IC: Riversong (Ko-Koro)The Toa of Water jumped back, startled, then realized that it was just Krayzikk. "It's fine," she said, feeling slightly embarrassed for being startled so easily, "People have a tendency not to notice me."
-
IC: Riversong (Ice Howl Inn)The group seemed to be slowly meandering outside, so Riversong decided that she'd better follow them. Blinking at the bright blue sky as she emerged from the building, she made her way over to where her companions were standing. Her instincts urged her to keep her distance, but Riversong moved closer anyway.I have to learn to trust these people if I want to be able to work with them, she reminded herself.

IC: Riversong (Ice Howl Inn)Riversong hadn't said a word the entire time, which was mostly due to the fact that she had no idea about how exactly a group was supposed to functon; she had never been in one before, and wasn't quite sure what to make of the newcomer. However, it pleased her to see that the others had convinced Sucogu to at least give the other Toa of Water a chance, as it wouldn't be right to just send her away.
-
IC: Riversong (Ice Howl Inn)The Toa of Water shrugged, saying, "I don't really have any "ties to the past" except for a distant cousin that I haven't seen for a long time now. Besides, I came to Ko-Koro looking for a change of pace, and it seems like I've found that in your group."

IC: Riversong (in a temporary hospital within the Ice Howl Inn)After recieving treatment for her wounds, Riversong made her way over to where Sucogu, Krayzikk, and Esao were at. They appeared to be deep in conversation, so she opted not to interrupt them, sitting down off to the side instead.
-
IC: Riversong Unsure of what to say to Esao, Riversong began to walk towards the inn, glancing over her shoulder to make sure that Krayzikk was following. She felt a faint sense of loss from Flyssa’s death, but it was difficult to truly grieve when she had never even spoken to her. However, it appeared that Flyssa and Esao had been very close, so Riversong decided to remain silent as she continued to trudge through the icy streets.

IC: Riversong (talking to Krayzikk)"My name is Riversong," she replied. "It seems that the group has split up- at least, for now-so I might as well accompany you to the hospital that the guard mentioned; kidney problems and broken bones are definitely beyond my abilities." Looking down, she noticed the long scratch from before on her right leg, frowned slightly, and sealed it.

OOC: Ugh, it lagged again...IC: Riversong (talking to Krayzikk)"It looks like the laceration on your shoulder is the worst, so let's start there." Riversong said, using her Mask of Healing to regenerate the damaged flesh layer by layer. The Toa of Water then did the same with several of the smaller cuts, hoping that the Titan didn't have any internal injuries, as she had only learned how to use the more basic functions of the mask's power.
-
IC: RiversongRiversong cringed as the Titan raged, but she slowly walked towards him anyway, making sure that he could see her approaching. She still owed him for saving her life. Besides, his wounds were deep, and it was not like Riversong to leave someone in pain. When she was near enough to be heard, she said tentatively, "Is there any way that I can help you...?"

IC: RiversongShe saw the incoming avalanche a second before it hit.Oh-Her thought was abruptly cut off as the snow slammed her off her feet, carrying her none too gently into the wall of a building several feet away. The world seemed to spin as dull pain made itself known, and so she sat there for a few long moments, stunned. As her vision righted itself, Riversong slowly stood up, snow falling away from her body in a shower of glittering white clumps. She looked around, noting that the battle between the Titan and a Toa that she didn't recognize was still going on, and there seemed to be a few other beings that had been caught in the avalanche. Taking a few unsteady steps, she did her best to move away from the fight.

OOC: (Edit) Whoa, I thought that I posted this a few minutes ago, before the fighting started...give me a moment and I'll amend it a bit.IC: Riversong (Ko-Koro hospital)Nodding at the strange red Toa, Riversong turned to the nearest burning building (which turned out to be the hospital) and began to extinuish the flames, beginning with the area where the fire had initially started. She paused for a moment, moving out of the way of the fighting, then continued, putting out as much of the fire as she could from the outside.

IC: Riversong (talking with Sucogu and others outside a hospital)Although she wasn't usually one to make snap decisions, Riversong realized that this wasn't exactly a matter that could be put off until she had thought it over completely. She said to Sucogu, "I'll join you as well."

OOC: Sorry, there was an unexpected lack of internet while I was on vacation...IC: Riversong (at a Ko-Koro hospital)At the sound of the other Toa's voice, she turned. Riversong took one look at his injuries and stifled a gasp; she couldn't recall having seen such extensive injuries in quite some time. She denied her instinctual urge to rush forward and try to help him, as she had learned the hard way in the past that some beings did not appreciate such acts. Instead, Riversong took a few cautious steps forward, addressing the other Toa."Yes?"

IC: RiversongShe was about to answer the other Toa when three more Matoran arrived, this time wielding nasty-looking medical implements. One of them, carrying a large scalpel, stalked towards her. Riversong raised her own blade just as her enemy attacked, her arms trembling from the effort of parrying the blow. She attempted to kick the Matoran in the gut, but it quickly sidestepped, leaving her off-balance. Pressing the advantage, it raked the scalpel down her leg, causing her to sharply draw in a breath. There wasn't enough time to determine how deep the cut was, but she would worry about that later when the crazed Matoran wasn't swinging the scalpel at her head. Just barely managing to duck, Riversong tried to knock it off its feet with a low sweeping kick using her other leg. This partially worked, sending the Matoran stumbling backwards. Loosing a quick jet of water into its face, she darted behind it, ready to stab it in the back. But what she saw on its neck caused her to shrink away in horror and disgust: a bloated, oversized slug of some sort that was apparently feeding on the Matoran. By sheer instinct she slashed at it, causing it to let out an unearthly shriek. The Matoran jerked once spastically, then whipped around, seeming even more furious than before. It struck over and over in what could be described as a desperate manner, driving Riversong back. She was bleeding in several places now, and as the Matoran raised the scalpel over its head...it collapsed. Limping slightly, Riversong walked over to the slug and drove her knife into it, sincerely hoping that that would kill it. As she pulled her weapon out, she glanced around, checking on the others. Seeing that neither of them appeared to be in immidiate peril, she leaned against a nearby wall for a moment.
-
IC: RiversongRiversong took several steps back, trying to stay out of the way of the more experienced newcomers. Although there didn't seem to be any more of the crazed Matoran in the immidiate vicinity, she glanced around nervously, unsure of what to do next.
-
IC: RiversongShe jumped back as a battered-looking Toa (Sucogu, although she didn't know it) was apparently slammed through a wall of the building by...a Matoran? The other Toa said something that sounded like, "Help," before the Matoran threw him back through the wall. As Riversong turned towards the entrance of the building, three more Matoran ran outside. Their eyes glowed a sickly shade of green as they charged towards her, leaving no time to think, just react. She directed a blast of water at her enemies' feet, or more accurately, at the ground, causing them to slip and fall on the slick surface. That gave Riversong just enough time to grab her knife, as the three Matoran were already back on their feet. One lunged, but missed as she sidestepped. The other two charged again, tackling her with surprising force. As a flurry of fist-blows rained down, Riversong blindly stabbed upward with the knife. There was some resistance as she felt it penatrate flesh; whether it was a fatal blow or not, she was unsure. Rolling away from her attackers, Riversong clambered to her feet, breathing heavily. The Matoran that she had stabbed was almost certainly dead, a crimson puddle already staining the snow. The remaining two didn't seem to care about the loss of their comrade at all, instead regrouping to attack again. This isn't looking good.

IC: RiversongKo-Wahi was colder than she remembered. Even in the relatively sheltered area that the Koro provided, the icy chill was surprisingly hard to escape. Making a mental note to purchase a heatstone at some point, Riversong wandered aimlessly through the streets. Stopping near what appeared to be a hospital of some sort, she considered going inside for a moment, if only to get out of the wind.

IC: RiversongSighing, the Toa of Water looked around at the walls of her hut. After all the time I've spent on this island, what have I accomplished? Nothing. Lots of nothing...perhaps it's time that I got out and did something. Taking motivation from the thought of potentially accomplishing something, Riversong packed her few possessions into a satchel. She paused for a moment to inspect a tablet engraved with a map of the island. Hmm...maybe I'll be able to find something in Ko-Koro. After all, they're all about seeking answers there. As the young Toa trudged out of Ga-Koro, she glanced back at the village that she had called home for nearly her entire time on the island, wondering if or when she would see it again.OOC: Riversong to Ko-Koro.

OOC: Reposted from page 201.IC: Riversong; (talking to Gastarad)Riversong tentatively smiled back at the other Toa."By the way," she asked, "what's your name?"
-
Wow, I really have missed a lot...although I am rather curious as to what'll happen tomorrow. Seeing as I wasn't around when these "Weaver" things were introduced, I honestly have no idea about what to expect. :lol:Oh, and Grochi, I sent you a PM. I'm not sure if you saw it or not...

IC: RiversongRiversong tentatively smiled back at the other Toa."By the way," she asked, "what's your name?"

IC: RiversongRiversong's eyes widened in shock, not only because of what Gastarad was asking her, but simply because nobody had ever asked her to be a part of, well, anything before. Once that initial surprise passed, she began to consider whether she should join this stranger or not Of course, it would be dangerous...but it wasn't like she was accomplishing anything by simply wandering through the Koro each day. This could be the answer that she sought. All of this passed through Riversong's mind in mere moments, and as she looked Gastard in the eyes she said, "Of course I'll join you. I've always wanted to strike back against the Makuta, but...I've never been sure how to go about doing it...this is just what I need."OOC: Edited because of a slight grammatical error.
-
IC: Riversong"Pick up? For what?" she asked, curiosity entering her voice as she sat down.OOC: Mixmaster is with Gastarad, right? Never mind, my computer was lagging for a moment.
-
IC: RiversongRiversong looked up in surprise as the older Toa approached her. He appeared friendly enough, but she decided to treat the situation with caution; after all, there was always a possibility that they could be a Mahiki-wearer in disguise."Oh, hello," she said politely, standing up. "Were you looking for me?"
-
IC: RiversongShe sat in a shaded area, staring out at the seemingly endless sea. The lily pad swayed beneath her gently, moving up and down with the rhythm of the waves. There were a few other beings nearby, some of whom were watching an elegant Toa swim. Although she continued to take advantage of the momentary peace, she couldn't deny that she felt a twinge of curiosity well up inside herself. Her gaze now diverted, Riversong began to watch the other beings instead.OOC: Waiting for an opportune moment to meet up with Kal Grochi's group.
