place in Experimental Design
    3rd place in Geologic Mapping
    3rd place in Entomology
    5th place in Write it Do it
    I was the most decorated member on the team. :> I've got 16 medals this season so far. Most on the team for this year as well. =D

    My team did really well! =D
     
    As did I! Placed in all my events.
    First place in Experimental Design
    First place in Write It Do It
    Second place in Geologic Mapping
    Third place in Entomology
    The WiDi was a great surprise too, having never placed in the past two years that I've been doing it. =D
     
    Got another competition next week, hopefully we do just as well. Half the team'll be gone, though. =P

    As people have called it, Naracraft is back online. Sorry about the downtime, though I'm sure nobody noticed. =P
     
    If anyone new wants to be whitelisted, leave your minecraft name in the comments and I'll get you asap. There's not really any activity on the server but it's there if you want.
     
    EDIT: Also, as the 1.7.4 Chicken Jockeys cause tremendous amounts of lag, mobGriefing will be turned off to prevent the zombies from picking up eggs. This will also prevent creepers from breaking blocks and endermen from picking stuff up. It'll stay off until there's a fix for the chicken jockeys, but if people really want we can revert the server back to 1.7.2.

    SciO season's in the air. That's Science Olympiad, and yes, I'm in it. =P
     
    I've got another invitational tomorrow, third one of the year. This year, my events are Entomology, Geologic Mapping, Experimental Design, and Write It Do It.
    Entomology is the study of bugs. In the event, a partner and I identify and answer questions about an insect (preserved or in a photograph) within 2-3 minutes, and we rotate around stations. It's been pretty easy so far, placed 1st and 2nd the past two invites.
    Geologic Mapping is exactly what it sounds like, a partner and I are required to be proficient in geographic maps, geologic cross-sections, topographic maps, know geologic structures, and calculating stuff. I was thrown in to it last invite and we placed second to last. It's pretty fun, though, hoping to get in the top five tomorrow.
    Experimental Design is an event where you and two partners are given a bunch of stuff and we have to design an experiment and write a lab report, in under 50 minutes. They score us based off of a rubric and they give the rubric out. I've consistently placed in this for two years now as well as the past two invites. I personally think it's the easiest event since all you have to do to place is memorize the rubric and do the lab fast, but it seems like other schools don't have it down yet. =P
    In Write It Do It, one partner (me) sees a contraption built out of random things, and I have to write how to build it for my partner, 25 minute time limit. My partner then comes into the room while I exit and sees a pile of stuff, containing all the things in the contraption and extras. Scoring is based off of how closely your partner builds the thing, and it gets really specific. It seems like there's nobody who consistently places in this.
    It's fun. This year my school's team has been pretty good, with varsity placing 7th out of 42 and 3rd out of 12. Hopefully we can make it to State this year, having missed it be less than a point the past two years. =P

    Pokemon

    Completed the Kalos Dex, as a part of a Living Dex project. First time I've completed a regional Dex ever.
    Now that that's done, I'm going on to breeding competitively viable Pokemon. Got two IV bred so far, 5/6 IV Phantump with Harvest and a 5IV breeding pair of Aron. Currently breeding for a 5IV female Froakie with Protean, it's a pain. Stupid gender ratio. >.> I did get a fully EV trained Starmie, probably with lackluster IVs, from the GTS though.
    Also caught a shiny Trevenant from a horde, one of my favorite shinies. =D
     
     
    Ohey I just bred a perfect 6IV male Froakie with Torrent.

    If anyone still plays. =P I opened a 1.7.2 server, pure survival. If anyone's interested, comment with your Minecraft username and I'll add you to the whitelist.

    Tons of fun, Orange Team nearly got a kill. I looked around in creative and found a spawner right near our spawn, Blade, with horse armor and saddles. If we found that, we probably could've gotten a kill.
     
    Also, the seed we used was really something else. 4 Jungle Temples, 2 Desert Villages, and about 8 pink sheep in a swamp. Plus, a plains biome with a ton of horses and donkeys.

    Plus, entered my first BZPc and won, though under some unexpected circumstances. Either way, it was a lot of fun. c: Also, it was RotR's anniversary.

    This Saturday is Rise of the Rocket's birthday! I think it's the third, but honestly, feels like the RPG opened just a year ago. I was planning on getting a demo of the game out, but with school deciding to carpet bomb us with stuff the last quarter, it doesn't look like that'll happen. :c
     
    Marching band starts in 16 days. I'm excited for that.
     
    My school is holding an Olympic-style tournament where most of the clubs go head to head in two types of events, athletic and academic . The winning club gets a hefty sum of money, I think. Personally, I think we should just use our money to build another entrance to the campus, as we only have one and it's a mess to get in and out.
    I joined for SciO, and I think we're doing Volleyball, Family Feud, and Dodgeball.
     
    Geez. If you told me that I'd be doing all this two years ago, I would've laughed in your face and called you crazy.

    SciO: Regional Results

    This past Saturday was our regional. Nearly everyone on the team, Varsity and JV, placed high in their events.
     
    However, history has a sad sense of humor. Last year, our team lost state by four points.
     
    This year, it was seven we lost by. We would have made it, too, but our Thermo box got 10 points deducted for some reason that I don't fully understand.
     
     
    Oh well! Better start studying for next year. =)
    The list for next year's events is already out, and it usually doesn't change that much. So, assuming the list is "final," I'll be doing entomology, MagLev, Experimental, hopefully Write it Do it, and I want to try Mission Possible. I heard that it was probably the worst event ever, but it sounds fun. =P
     
    Really hoping for Sounds of Music to come back in two years. As seniors, we would destroy the competition. =P

    I said last year (as in, November/December) that I knew what classes I'm taking senior year. Well, that's proven to be wrong.
     
    There's a chance that AP Music Theory will be brought back next year, and I'm taking it. However, that means one less class, and unfortunately, I'm giving up art. Which means that I can't take the art class I really want to take senior year, because of prerequisites.
     
    I can't even drop lunch to take the art class, because of AP Chem, which is a period and a half. I'd drop it senior year but I can't take the two concurrently.
     
    I don't need to take a class that teaches me what I already know, in order for me to take a class to help for college and the like. It's silly to sit through a year of already-learnt information.
     
    Sigh. I wish there were more hours of the school day.

    Busy Busy Busy

    I have a perfectly logical explanation for my lack of activity on here.
     
    SCHOOL.
     
    Unlike most other people, I have my finals in two days as opposed to before Christmas, so teachers are cramming. Which means homework. Add Science Olympiad into that and you've got yourself a negative amount of free time!
     
    I think it's taken a toll on my sanity.
     
     
    However, that being said, I have almost no time to do anything but school. Which means that, unfortunately, Alpha 0.0.1 of Operation Rally will be pushed back. As for how far back, I can't really say. After finals, I've got an elongated weekend, so maybe some progress will happen there and things will be back on track? I dunno. SciO is at a higher priority than the game right now, but I usually have a lot of downtime during competitions.
     
    I'll get back to work soon, I promise.

    In other news, I should be asleep right now because winter break technically ends in an hour and school returns tomorrow. So meh, tired am I not.
     
    But I did learn that two weeks without writing anything really messes with your handwriting. Not that mine was legible before, but now it seems difficult to write stuff. ._.
