  1. IC: Praxis What's this fool buggering on about. "What are you buggering on about? What's going on in Ko-Koro?" - - - - - - - - - - IC: Dessa "Oh! Uh, just in case you were wondering, it's my extended family that I was talking about when I said 'fourteen people'. Best get that confusion out of the way. My mother and father, two grandparents, me, my two sisters, two uncles, two aunts, and three cousins."
  2. Working on it. Anyone interested can shoot me a PM and I'll go from there.
  3. IC: Torana - - - - - "Where are we going, Kaz?" "Nowhere in particular. Just... out there, somewhere. Deeper into the jungle, where there are more Rahi." Pangs of nervousness stirred within her. "Rahi? Isn't it dangerous out there? Mom told me it was dangerous." He nodded. "Yup. Sure is. But that's why we're headin' out, right? Gotta find some Rahi if we're gonna eat." She wondered what he meant for a few seconds before it occurred to her. "We're going hunting?" "Uh, yeah - dad didn't tell you? Today's the day when you learn how to pull your weight, sis." "But I don't know how to hunt!" He gave a warm smile and chuckled briefly. "That's why I'm gonna teach you. Today's lesson is Rahi-hunting one-oh-one," Kazon quipped, giving his little sister a reassuring pat on the shoulder. "But you said you don't even know where you're going!" "Well, Rus gave me a general idea of where to go and where to look, back when he taught me. Now I'm the one teaching you. And the first thing Rus taught me-" He unslung the quiver from his shoulder and knelt down to strap it to Torana's back. "-was to carry the arrows." "It's really heavy." "Oh, I know. But it's important that you carry them. They're going to make you stronger - in more ways than one. We're gonna need them if we want to actually kill anything today. Plus, all the food we're gonna get is gonna help you grow big and strong so carrying the arrows will be no problem for you, one day, when I'm not around and you're gonna have to teach Faya or Lin to do the same." She, nodded, understanding what he meant, but pinched her expression at the thought of killing Rahi. Her brother caught it and sighed knowingly. "We're gonna have to kill them if we want to eat them, Tor. It's just how it works. If we don't, we're not gonna eat. Besides, it's better than trying to hunt with this." He brandished the Yari that'd been slung across his back, crouching down and holding it up so his sister could see the Avaliona family ornamentation etched into the blade and handle. "This'll be yours to carry one day, Torana. It's been in our family for... I don't know how long, dad might know... but the important thing is that it reminds us of who we are. You understand that, right?" She stared at it, running her fingers across the engravings, lost in thought for a moment. "Rus told me it was really valuable. But... why don't we just sell it? The we won't have to hunt!" Kazon frowned a bit. "I know, Tor. We could probably get a lot of money for it. But that's not who we are. This spear - what it reminds us of - it's family. We're all in this together, Tor. If we lose this, we lose each other. We need to make sure that never happens, right?" - - - - - She opened her eyes, feeling the warm Ta-Koro air flooding through the window and brushing at her face. "Right," she whispered to herself.
  4. IC: Jettix This is not good at all. Nope. Why am I even thinking about this. Gah. He didn't want to go back empty-handed. He'd look like a fool. He'd already looked like a fool in front of enough people in his life. If he was wrong in his guess- Just do it. He steeled himself and sped right through the walls into the front lobby of the bank. He looked around. Four guards. No Elda. Oh thank the Great Spirit. He looked around, taking in what he could see. The guards were spread around the room, some just lounging on the benches, looking bored, a couple just standing against the walls, arms crossed, looking equally bored. Only one guy looked alert. The main part of the lobby was taken up by a couple rows of stanchions that led from an area with tables and benches to the far side of the room where the tellers sat, behind safety bars. There were barred doors on either side of the teller-line that blocked access to the back sections of the bank, locked by the looks of them and only accessible by the guards, who obviously had the keys. Luckily, in this form, he had no need for keys. Passing straight through the teller-line and into the hallway behind, the corridor branched off in three directions - a room to the left and to the right, and a room straight in front of him, at the end of the hall. Restrooms were to the left. Nobody in there. To the right seemed to be the employee breakroom, with four tables, some counters, and an icebox. Curiously, the far wall of the breakroom contained a door, unguarded. It seemed to be the only other entrance to the bank, apart from the front doors. Strange. If it's not guarded, then it surely is wired to set off an alarm if opened. Seems like a major oversight if it weren't. Just then, he heard footsteps behind him. Turning, he saw a guard passing through the hall he'd just been in. A pang of fear shot through him for a moment, before he realized that they weren't wearing an Elda. Where'd this guy come from? What's he doing? Looking back down at the end of the hall, he spied another guard standing by a spiral staircase, going both up to the top floor and down to... what he assumed was the basement. Okay, now I definitely know where the Vault is, and where that Elda guard must be. Not going down there just yet. Returning his attention to the 'wildcard' guard, he followed him back to the lobby area, where he was just haphazardly looking around from behind the teller-line, before walking back down the hall and heading up the stairs. Huh. Must be a wandering guard. That'll be difficult. Moving on, he checked out the room with the spiral staircase at the back. The guard at the stairs was standing on some kind of raised square plate embedded in the floor. Is that a pressure pad? Geez, this place doesn't screw around. Two other rooms branched off from the stairwell room, blocked by what looked like sturdy security doors. Phasing through with ease and checking out the rooms revealed them to be stores for safety deposit boxes. Not of any particular interest to him. He was after the vault. He daren't go to the basement just yet, and he only wanted to memorize the main floor for now, so the top floor was a no-go as well. He took another quick look around the entirety of the main floor, trying to take in as much detail as possible, including the number of guards and their positions. There was just one other complication he spied before he was about to leave. One of the lobby guards was standing beside a weird, rectangular protrusion in the wall. From a distance, it would have looked no different from the rest of the stone around it, but it was peculiarly raised from the surface. He couldn't interact with it to see what it was, of course, but it was an oddity to check out for another trip. He exited the bank and made his way back to the hidden cave where the others were waiting. Surely they were getting impatient- Oh. Oh yes, they were. He re-entered his body with some pretty strong feelings about this crew bubbling up inside him. "Okay. Who's getting their face melted off?"
  5. IC: Gatanka "Oh." He furrowed his brow in confusion and downed another apple in contemplation.
  6. IC: Arcturia "I'm not inclined to trust you."
  7. IC: Savfina "I appreciate the offer, but I'd rather it not be dead weight to you lot for the remainder of the journey. If you're going to the Iron Mahi station, you can just carry it there, and I'll meet up with you once I find a way to re-charge the blasted thing. Is that okay?"
  8. IC: Gabe He tried to place a hat on Wraith's head.
  9. IC: Praxis "So is just standing there and watching, buddy. Mind your own business."
  10. IC: Savfina She watched, dumbfounded, as everyone started walking away, completely ignoring her and leaving her behind with her dead Exo-Matoran. - - - - - - - - - - IC: Jokaro He shook the Matoran's hand. "Obliged."
  11. IC: Praxis Who IS this ebag...?
  12. IC: Gatanka "According to who?"
  13. IC: Arcturia "Why is my business. I've already shared enough with you."
  14. IC: Arcturia "...I just keep them."
  15. IC: Gatanka "...is that... unusual?"
  16. IC: Jokaro He looked between his waiting hand and the Matoran in front of him before bringing his hand up and scratching the back of his head awkwardly. "Oh...kay?" - - - - - - - - - - IC: Savfina She sighed and shook her head. "And where exactly would we head off to?"
  17. IC: Praxis Don't you say it. Don't you even dare. "Hey, come with us then!" ###### This was taking forever. Why was he even here, humouring these dorks who wanted to go look at some hills? "We could probably help ya out. Couldn't we, guys?" "Nope, we're far too busy. Later. Bye." He started walking and then some guy whacked his cane on the ground nearby. Great who's this ######ebag OOC: They're actually going to the hilly area between Ta- and Ga-Wahi, Ghidora.
  18. IC: Arcturia "Trinkets," she replied curtly.
  19. nah I'll bust'em every time we don't [° ͜ʖ°]
  20. yo anyone up for forming a mafia-esque crime syndicate or something of that ilk I've got a "consigliere-for-hire" sorta character fresh in my profiles and I don't feel like just sticking him into a Wahi somewhere like a schlub and fishing for interaction iunno why I keep doing these crime-based group things but yeah
  21. IC: Jettix JETTIX SENSED A DISTURBANCE IN THE FORCE BECAUSE SOMEONE WAS PUTTING GUNPOWDER ON HIS FACE The lights of Onu-Koro were dimming, and the underground village grew darker than the typical 'daytime' darkness. The sun was setting aboveground, and Onu-Koro was simulating the twilight down below. This meant that, as he floated invisibly through the cavern walls and down near the bank, Jettix watched and waited. The time had slipped by, and he hadn't known the Bank's hours, but he was glad he didn't bother to barge straight in, even invisible and intangible as he was. It was closing for the day, and he'd arrived just in time to see the 'changing of the guard,' as it were. The daytime guard - he counted twelve, plus a few others wearing more sophisticated clothing - filed out, and only eleven guards filed in. The real problems were the two guards wearing Kanohi Elda, one leaving and one entering. He could guess exactly where they were stationed. Hmm.
  22. IC: Gabe Gabe did a little jig for no reason other than he felt like it. Also he tipped his fedora because why the not.
  23. IC: Gatanka He finished the apple he was currently devouring with a disproportionate amount of gusto to what would be considered 'normal' and wiped away the beads of sweat that had managed to accumulate on his forehead somehow. Following that, a sudden outburst finally caught his attention. "What the ######." "Language," he scolded.
  24. IC: Savfina "I'm not that short..." she muttered as the two she had approached from behind took no notice of her. So she gave both Rannin and Volin a bump each right on the funny-bone. "Ahem. Before everyone starts going off in any direction they see fit, my machine is out of power. I'd appreciate it quite a bit if you two could safeguard it while I pay a quick visit and see to getting it running again. You hear me?" - - - - - - - - - - IC: Jokaro He held out his hand. "Jokaro Veqerel of the Motara; Maker of things and your typical vagabond-ish nobody."
