I aired the first part of a gameplay demo of the RPG on a non BZP site yesterday, and it got a pretty good reception(except Blackout was dissapointed that his pet got stolen by TM). So far, it's looking like it's gonna be a pretty free range RPG, with open planets and stuff.

The only thing that I was able to air on time was a underground/acidy dungeon type place, and it worked out really well IMO. The platform jumping worked out nicely(using numbers to choose which platform would be jumped on). The spaceship(which will be called the Tecerra 7) added a nice touch as well, as people got to travel to different landing points and explore the planets from there. Another plus was the use of the Frost Beam to do stuff like freeze over a layer of rising acid or lava.

Didn't get to much planet exploration, sadly. I'm expecting to test some of that later with a demo crowd. It should be free exploration, as I said earlier. Multiple cities on each planet will mean many people to talk to, as well as people to possibly purchase items from, including longer attack times and the likes.

Boss combat is looking like it'll be turn based, or as close to that as I can get it. The two bosses I tried out last night worked pretty well. I'm still trying to instate a counterattack feature, but that's looking like it's gonna be difficult considering that BZP is a forum site and not a chat.

Space travel looks like it's gonna play a relatively minor part. Other than using the ship for traveling to other planets, it seems like it's not gonna be used at all.

Updates will continue as we demo more stuff.

    Premier Membership is back.

And I shall begin blogging again by saying that the Kendan are back, lead by TNM. Mesonak says that they are technically both one team, but that if there was any division, he'd be on the Kendan.

Well, it's looking like the Haloid war will never end on this blog, and especially not considering that Other M and Reach will most likely end up in a showdown sometime in the video game playoffs of 2010(which Reach will probably steamroll thanks to the failures at Team Ninja), so I thought it was appropriate to take time to look at what each series does well, and why neither has to necessarily be "so much bettarz111!" than the other.

What Halo does better than Metroid:

Story: Halo takes the time to have Master Chief/Noble Six/whoever's the main character interact with people and makes sure that people really understand what's going on. Since Super Metroid in 1994, there really hasn't been a Metroid game that's done that, thanks to all the scan stuff in the Prime series. Other M is an exception, but the story got so horribly murdered at the end of the game that I'm not even going to discuss that. Halo has a much better story than Metroid.

Multiplayer: This should be an obvious, because most Metroid games don't even try at multiplayer, which is a bit of a disappointment: I think a Metroid co-op would be very do-able/awesome. Hunters had a decent multiplayer, but it was nowhere near the level of Halo multiplayer. To put it into perspective, it takes me less time to get a game on Halo CE demo for Mac than it does on SSBB wi-fi. That's how awesome the Halo multiplayer has been.

Interesting Allies: Something that every Metroid game has really lacked is a go-to number 2 guy. Sure, Samus is awesome and all, but what about when you need someone else to fill in a story gap? They've tried several times with people like Adam Malkovich and Anthony Higgs, but none of them have really been all that inspirational(although I really never expected anyone to tell Ridley that he has no style). Halo has had tons of characters on the UNSC's side that have been completely loved by fans(Sgt. Johnson, Noble Team, ODST squad in ODST, both Keyes, Thel 'Vadam, etc.)

And now for what Metroid does better than Halo:

Gameplay: Yeah, I'm gonna get ripped for this, but think about it: What is Halo? It's a regular shooter wrapped around an epic story. In a Metroid game, there's fighting, there's exploring, there's item-acquasitioning(not a word but I dun care), there's boss battling, etc. The Metroid gameplay in and of itself is so much more complex than Halo's, and that for me is a giant plus, cause I don't feel like I'm being goaded on where to go every second.

Interesting Equipment: Did I mention items? The equipment you get in Metroid is at least a dozen times cooler than that of Halo(which sorta ruins any chance it had at a multiplayer but oh well). Even Master Chief wishes he could turn into a tiny ball and roll around. My personal favorite is the Screw Attack, which has it's own website named after it, and completely owns everything it touches(except in Prime 3 where Dark Samus owns it). To me, after 5 games of the same old rocket launcher, it's time to move on.

Interesting Antagonists: Oddly enough, for all of the awesome allies you get in Halo, you never really get a great antagonist. Gravemind was kinda pathetic to me, especially his speech to Chief and Arbiter in Halo 2(as one reviewer wrote: "I was rolling my eyeballs so hard I got motion sickness from seeing the inside of my skull). Metroid has had dozens of awesome enemies, from Ridley, to Dark Samus, to Mother Brain, etc. etc.

So there. There's proof neither game is perfect, but really good at the same time. One thing I think they are both roughly equal in is music, although Halo still has yet to have a Metal band.

T'was the night before Christmas, and all through the house
No one was stirring, save a Piraka in a red blouse
Oversized socks were hung by the chimeny with disregard
Hoping that maybe Santa Claus would notice them over his lard
The Bionicles were nestled all snug in their beds
With dreams of heat seeking missiles playing in their heads(cuz dreams don't dance)
When Tahu and Tahu Nuva tried to go to bed
Before the crazy morning that they both dread(ed)
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter
Tahu jumped from his bed to see what was the matter
Away to the door he ran to fast
And took down solid oak with a huge fire blast
Smashed through the remains and yelled, "WHO'S THERE?!?"
    "IF YOU'RE A ROBBER, RUN LIKE A HARE!!!"(rabbit)

The moon was dim, so Tahu couldn't see(very well)
But he made out a figure that looked like a bee
And then he saw a sleigh with an electric blanket and a generator
And attached to the front, eight giant alligator(s)
With a driver as large as that
There was no doubt in Tahu's mind over who could be that fat
It was Santa! He had finally come
And hopefully brought Tahu a giant drum
And then he called his alligators, he knew them by name:
"Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob, and Jane"
"Now off!! Off to the rooftop we go!!
Then I'll put the toys down the chimney so nobody knows"
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky,
So up to the house-top the gators flew,
With the sleigh full of toys, and a fat man too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The growling and pawing of each giant hoof.
As Tahi drew in his head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney Santa came with a bound
When Tahu saw him out of the corner of his eye,
He yelled, "STOP!!! THERE'S A FIRE INSIDE!!!"
But Santa was so fat, and very overweight
He couldn't stop his jump, it was already too late
Down the chimney he fell, and fell

In other news, Ask Cookies(and Christmas) will be up sometime....and by sometime I mean when people start reviewing Aftermath again...don't feel like posting a comedy that no one's gonna read.

    Wow. That was quick.

Apparently more info on "Another Side Story" has been released. That's the good news. The bad news? I can't freaking copy it and paste it on Babelfish to translate, so for the time being I know as much about the game as I did last year...absolutely nothing(except you play as Space Pirates jajaja). Anyways hopeful for the game, as long as Space Pirate's armor doesn't dissolve every time they get upset.

Great job Chozo...giving a suit...that depends on the wearer being emotionally stable...to a woman.

Late as heck. But still awesome. Vote what you think is the BEST game for 2008. The winner automatically gets a spot in the field of 33 for the title of best game of the decade, the ones who don't win hope they get an at large bid. 10 winners for the year, 23 at larges. These 7 games have so far clinched a spot in the tournament by winning the MT sponsored BGOTY so far.

I didn't put GTA because I am thoroughly disgusted with what they do in that game. Just a side note.

Sports games such as Madden and NBA Live, or games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band were left out because they're really not anything new, although you could argue that Rock Band made a huge advancement with the addition of singing and drumming.

2000: The Sims(PC)(Ok, so this sucked, but there had to be a winner)
    Probably In: No one
    On the Fence: Perfect Dark

    2001: Halo(X-Box)
Probably In: Metal Gears Solid 2
On the Fence: Black and White

    2002: Metroid Prime(Gamecube)
    Probably In: Neverwinter Nights
    On the Fence: Metroid Fusion

2003: Call of Duty(More than one Platform)
Probably In: Legend of Zelda: Windwaker, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
On the Fence: Beyond Good and Evil

    2004: Halo 2(X-Box)
Probably In: Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Doom 3
    On the Fence: Half-Life 2

Probably In: Battlefield 2, God of War

On the Fence: Mass Effect, Lost Planet: Critical Condition

I kind of think 2008 left something to be desired, especially after the "best year ever for video games" in 2007. But here is the bracket anyway. (I forget if MGS 4 was in 08 or 07, it doesn't matter now anyway. It's in this bracket)

If only Halo Wars had come out in 2008 instead of 2009. But, hey, we probably have a #1 seed for 2009 there. (Assuming Bioshock 2 doesn't come out soon)

Here is the bracket for 2008:
(1)Super Smash Bros. Brawl vs. (8)Persona 4(Yeah, this year did suck)
    (2)Bioshock vs. (7)Little Big Planet
(3)Metal Gears Solid 4 vs. (6)World of Goo
    (4)Fallout 3 vs. (5)Left For Dead

As you can see, we're all hoping the people at Bungie and Retro Studio get off vacation REALLY soon. But yeah, go ahead and vote. The top 4 seeds all get my vote. Left For Dead is the only underdog that should even get a chance at an upset. After #5...the games pretty much all suck.

It was pretty hard to choose between Bioshock, SSBB, and MGS4 for the top spot, but in the end I really think that SSBB is the most fun, and Bioshock is just a little better than MGS4(which is pretty much the only good game for the PS3). Anyway, the next round will most likely be SSBB vs. Fallout3/Left for Dead, and Bioshock vs. MGS 4, unless you all have a way different view of games than I do.

You still get do decide. Vote now!

Score so far: (1st round ends Friday)
    SSBB: 1, Persona 4: 0
    Bioshock: 1, LBP: 0
    MGS4: 1, WoG: 0
    Fallout 3: 1, LfD: 0

Well, I was going to post this yesterday, but Yami was having a field day with the BZP server. Anyways, RPG design is ongoing, but it mostly consists of just writing the actual thing now. Thanks to everyone who helped.

Anyways, we're(I'm) bored. Any suggestions on what do do?

Well, since all the games for this year are out, it's time for me to hand out my less than prestiged awards for video games of the decade. Here we go, starting with the character awards:

    CHARACTER AWARDS:

Best Hero: Master Chief(Halo): Halo did a really nice job I think of connecting you with the characters in their games, while big Nintendo franchises such as Metroid and Zelda didn't as much. Modern Warfare did a nice job of it with Price, but Master Chief edges Price out because of just how cool he is.

Runner ups: Samus Aran(Metroid Prime), Price(MW), Solid Snanke(MGS)

Best Villain: Wesker(Resident Evil): It's one thing to fight a viral outbreak alongside teammates; it's another thing entirely to completely abandon them when they need you most. I remember getting so ticked at this guy towards the end of RE: 5, but hey, I guess that's what makes the definition of a good villian.

Runner ups: Ninetails(Okami), Dark Samus(Metroid Prime 2 & 3), Grunts(Halo) and the Nazis, which are in about half the games made today

Best Sidekick: Issun(Okami): Maybe this guy was a bit of a sicko, but he never left your side(until the end of the game) and he did the talking for you.(literally, because Amaterasu can't talk) Plus he ends up saving Amaterasu at the end in probably the best game ending I've ever seen.

Runner ups: Cortana(Halo), HK-47(KotoR), Yoshi(Mario, hey, look, Mario actually did get an award. Well, sorta)

WORST video game character: Tails(Sonic): Ok, maybe there haven't been many Sonic games this decade, but come on, this was just pitiful. I really doubt anyone ever cared about him at all.

    IN GAME AWARDS:

Best Story: CoD 4: Modern Warfare: Way to take a step away from the land of Nazis, Infinity Wad. I liked this story for two reasons: A, it's very plausible, and B, I really liked the idea of countries uniting in an all out attempt to stop an evil group. Just sounds cool.

Runner ups: Halo 3: ODST, Metroid Prime, Borderlands

Best Ending: Okami: Epic ending is epic. Yami steals Amaterasu's powers, only for them to be regained when Issun(your sidekick that left you earlier) restores them all in one giant effort by all the people in the land. And then you become like 50 times more powerful and own Yami.

Runner ups: Halo 3, Modern Warfare 2

Most Confusing Plotline: Assassin's Creed 2: Weird time travel, and then figuring out your like a prophet, and then what? Really confusing. I had to actually look it up online to find out what the heck was going on. It was a good game, but never the less, still confusing.

Best Boss Fight: Colossi(Shadow of the Colossus): Yeah, could this guy get a bit bigger please? Colossi has to be the biggest boss fight I've ever faced, scary as heck, and yet...it was surprisingly fun. I don't know. One of those things you have to experience for yourself.

Runner ups: "The Boss"(MGS3), Ganon(Ocarina of Time), Yami(Okami)

Best subplot: The Arbiter becoming a good guy(Halo 2): Epic, epic, more epic, AND you get to play as him in the game as well. Plus the fight with "Mr. Jetpack" was amazing.

Now it's time for the awards for the video games themselves:

    OVERALL AWARDS:

Most Fun Video Game: Assassin's Creed 2: Maybe it's just me, but climbing onto roofs and knocking guards off never gets old. The game is also extremely "diverse," meaning there are just so many different things you do during the game, boss fights, stalking people, and jumping off of 50 foot high towers into hay bales.

Runner ups: Little Big Planet, SSBB

Hardest Video Game: Metroid Prime 2: According to Retro Studios, this was intended to be the hardest of the Prime series, and indeed it was. Especially on hard mode. Of course, nothing matches Halo 3 on Mythic, but that requires a lot of extra work to get to that status.

Runner ups: ...do we have any? I don't think there were that many hard games this decade.

Easiest Video Game: Modern Warfare 2: Gee, why don't you just give the invincibility cheat to everyone? You might as well. The game is ridiculous easy. I beat it on Veteran in about an hour and thirty minutes, and some claim to have been able to do it in under an hour.

Runner ups: Halo 3: ODST, Super Mario Galaxy

Overrated Game of the Decade: Super Mario Galaxy: I'll never figure out WHY it was rated so dang high. It was pretty darn bad in my opinion, and once you figured out what to do in a boss fight, you never did anything different. The corny plotline and fact that there's a giant whirlpool right below you almost everywhere you go didn't exactly help SMG's standing.

Runner ups: Madworld. Madworld. And Madworld again.

Game with most potential: Borderlands: The thing that got this game was it's repetitiveness. Go find this, then fight the bad guy. As fun as it was, the same thing over and over again got a little tiresome. When the sequel comes out, though(they've already announced there will be one) I expect great things.

Worst Game of the Decade: The Rogue Warrior. I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT GET IT AWAY FROM ME. Gamespot rated this a 1.5 out of 10, which was probably too high IMO. So freaking repetitive....blargh....

    And now it's time for...

THE BEST GAME OF THE DECADE:

(prepare to call me a homer)

OKAMI: Before you call me out on this, how many of you have actually played this game?

That's what I thought. The storyline is so unique, and they found a way to perfectly bring together a great idea and Japanese culture into one big great mass of awesomeness. The boss battles are great, the places are probably some of the most memorable you'll ever see in a video game, and the ending is breath-taking. Who would've ever thought that Capcom could make a game this good?

Runner ups: Metroid Prime, Halo 2, Modern Warfare

Well, I decided to (sorta) keep a record of what I do in the new Metroid that I've been playing. I'll probably update this weekly, since I'm busy during most weekdays. I may even do this for Reach too, depending on how well this goes.

    Day 1:

Saw the opening cutscene for the 10 millionth time. Passed the test stage with little difficulty(and yes, I am just going to sit there when something grabs me, as I have no good counterattack moves yet). More cutscenes and landing aboard the "Bottle Ship." Reminds me of the ruined GFS Valhalla from Prime 3.

Found some GF Troopers after a short walk. After showing up Adam Malkovich with a missile to the door, I followed the troopers deeper into the big space ship/station thingy, where I got my first death courtesy of a giant purple monster composed of a bunch of tiny beetles. Eventually figured out where to go, although I'm really not liking this "dodge in 1st person" stuff.

Killed the boss after that and proceeded to Biosphere after getting an energy tank and some missiles. Found a couple things, the most interesting being a weird bunny that showed up twice. Eventually ran into a stupid worm thing that tossed bombs and got my 3rd death of the game(the other two coming from the purple monster). Killed it soon after though and proceeded to beat a stick monster into the ground.

    Day 2:

Eventually made my way to some weird building thing for a meeting with the troopers. Lyle, my favorite anger management issue person was "late," though it was pretty easy to tell from the voice acting that he wasn't going to show up again--alive, at least. Found some weird space pirate drone things, and then the purple monster that I posted in a blog entry before showed up.

Samus rushed outside in her usual cutscene not giving a thought to what bad things could happen way, and got sat on by the purple monster("This is what I do: I sit on you"). Missile'd it's tail until I got saved by Anthony, another GF trooper, and his plasma rail gun thingy. Found Lyle dead and the cocoon of the bunny thingy there(velociraptor evolves from bunny?) Went to sector 3 then, hoping to find the purple monster. Didn't find it, though I found death: and lots of it. Got eaten by a shrimp thingy that lived in the lava multiple time, and then space pirates killed me even more. Eventually got my ice beam back and killed them all('bout time). Found my way into a volcano where I met a giant lava dragon thingy. Killed it and continued to sector 2 with my Varia suit. Got lost in ice, found speed booster, got lost again, found my way out, heading towards "survivors" supposedly.

Day 3: (Major spoilers from here on out)

Found Maurice frozen to death in the middle of a snowbank. Samus saw someone see her, and after another 5 or so minutes of searching, I saw the person who saw me(confusing I know). Ran inside the building, met her briefly(more like her running away from me), where she explained that the GF wanted anyone who knew about their bioweapon stuff dead, and that Maurice had been killed by a GF Trooper who was apparently doubling as an assassin. The conversation got interrupted by a giant bulldozer thing, being driven by whoever the traitor was, which I took down pretty easily(no deaths this time). Sadly, the woman got away, so I assume that, like everyone else, she'll be dead next time I meet her.

After being annoyed by an avalanche and a weird thing with elephant tusks and getting the wave beam, I went searching through the Pyrosphere for the big purple monster. Found a few expansions and then got ambushed by a giant lava shrimp/fish thingy. It got beaten pretty quickly as well(no deaths again). Starting to get the hang of this boss fighting here. Eventually found Anthony(the black dude with the insanely cool rail gun) getting his butt handed to him by the creature, so I got my grapple beam back and helped him again in the process. More flashbacks and stuff(Adam had a little brother?), and then finding my way through a bunch of complicated parts that I can't remember very well where I finally got to kill the stupid flying thing with elephant tusks. Got told to go kill the big purple monster, and found it's molted shell on the wall...bad sign is bad. A few more rooms, an energy tank, and an accel charge later, and I found Anthony trying to take something down with his plasma rail gun. After getting super missiles back and hitting the lava switch...(lava switch? really?), Ridley came out and made his grand appearance, confirming my earlier theory. Samus was an absolute wuss and pretty much got Anthony(NO NOT THE MBD) killed. Samus finally decided that SHOOTING the big purple dragon just might be a good idea, and after getting plasma beam authorized, the epic battle of epicness(with some awesomesauce music) started.

All in all, the battle was pretty successful. I only died twice(yes, success in this game is measured not by how much you live, but how many times you don't die), and that's pretty impressive when you consider I never used a missile/super missile, overblast, or lethal strike. Ridley's god-Moderator mode annoyed the heck out of me, but eventually I killed him. Well, killed him for 5 seconds. Then he got back up and ran away.

So now I'm trying to find the traitor in the biosphere. Not 100% sure why he would be here, but it was the only door open so yeah. Thus ends day 3 and probably week 1 of Other M.

Most of you TBTTRAH readers know that each year we have a tournament to decide the best fighter in TBTTAH. This year I'm expanding a little to include everyone in TBTTRAH and Boxtus Arena. Most of the fighting preliminaries, including all the GS's, will be held in Boxtus.

So far, the past two Final Fours have been....
    2007:
Semifinal #1: Mr. Matoro def. Sonu
    Semifinal #2: Inikalord def. Brenmac
Super Battle 1: Mr. Matoro def. Inikalord

    2008:
Semifinal #1: Omega Turtle def. Mr. Matoro
    Semifinal #2: Levacius def. Hovoki
Super Battle 2: Omega Turtle def. Levacius

There are 64 spots in this year's tournament split into 4 regionals (like numbers 1 and 2). Each regional has 16 seeds, 1 being the highest and 16 the lowest, meaning there is a total of 4 #1 seeds, 4 #2 seeds, and so on. The 1's fight against the 16's, 2's against the 15's, 3, against the 14's, and you can figure out the rest by that pattern.

To qualify, you need to win enough preliminaries to get you in to the tournament. How many is that? You can never be sure. There are a total of 13 spots reserved for BZP users, 13 for Toa, 6 for Makuta, and I don't feel like listing the rest. But yeah. You've got 13 chances to get in.

Tell me if you want a spot in this incredibly complicated bracket thingy and I'll put you in the standings.

    Regions so far:

    North:
    Mr. Matoro
    Mesonak
    Levacius
    Dakama

    East:
    Sonu
    Brenmac
    Rakshiking(Now Gorgnak)
    Frostbreeze

    South:
    Omega Turtle
    Sonicwind
    5 Mask
    Hovoki

    West:
    Tarakavaseargent
    Burningair
(2 spots remain in this regional. I'll add more regionals if necessary)

    Matchups: Week 1
    Levacius vs. Mesonak(Part 2?)
    Mr. Matoro vs. Dakama
    Sonu vs. Frostbreeze
    Brenmac vs. Rakshiking
    Omega Turtle vs. Hovoki
    5 Mask vs. Sonicwind
    Tarakavaseargent vs. Burningair
    TBD vs. TBD
    TBD vs. TBD

Well, Assassin has apparently gone AFK forever. So we need a replacement. This time around though, we'll have several candidates on the table...here's our lineup...

HBBG(been affiliated with the Zehvor for several months, close friend of mine)
Var(leader of the Toa Rojos, tried and failed to get in the Zehvor earlier)
Shadrahk(tried to fake being in the Zehvor once and got caught)
Mr. Matoro(if you don't know this guy and you're a Zehvor, you may need to have your brain checked by a professional)
Kahnoa(semi-affiliated with the Zehvor for a while, also a friend)
Glatorian Jaller(cause he's also on the ballot and a friend who asked nicely)

So there are your 5 options. Vote now for the new Zehvor.

This pretty much sums up my feelings on it.

    and this....

Anyways, now that the U.S. is gone from the World Cup, soccer fever is officially gone here. To the U.S, I say good luck in 2014, and please, please, stay away from Ghana.

I think this is proof that God really does have lots of fun toying with us. Maybe "toy" isn't the right word, but you can decide what the word should be for yourself after you take a look at these images.

This is Earth. No, not the really big bright yellow, orange, and red thing. It's the tiny blue dot. Compared to the sun. Turns out the Earth really isn't that big. But it gets worse.

That's our galaxy. The Milky Way Galaxy. Where are we on the map? Not at the center. We're inbetween one of the bands at the bottom. To put this into context, take a quarter, and compare it to the continent of North America(The whole continent). The quarter is the size of the sun compared to our Galaxy. And our galaxy is just one of millions of galaxies in the universe.

    Feel small yet?

Take a look at the Whirlpool Galaxy.

It is one of the most amazing galaxies in the universe. But what's even more amazing is the black hole in the center. The Hubble Space Telescope, which, by the way, your parents are paying for, took this picture of the center of it.

One of the most common scientist beliefs is that the universe contains life outside of the kind found on planet Earth, because the universe is far too large a habitat for just us. I agree. But it's my belief that the universe is meant to be so much more than just a habitat for us. It's creation on display.

    Just some thoughts.

We have a new member in the Zehvor now, replacing Gorgnak who is looking like he won't be coming back. Makuta of Comedy will fill the hole. MoC is extremely talented in comic making, writing, and mocing, and holds numerous positions in OTS.

That being said, here's the update of the Zehvor.

    MT(leader)
    Sonu(deputy)
    Tarakavarbiter
    Dakama
    Assassin
    Levacius
    Brenmac
    Burnmad
    MoC(the new person)

Now we can move onto FINALLY furthering OTS. Right now I'm planning to write some sort of either epic or comedy that would require at least 2 co-authors. If you're interested post here.

It's snowing once again here. I don't think we've had this much snow in one year the entire time I've lived here(10+ years now). So yay for snow.

Then again, it would snow during winter break, the one time I don't have school on a weekday.

"You know, come to think of it, the island of Mata Nui Sophomore year wasn't really that bad after all. Think we could go back?"
    -Lewa

Anyways this year has sucked and I still have like 9 months to go.

    As Lamp would say..."Yippee!"

Chapters have been up reeeaaalllllyyyyyy slowly because of it. Not liking this amount of homework...reminiscent of the times when Mr. Matoro had the same problem.

On the other hand, it is making the deadline for the Ihr contest going to happen before Ihr dies disappears mysteriously.

    So yeah. I'm mad.

    "u mad?"

After seeing what's going on in TBTTRAH Mafia 4, I decided to go back to the drawing board and change things around. Here are the roles for TBTTRAHM5:

    Mafia(5)
    Brotherhood(3)
    SK(1)
    Snitch(1)
    Anti-Snitch(1)
    Detective(1)
    Villagers(8)

There is no doctor. In his place is the invincibility powerup. The invincibility powerup is randomly given to a player at the start of the game, and is passed around from there, either by the holder dying or using it. Powerups will become more common in later games.

The invincibility powerup gives someone the power to remain invincible to dying from anything. Examples below:

Example A: Player 1 believes he is going to be Mafia'd. He activates the powerup for that round and saves himself from dying. I randomly draw names out of a hat and the powerup goes to someone else.

Example B: Player 1 believes Player 2 is going to be Mafia'd. He activates the powerup FOR player 2. Player 2 gets saved and the powerup goes back.

Example C: Player 1 either is in a trial or has a friend in a trial, and they are definitely going to be convicted. He can save that player from death as long as he activates it before the player is executed.

The Powerups are extremely useful, if you know when to play them.
