    Wow, 7 years already? Time flies.
     
    BZP has been a huge influence on my life. My writing skills and definitely improved as a direct result, Arceus forbid the data be recovered, because those would be embarrassing posts and topics to see again. =P
    A lot changes in 7 years. Friends have come and gone, for one reason or another.
     
    I wouldn't have changed a thing. It's been a fun 7 years, thanks guys. =)

    For now, most of the art I'll post will be of my RotR characters. But I'll categorize it anyway.

    ---Updated design for Justin. Again. Kind of a throwback to his original design, but with a haircut and cooler shirt.
    Zac and Melon Color
    ---Updated design for Zac. I keep forgetting how old he's getting.
    Eric and Slush Color
    ---Personally, I think he looks better without color.

    Assassins and Updates

    No not assassin's creed.
     
    So, our SciO team wins a spirit award at this one invite every year, and this year, we're winning it by having a game of Assassins. All day, secret alliances, winner gets a bag of skittles.
     
    And I intend to win.
     
     
    Also, that BZP countdown thing is nice. I like it.
     
     
    Also, basically no progress on the RotR game. My chance to go to state for SciO is on the line, so.. yeah. Not to mention that I'm getting this odd glitch that I'm not sure how to fix, but the maps are done. I guess I could give out an awful demo, I'll put in some NPCs if you guys want.

    I have a solo this time. I'm really nervous, since it's literally a solo for about 10 seconds. Afterwards, accompanied by a clarinet.
     
    Just me playing, nothing else.
    And ten seconds is a long time in band-world.

    My concert band was invited to play at the Midwest Clinic, an international conference for band/orchestra. A professor from Cornell University will be conducting our rehearsal as an opportunity to show new methods of teaching to band directors and showing off how to use iPads and Google Glass during rehearsals.
     
    She came in during school today to meet us beforehand, and she's hilarious. =P Google Glass doesn't look as silly as I imagined it, it's actually really awesome and I kinda want it now.
     
    Oh, and one of the songs we're playing during the rehearsal is from Frank Ticheli, one of the most well known concert band composers. Plus, one of my favorite composers. Apparently he's supposed to be there and may be watching us play one of his songs. Excited and nervous as the same time. D=D

    Plus, entered my first BZPc and won, though under some unexpected circumstances. Either way, it was a lot of fun. c: Also, it was RotR's anniversary.

    Busy Busy Busy

    I have a perfectly logical explanation for my lack of activity on here.
     
    SCHOOL.
     
    Unlike most other people, I have my finals in two days as opposed to before Christmas, so teachers are cramming. Which means homework. Add Science Olympiad into that and you've got yourself a negative amount of free time!
     
    I think it's taken a toll on my sanity.
     
     
    However, that being said, I have almost no time to do anything but school. Which means that, unfortunately, Alpha 0.0.1 of Operation Rally will be pushed back. As for how far back, I can't really say. After finals, I've got an elongated weekend, so maybe some progress will happen there and things will be back on track? I dunno. SciO is at a higher priority than the game right now, but I usually have a lot of downtime during competitions.
     
    I'll get back to work soon, I promise.

    BZP Age and Stories

    It's odd, to me, that I am older than some people who I'd figure to be older than I. Join date wise, anyway. Maybe it's my post count compared to theirs.
     
     
    In other news, I think I'm going to have a second shot at an Epic. My first one was back in my first year here, I think, and while I finished it, I don't really like how it's written.
     
    Actually it may be one of the only stories I've finished. Ever.
     
    So yeah. I've got a plot in mind, but there are also a mess of characters who are essential to the plot but may not be relevant to the story at any given point. Regardless, I'm going to try to give personality and background to these characters. However, there are sixteen and I initially planned on spending a week with each character to flesh it out more, but I don't think I can wait 16+ weeks before beginning to write. So I'll do it in pairs, since that's how they show up in story.
     
    Actually it's kinda really eight characters with a partner but those are only the [currently] important Matoran/Toa. I currently don't have any Turaga created, and I envision there to be six. I also don't have any antagonists, and I'm debating on whether they'll be Dark Hunters or Makuta. Chances are, it'll be both, but not at the same time.

    Tons of fun, Orange Team nearly got a kill. I looked around in creative and found a spawner right near our spawn, Blade, with horse armor and saddles. If we found that, we probably could've gotten a kill.
     
    Also, the seed we used was really something else. 4 Jungle Temples, 2 Desert Villages, and about 8 pink sheep in a swamp. Plus, a plains biome with a ton of horses and donkeys.

    Witty shirts for my parents and cousins.
    Plush Peashooter that shoots a pea from Plants v. Zombie for my brother.
    A plush talking Turret from Portal 2 for my sister.

    I was hoping to save a lot of money to eventually buy myself a nice new Cannonball Sax, but it's Christmas.

    Final Fantasy

    After listening to the ending theme for Final Fantasy VI I wanted to (finally) jump in. I've started Final Fantasy I but don't have much progress; just defeated Garland and obtained the lute.
     
    Playing the remake for GBA. I'm having a great time getting used to the controls and setup for a game released.. 10 years ago, I think? Almost 10 years now.

    For Science Olympiad, anyway. I am now in another event, Forestry.
     
    Basically, you go around identifying leaves and answering questions about them.
     
     
    Yes, it's as awful as it sounds. But I've been taking online quizzes and finally got my highest score so far, a 65%! =D
    I will have a partner for the actual event, so hopefully she's got her stuff in order. Because this is one of the more ridiculous events.
