I see stark similarities between the thwant and the thneed.

Iron makes sense. They are rust-coloured after all.

Though I'd like to see dark-reddish and brown, possibly old-bronze-green in there, too.

But green is oxidized copper, not Iron.

And iron makes sense, after 1000's of years of tribelesss neglect, their (hopefully) iron armor rusted to an orange.

Why is the MU completed, then Tren Krom is created to keep it running while it is created?

Shouldnt Tren Krom precede Arthaka/Karzahni and the MU's completion?
