  1. There are two different shades of purple, you can barely see the difference in the yellow. But are the ones pictured white or light grey? Are they soft rubber or hard plastic? If they're hard plastic and light grey, I'd love to buy them all from you!

  2. I didn't think I was bragging, and I also don't want to come across as just looking for fame. I want a complete collection just like everyone else. I'm proud of my collection, if people ask me about it, I'm tell them about it. I don't appreciate you insulting me and saying I mistreat my collection, we're here to discuss Bionicle and the topics about it.

This particular topic is about who bionicle belongs too. I think just like Munty said, it belongs to everyone, I think the people who appreciate bionicle realize it doesn't actually belong to anyone, it's A TOY LINE! It is property of lego, I just think that if bionicle was to end that it should be remembered like it was for four years. It's a great story and I've been a die hard fan since the start, and I'm going to be as long as I can!

  3. I'm interested in this, something I've always wanted just for informative reasoning is the piece count on combo and alternate sets. I have built all of them before and they go from being weird to awesome to just hilarious. But I would love to somehow obtain piece counts for all of them. One possible alternate model I've been wanting to try to build is this:http://s565.photobucket.com/user/toyworldusa/media/Lego/Bionicle/LegoBionicleBattleofMetruNui8759B.jpg.html

  4. Real quick, without all the drama; I wouldn't have gotten any of my rare collectibles or bionicle items if I didn't care about them. I cherish bionicle because I grew up with it, it has been my dream since I was a kid to have everything I could get. I don't think you have the right to say my collection is "untouched and unloved" when you don't know me. If you don't like what I'm trying to do or what I say, that's one thing, your opinion. But insulting me because I want a complete collection just like everyone else is completely different. My idea about the gallery is there because I want to share my love for bionicle and the pieces I've acquired with anyone who cares to see all the hard work I've put in over the years.

  5. I still do think you should look into making your museum a traveling one. The issue with a physical museum is it'll be hard to attract interest (especially if your location is as remote as you make it out to be). On the other hand, there are plenty of Lego conventions each year and by showing off your collection (or a part of it) at events like that, you'd definitely get more interest than you would sitting around and waiting for people to come to you.

The thing is, I'm paying for everything out of pocket. The museum will be on my property, but I would like to bring certain parts to conventions, when I could make it out to them.
  6. TLH and I are actually good friends, he does have some items I don't, and I have some he doesn't. The thing with prototypes though, is they can't be counted on an official list because there's always gonna be one special variation that I won't be able to get. I do have a prototype black and yellow Bitil helmet. I'll have a silver great Huna before to long, assuming the trade works out. I also have about 25 give or take 2001 prototype sets. TLH and I have a friendly competition going on, it's all in good fun.

@Bioniclepluslotr: it's a long story, but, go to YouTube and look up platinum Avohkii, watch my video and that should basically describe it.

  7. Currently no, (If you look at my sig you'll see what I'm missing) but I'm only collecting sets and collectibles. I am adding books, comics, posters, , ect though! I was going to put "the most complete collection in the world" but hopefully I'll have the items I'm missing before I open the gallery.

I think mask collector is getting alittle greedy with his collecting...

People feel entitled when they do things for the public.
I don't feel entitled, I just think it would be cool to see them all together, I have put forth a lot of effort to get my collection this complete. I don't like thinking some random kid is gonna win this mask and mistreat it, I was just trying to make it clear that if someone here won one of them, that I would want it too, and if they wanted to trade it, I am ready to make an offer. just because I have a big collection doesn't mean I don't want the cool new stuff guys!

Indeed, the archives is a perfect name. xD

That is very impressive though. You will have to take pics and show us. :) Does this include combiners as well?

    -NotS

Yes, it includes all Combiner and alternate models. Alongwith every collectible minus the ones I'm missing. It will also contain all the 2015 stuff. Along with comics, posters, cards, promotional stuff, ext...

Thanks for your interest, I plan on postinga lot of pics! And a video tour!

    Mc

Wait, so you have the Platinum Avohkii too? :o Even Prototypes, like the Sand Tarakava?

That's crazy, especially since you have every single combiner and alternate model on display. Man I'd love to visit this museum if I could.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost to obtain such a near-complete collection?

EDIT: Saw your profile. So you do have it! That's awesome. How are you planning on displaying everything?

    -NotS

Yes I own the Platinum Avohkii, and a Solid Gold Hau. I do own a good amount of 2001 prototype sets, But I DO NOT OWN A SAND TARAKAVA. A lot of people seem to think I do own the sand tarakava, but it's just a rumor.

I Own 1 of every set ever made, and 1 of each combo and alternate model ever made. Everything I own that is BIONICLE will be on display in the Museum. I'm going to make a list of how many pieces are in a complete BIONICLE collection. Along with the original or estimated costs of everything, basic information, ect

I will be displaying them on glass shelves, hopefully every set will be lit up by LED's and i will also have my collectibles on display, in custom made boxes. there is more to come, but i will post a different topic for all of that information.

As for the value of my collection, lets just say more then i'd like to admit. The Platinum Avohkii was $15,000 just to put it into perspective. but the sets I obtained over the years, from family, friends, for my birthday and so on. I grew up with BIONICLE, I would love to share my love for them with anyone who wants to learn.

PS: I think I'm going to go with this: What do you guys think?

                                         THE BIONICLE ARCHIVES:

    Insert cool bionicle picture here!800px-2001-2007_Poster.png

The Only Complete Bionicle Collection In The World.

    Maybe something like this?

  10.

THEY BELONG IN THE BIONICLE MUSEUM!

They belong to whoever wins them.
That's right mask collector has collected enough!
That is true, the do belong to whoever wins them, but wouldn't it be great to have them somewhere were they'll be appreciated instead of in the hands of some kid who doesn't really know what it is worth and would mistreat it? Also, @Ras: I don't know why you are giving so much hate to me, I've never met you and you only have messaged me once. I'm just doing what everyone else is, trying to complete their collections, or get the Bionicle items they're missing.

  12. Well, for copyright purposes, it'll need to be in the name somewhere, but you can stylize whatever your logo will be so it's less obtrusive.

Anyway, I like "The (LEGO) BIONICLE Archives: A complete collection". Rolls off the tongue better if you have "A" complete collection instead of "The" but I can see why you'd want "The", since there's only one =P.

It'd be cool if you have tablets or screens set up at certain stations that provide information on the sets and things as well... perhaps information from BS01 (hint hint wink wink nudge nudge)

Haha, You're awesome man. I am planning on having something either printed out for each set/collectible/whatever. because i am paying for everything out of my own pocket. but if i did have enough funds, i would get some screens in there to play the more iconic videos, and give main information about the Bionicle Universe.

  13. I think that if the goal is for it to e more widely recognizable, then incorporating something like a reference to it being a LEGO set would be good. I was thinking something like:

Biological Chronicle: The exposition of the toy that saved Lego from going bankrupt - the world's most complete collection of Bionicle action figures and other merchandise

Anyways good luck with the project :D!

Thanks man, I've been collecting the list, i will make a topic about it soon enough! Also, i think adding the Lego symbol somewhere would help. but I'm not sure if i would want it in the name, mostly because i want the sole focus to be on BIONICLE.

I would call it "BIOlogical chroNICLE".

@lyichir: the museum would be in the town I would be living in, in Utah.

Utah huh? Ever known anyone who worked for Saffire Inc?

EDIT: Darn it, someone ninja'ed a variation on my idea.

No, I don't. I live in quite a small town in Utah though, that is probably why.

@Everyone: I'm wanting to make a section in the Museum and have it be for mocs sent to me for display purposes, And I'm also looking for some donations of items like some of the Posters, Cards, or similar items.

  14. I do like the idea of chronicle as well. I just don't want a really long name for it either. The wall of history sounds pretty cool. And I was thinking I would have some separate sections in the museum I could name other things, like the archives could just be for the rahi area, then the wall of history could be for something else.

  15. @lyichir: the museum would be in the town I would be living in, in Utah.

@everyone: I was thinking about holding my own event for when the museum would open, and having people come and build stuff for the museum, maybe bring some strange items that would be cool to have for the museum. Looking at some of the names, I came up with this:

The Bionicle Archives: The Complete Collection.

The Archives: The Only Complete Bionicle Collection

I'm looking a lot of the names, looking forward to more!

    Thanks guys

    Mc

  16. @Dorek:It's the world's only 100% complete Bionicle Collection. It will have all the sets, collectibles, and a lot of other stuff including comics, books, movies, cards etc...

@hachiroku: I like : The World of Bionicle. Mostly because it's simple and gets the point across. It's cool to see someone else doing it as well!

@Everyone: I like the idea of the archives, or including spherus Because of the relation with Bionicle. I was actually thinking that I would have a section called "The Archives" for rahi sets that were like the master builder, or some of the rahi beasts from the rahi beasts book.

Thanks for all of the great ideas! Keep them coming!

  17. Hello everyone! As some of you already know, I'm planning on opening a Bionicle Museum or gallery. I'm wanting help from you guys with coming up with a creative name for the museum! I want it to be something catchy and original, yet something even someone who knew little or nothing about Bionicle could look at and instantly know that it is a bionicle dedicated gallery.

I'm offering some free bionicle stuff to someone who can come up with a creative name. Basically I'll pick some of the ones I like and either make a spin off of my own version, or use the one you came up with. HOWEVER! if I decide to use your name, It must be legal for me to use!

Thanks for any help! Feel free to enter as many names and times as you want!

  18.

I remember getting Vezon and Kardas 6 months before the release by some guy on ebay! There's a chance someone will list them on ebay or something similar and you'll be able to get them before the release date. My birthday is the 31st of Dec. I'm going to try to get them by Christmas or My birthday.

    MC

How was the price on it?

I got it for $150 shipped. It was really cool, i tried posting the pictures to Lego.com and they took the pics down! Then when the set was officially released, i posted the pics and they stayed up!
