Neon was the worst power in the game, IMO. At least it got fixed in First Light, which is good. Because otherwise First Light would've sucked. Anyways, my backlog is a mess of all sorts of JRPGS, about half the Uncharted series, Metal Gear Solid 4, a few Zelda games, and anything on my 360 because I'm constantly forgetting I own that. I'd love to spend some time actually getting through it, but now I'm spending most of my gaming time in Final Fantasy XIV, because I've found out that MMOs are way more fun (and grindy) then I'd have thought a year ago.

STAY THE #!%* AWAY FROM THE UBW MOVIE AT ALL COSTS. Especially since it's already been replaced by the new UBW series, which is way infinitely better than the movie and a lot better than the first TV series. Anyways, order: it's generally flexible, I went Zero-F/SN-UBW, although going in the order they came out (F/SN-Zero-UBW) would probably be pretty good too, as UBW flows pretty well as a sequel to Zero and F/SN finished airing long before Zero happened. F/SN and UBW are both alternate versions of the same story (two of the three routes in the original VN), and go in drastically different directions after a few episodes, but they both add to different parts of the Fate universe so I do recommend you watch both. Fate/kaleid is a silly magical girl spinoff with no real connection to main Fate other than the characters. I enjoy it, and it's definitely worth trying if you like the Fate series. Anyways, it turns out Shimoneta is way more messed up than I was expecting and possibly extremely mentally scarring. I don't know what to think of it anymore but I guess I kinda still enjoy it. But it also kinda makes me want to give up on anime.

SS was pretty great, IMO. I never did like Delsin as much as Cole, but the improved gameplay and multiple powers more than made up for it. And yeah, the game does look really good. In other things, the first Dead or Alive festival happened this morning, the big thing was the tournament, which was pretty cool, and made me wonder why the general fighting game community doesn't really take the game seriously (I mean, there have been 3 releases of DOA5, and none of them have made it to EVO). ... And then it hit me, as the "big announcement" at the end of the event was for more swimsuit DLC, a new stage called Fireworks, and a new character who at this point I'm just gonna assume will be female. Plus, DOA Extreme Beach Volleyball 3 is apparently in development now, so... Yeah. I can see why people wouldn't see a serious fighter if the can't look past all this.

Grats. I was playing Smash 3DS with one of my friends at work a little while ago, and we compared progress. I only needed one more thing from one of the panels, and he suggested that I use a hammer. I looked at him like he was insane and said "what's wrong with you?" I then went and finished that panel within a half hour.

TBH Destiny feels nothing like an MMO to me, I've only ever encountered a couple of people outside of the hub, and there's no real in-game way of communicating with other players. It pretty much feels like a solo FPS-RPG hybrid with a required online connection. I'd like to do PVP between campaign stuff, but the fact that my level 10 character can't compete with most of the other high level players kinda pushes me away. Anyways, I managed to get that Amazon-exclusive Palutena amiibo, my second retailer-exclusive one (first was Shulk). Turns out they lasted on Amazon for over an hour, which was a bit longer than I was expecting. Now I'm debating wether or not to take it out of the box since these exclusive amiibos seem to be so popular (plus, I just like how it looks in the box).

I just got Bloodborne earlier today, enjoying it so far. Combat is going to take a bit of getting used to, but everything else about it seems pretty cool.

Today is a sad day. He wasn't just a huge part of Nintendo, but he was also pretty young at only 55. Now I'm just wondering who the next President will be...

Well, I've started everything I was planning on watching this season, except Prisma Illya, but that doesn't start for a while. Doesn't change stuff too much, but here: 1. Shimoneta 2. Gangsta 3. Charlotte 4. Non Non Biyori Repeat 5. Prison School 6. DRRR!! 7. Actually, I Am 8. Nagato Yuki-Chan 9. My Wife is the Student Council President 10. Monster Musume 11. Miss Monochrome 2 12. Bikini Warriors I'm not really sure what I was expecting from Bikini Warriors (a few of my friends and I are all Queen's Blade fans, so we were probably hoping for something like that), but this this doesn't even come close, I'm not even sure if there are supposed to be any characters, the dialogue and plot (if you can call the things in the first episode that) were just awful, and I'm pretty sure this show just kills brain cells. On the good side, Gangsta was pretty fun. It has a neat setting and some cool characters, and the action scenes were also pretty good. Definitely gonna be keeping an eye on this. Prison School adapted the beginning of the manga pretty well. The transition of the characters from manga to anime looks pretty nice, and it does a good job at keeping Hiramoto's style. I think this one will turn out pretty good.

Well, I've started quite a few things this season. It's looking to be one of the biggest seasons for me, once everything gets started I'll be watching 13 shows. So far, what I've watched is looking like this: 1. Shimoneta 2. Charlotte 3. Non Non Biyori Repeat 4. DRRR!! 5. Actually, I Am 6. Nagato Yuki-Chan 7. My Wife is the Student Council President 8. Monster Musume 9. Miss Monochrome 2 Shimoneta was hilarious. The premise is pretty silly and kinda bizarre (I'm pretty sure an entire high school full of students with extremely pure minds is just impossible), and it really worked for me. Charlotte was pretty cool, I really liked that Yu is pretty much just a horrible scheming jerk with a really specific superpower that makes him even more of a horrible scheming jerk (especially shown in his plan to get the girl he wants), and overall he's kinda refreshing main character. Non Non Biyori was pretty much more of the same from the first season, this week we got a look at what happened just before the first season started, plus a lot of Ren-chon. Which is always good. DRRR!! is still DRRR!!. Which means kinda slow, but still interesting. Mostly this week was dealing with the fallout of the last episode, but it's already looking like stuff is gonna get interesting soon. Actually, I Am was decent, might turn out to be a good rom-com. Asashi and Yoko are an interesting pair, with the one who can't possibly keep a secret going after the most secretive girl in the school, but Asahi's friends seem to be a more generic bunch. Monster Musume was better than I expected, however I don't expect that to last as I couldn't stand the manga after 20 or so chapters. Probably the fact that there's still only one girl at the moment is what it had going for it this episode.

Code Name Steam also had the disadvantage of being kinda in the JRPG/SRPG niche, while Splatoon is Nintendo's family-friendly take on the more mainstream shooter genre. Plus they pushed Splatoon a good deal more, especially with the thing before launch where you could play it at certain times and they were making a big deal of it everywhere (okay, mainly a few emails, social media posts, and the startup screen on my Wii U), while the launch of Code Name Steam kinda passed by without me even realizing it. Might give the CNS demo a try sometime, not sure wether I'd like it from reviews and such, kinda on the fence as of now.

Well, I finally finished everything I was following from The Spring season. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't really memorable, with a couple exceptions. Anyways... 1. Fate/stay night UBW 2. DanMachi 3. Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches 4. The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-Chan 5. I Can't Understand What my Husband is Saying 2 6. Nisekoi: 7. Seraph of the End 8. Triage X 9. Ninja Slayer Fate was generally pretty good throughout, but the final battle between Shirou and Gilgamesh was just great and easily my favorite battle of the year so far. Also, that epilogue was pretty good, great to finally see Luvia in main Fate and MORE WAVER VELVET!!! That episode just really made me want a Hollow Ataraxia anime. Which I REALLY hope they do after Heaven's Feel. DanMachi ended up really growing on me over it's run. Wasn't really expecting much after reading the kinda meh first novel, but it ended up fixing some of the problems I had with if, and the world and characters ended up turning out much better than I was expecting. Overall, it was a pretty good series, and I'm looking forward to the English releases of the rest of the novels and a (hopeful) eventual second season. Yamada-Kun's last few episodes felt kinda rushed compared to the manga, but that's par for the course here. It stayed generally good and funny, and it ended at a good spot so it feels complete even though there's a lot more source material. I wouldn't mind another season of this, but since the character list pretty much triples in the next arc, it would need to spend a lot more time on it's characters. Which would be hard, especially since pretty much everyone, including the new characters, gets sidelined to a minor character role. Nagato Yuki-Chan had been in drama mode for the last few episodes of the season, which was by no means a bad thing, but it ended up being such a good more serious show, it's gonna be a bit different when it goes back to being a comedy this week. Still, looking forward to the 3 or so episodes in the summer season. I literally feel like I can't say anything about Husband I haven't already said. It's generally innocent, funny, and it feels like we've gotten nowhere since last season (although getting anywhere isn't really a big part of this show). Looking forward to season 3. Nisekoi is spinning it's wheels. And it will continue to do do until the last girl is introduced. And then it will be spinning it's wheels again. And then there will be some big development. But, surprise! It's not really any development at all, it's still just spinning it's wheels. At least time is progressing in the series, and I do hope something happens when they become Third-Years. But until then, we just get a series that's spinning it's wheels. (Although that's not to say I don't like it. It's funny and has pretty good characters.) Seraph... I don't know. Pretty meh, it was kinda decent at remembering what was happening in the beginning of the manga. Because when you're following a monthly manga series that moves kinda slow, it gets kinda hard to remember what happened three chapters ago. Or two. Or one. Gonna watch the next season because I could use a refresher on more of the manga. And I gave my opinions on Triage earlier right after it ended and dropped Ninja Slayer, so yeah. I've, started a couple of short series for the summer season, Miss Monochrome 2 and My Wife is the Student Council President. Miss Monochrome is more kinda meh comedy that I'm not even sure why I'm watching after the entire first season, and My Wife is the Student Council President looks like it's gonna be a pretty funny raunchy comedy. Off to a kinda halfway decent start. And I recently got the first (2-in-1) volume of Freezing, really glad to finally have that in English. Also glad that they are 2-in-1 volumes, as this means the entire first arc (pretty much the first anime season) will be out by the end of the year, and if they continue releasing at the same rate, the second season will be covered by the end of next year. I'm also getting the first volume of Non Non Biyori next week, might get a few other things, probably the next SAO Progressive novel and I might try the first volume of Evergreen.

Well, Driveclub PS+ Edition came out last week. And after putting in a few solid hours of getting last place, I've been reminded that I suck at racing games that aren't Mario Kart or Asphalt. Might try and put some more time into figuring it out, but I dunno. Lack of splitscreen kinda makes me not care. Why do so many games have to be dropping splitscreen support?

I'm not really a fan of the bigger screen, mainly because of lower PPI. It's noticible enough, and I prefer my games looking crisper rather than bigger (which is why I never touch my DSi XL anymore, DS games at original resolution look so nice on 3DS). Also, I just carry my 3DS everywhere (because StreetPass and Play Coins), and that already takes up enough space in my pockets. I don't think I could handle the XL.

Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward Snuck in about an hour before I had to leave for work, and I managed to become my Free Company's first Dark Knight. Pretty excited to see where the new story goes, been extremely excited for Heavensward since the last story patch of A Realm Reborn came out.

Well, I got Deus Ex: Human Revolution today. Enjoying it so far, it kinda feels like Metal Gear, which is neat, I do like how you can choose how you want to play, I'm going the stealthy route and completely avoiding enemies. Overall I think I might like this one, once I get the controls down.

Really really big things for me: FF7 Remake, Kingdom Hearts 3, Last Guardian Big things: Starfox, Uncharted, Metal Gear Solid 5, Fire Emblem games Cool stuff: Mario Maker, HoloLens, Deus Ex Unsure stuff: Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, World of Final Fantasy Meh stuff: Zelda Triforce, Mario Tennis, pretty much everything else from Nintendo. Bad stuff: anything involving Square Enix's mobile games. Failure: Metroid Prime Federation. Seriously Nintendo, what the **** were you thinking that would possibly ever make this a good idea? Basically my impressions of E3. I'm hoping that viewer reaction to Metroid causes Nintendo to unannounce it and announce a real Metroid (last I checked, the official trailer on YouTube had about 1.5K likes and over 16K dislikes), if they go through with this Metroid fans are gonna call Other M a fantastic game. Also, the one non-Japanese thing from Square Enix that really interested me was Deus Ex. Don't know much about the series, but I liked the trailer. Ended up ordering Human Revolution on 360 from Amazon for about $15 from Amazon to give the series a try.

That Nier game co-developed by Platinum sounds pretty cool. I also loved the Kingdom hearts reveals, everyone was getting excited at the start, then it turned out to be the mobile game, and it seemed like people stopped caring. Then they showed KH3 gameplay (which looks pretty cool), and then people got hyped. I'm also liking Sora's new outfit.

And Metroid Prime Federation Force confirmed. I... Really don't know how to feel about this. I'd prefer a real Metroid game. Also FE:if is FE: Fates and Chrom is confirmed for SMTxFE. And Xenoblade X is slated for December 4. A Paper Mario/Mario & Luigi crossover? I... REALLY have no clue how to feel about this...

And Starfox Zero is the first thing Nintendo shows. Complete with Transforming Arwings. And puppets. If there's any reason to watch Nintendo's E3 stuff besides the games, it's the humor.

Shenmue 3h e n m u e 3 I think tonight Sony made hopes and dreams come alive, at this rate Gaben is going to show up at the PC showcase to show off the various 3's Valve has finally figured out how to count to. I'm hoping we get FFV and FFVI remakes too. Honestly would be a lot more excited for those than FFVIIIPS4. Shenmue isn't something something I'm personally interested in, but I know quite a few people who have been wanting it for years. But yeah, that's another one of those games. Also, I'd also love a VI remake, and while I did like VII better, VI is still one of my favorites. I'm also really hopeful for an eventual XII HD version, considering how well they seem to have done with X/X-2. This year Sony just took some the the things hype has been building up for years for, and just threw them down on the table, making this really one of the best E3's in history for PS fans. I really don't know if I need to see any more E3 after last night...

That Minecraft HoloLens demo was pretty sweet. I wonder how much fakery went into that, but if the holograms on the table are what it actually ends up like... I might actually start to care about Minecraft. Of course that tech would be really cool for all sorts of other games, especially top-down games.

Really? I must have thought articles about those leaks were just related to the hints in the data that suggested Roy/Ryu would be coming from a while back. I'm interested in seeing how Ryu's Street Fighter inputs will work, so he might be the first one I get. Or Roy, since I main him in Melee.
