The race originated from a Makuta experiment. Attempting to transfer a Kraata's power into the armor of an already living being, the Nui-Phryno only attained a small amount of an individual Kraata's power. The Makuta especially tried to infuse illusion properties into the rahi, not only giving them limited illusion power, but the ruthless passion of a Rahkshi. This can explain how Matoran don't recognize the creatures for the danger it really is. The Phrynos' favorite illusion is that of friends or close ties to its victim, which it stalks for periods of time before striking. It is unknown how many have perished from these rejected experiments, or how many creatures may still be living amongst us. Now I'm curious to see what Ary puts out. Good luck to everyone!

I'm glad you finally got Bitil! Too bad I beat you to him. Bitil actually has a mask power that is easily acted out by the set, unlike truth and time and all those other funky powers... (I don't count water breathing. ) Ugh, packing. The worst part of going or coming anywhere. Need I say more.

Wow, I got a 1st! And to think I was just going to go without putting the Antroz wings on... Thanks for your insightful input, Bones. I didn't know such a little MOC could have gotten such a big review! A big congrats to BtB for the other first. I'm glad to see the wonderfully built MOC made it to the top, along with all the other great builds. It has a powerful build and can wipe a Toa clear off their feet with a blow of its clawed hand. The Lava Ape also has been known to leap onto the air or out of a tree and slam into the ground, causing a small quake in the immediate area. As its name implies, the ape has a dependency on heat to sustain its power. Because of this fact, the only known and effective way of warding off a Lava Ape attack is to fight back with ice. Category: [New MOC] Beast Name: Nui-Chiropt Topic: Click Here Description: He is a type of bat found in Onu-Wahi tunnels known as the Nui-Chiropt. (For those of you who don't know, Chiroptera is the name for the bat family.) This guy is feared by many Matoran who work in the tunnels, and with good reason. Nui-Chiropts have been known to grow to such size that they can swoop, grab two Matoran by their masks, and carry them away into the dark recesses of the tunnels. Fortunately, they can be scared off by the waving of a single lightstone. This guy also has a face only his mother could love.
