    In other news, I'm leaving for Philly this Sunday. It'll be fun and difficult, and I'll come back Friday. Tomorrow will certainly be a busy packing day.

    And cuz I leave on Sunday, I can't change my name back to "Disky". xP Oh well, that can wait.

    Aaand I have a ton of music to download in between watching Bleach episodes (152 and counting as of this entry's posting).

    Extremely Long Songs

    You know of those songs some guys record that are at least ten minutes long? One that I am listening to right now is "And Then There Was Silence," by Blind Guardian.

    What do you think of these long songs? When you listen to one for the first time, do you grumble at its length? Or do you think about how many minutes of awesome that could be?

    Days ago I added a content block under "Beautiful hair!", for your information so you can enjoy it.

    The Open House was okay and left me tiredtiredtired. I'm very thankful a kind old lady staff at school let me out half an hour earlier.
    Other than that the event isn't very interesting to blog about.
    Red velvet cupcakes, on the other hand... yum.

    Also, a friend and I are entering a contest to write and illustrate a children's book with the theme of diversity and tolerance. Friend is going to illustrate, and I'm going to write. It's going to involve cats. B) The prize for the first prize winner(s) is a scholarship, publishment of the book (2000 copies, I think?), and a grant for your high school and English teacher. Smaller scholarships to second and third placers.
    But the deadline is tight because my teacher told the class about it late. It's due March 8, but I think I can do it in enough time to also have my friend illustrate scenes.

    Aaaah Midterms

    Midterms this week, started tomorrow and ending Thursday. ;_;

    My midterm schedule is: Tuesday: Art, art, lunch, global history
    Wednesday: Gym (;___, science, geometry
    Thursday: English, Italian

    The only cool parts about this week are rapping in lunch to study for Global midterm, and possibly finally going to the Tim Burton exhibit at the art museum (since it's ending soon).

    So my table in art class, despite our seats having been chosen by the teacher, is amazing. While painting, we all discuss and give each other relationship/dating advice... at least for those to whom it applies (not meeeee). But we sometimes have hilarious discussions. Best class ever.

    Yoko I plan to replace as soon as I gain access to a certain Pokemon. I also question whether to have my Munna or not. Another possible member currently is my female Lv. 22 Whirlipede, Kusanagi. Otherwise, my team will change with time only~

    Bad Day

    Today is a bad day.

    Okay first thing was in Warlords Battlecry III. I was having fun with a new map pack my brother downloaded, and the maps were amazingly awesome. But, when I played with one of my heroes, he died. I played on the same map over again with precautions and he died again. >< Then I switched maps and it was cool but still. Meh. (got him up a level though :3)

    Second was my new computer. Technically it's not new, just a used thing I got from a friend. But ti was pretty nice when I turned it on last night. Now today it wouldn't turn on at all. I messed with the cords and whatever, and nothing. Hopefully dad gets home soon...

    Next is when I got on this comp, AIM kept freezing. I crtl+alt+del'd it, and started it over, but it froze once more. Of course then it got better and I was okay.

    And then BZP was being bad while I tried to get to my blog to rant about all this. =P

    I just can't seem to get used to the English names for the starters and the region in Pokemon Black & White. But then, when the game comes out, watch me be all cool with them. Just watch. xP

    As a refresher, the Isshu region as we had known it is Unova in English, Tsutarja (grass) is Snivy, Pokabu (fire) is Tepig (the pig!), and Mijumaru (water) is Oshawatt.

    How The Party Went

    It was crazee. For my first party with high school friends, it was pretty crazy.

    Okay so I got there with a friend and everyone went downstairs into this little area of the apartment building's basement. It was kind of like an apartment only waaay smaller. Like, there were three rooms and a bathroom and they were all tiny.

    So we got in there, put on some music, got out fruits and chips, and danced. Some highlights were my Rickrolling them, "Bye Bye Bye" being played over and over, rap, and all your classic, cliche party songs.

    The cake that was had was red velvet, and it was delicious.

    I think the best part was at the very end, though. So I call mom and dad, who are waiting in the Starbucks at the corner right next to the house. I tell them that I'll be there in a minutes. When I announce my leave to everyone, we made a plan to all go out, and cha cha to Starbucks. We were pretty loud. xP
    So we get to Starucks and I'm dismissed. But it's not over yet!
    They had decided to go around the entire block, so by the time I exited Starbucks I met up with them again. So they all turned around to the direction I was going, and we marched down the street singing "When the Saints go marching down!" or "Weeeee are the champions, my friends..." and more. When we reached the end of the street, we huddled together and sang "We Will Rock You," and then had a huge hug before my mom pulled me out of the crowd and we finally left.

    First Day Of School!

    IMA HIGH SCHOOL FRESHMAN

    Since I bet everyone wants it, here's my daily schedule of classes:
    Period 1 - I have no period one this semester, so I get to sleep in. ^^
    Period 2 - Physical Ed. on Tuesdays and Thursdays only. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday means sleep in more. ^^
    Period 3 - Freshman English 1. We read The Assistant over the summer and are gonna do stuff on it, and our next read is expected to be The Little Prince. I'm liking this class.
    Periods 4 and 5 - Art Studio Practice 1, sketching. We did an assignment and are gonna finish and discuss tomorrow. But yay double period of art daily! =D I share this class with a middle school friend.
    Period 6 - Lunch. I share this with no middle school friends, so I'd better find some new people soon so I don't sit alone all the time. ^^;;
    Period 7 - Global Studies 1 (basically history). We're going to be doing Prehistorics and Ancient times, as well as Medieval and other stuff. Includes museum projects.
    Period 8 - Living Environment 1 (science, people). Our actual teacher was absent so the substitute gave us some articles and stuff... But I hope it's good.
    Period 9 - Geometry 1. I hope it's gonna be good, since I'm pretty good at math. =D
    Period 10 - Italiano 1. The teacher speaks the entire class in Italian, so we have to catch on fast. Luckily he writes word meanings on the board, but still it's a bit tough. At least my brother knows some Italian so he can help me. =)

    Other than that not baaad. Day ends at 4:00, and wake-up depends on whether or not I have PE.

    Plus the people are scary. .__.


    And by the way, I wrote a short story, "Crushing Soundscape" so you should check it out and read it. Not very action-y, but still fun. =P

    So today in review. I thought I should make a long entry for this day. For no reason. =P

    So today, my art teacher was absent but left an assignment for us to draw a pleasant or nightmare dream (or make one up lol). I made up a teacup that had steam coming out that made rain (well, tea) clouds that refilled the cup. And cookies. ^^

    Also in art, I was standing with some of the girls and we started talking about eyes. Then I got a lovely compliment: That my eyelashes were really pretty and so were my eyes. They even said the tiny, tiny hint of green in my eyes was beautiful.
    (Spink, I have beautiful eyes, right? :3)

    After art, lunch was also crazy. They tried to start dance-offs again like they had the previous two school days, but failed miserably. Anyways, this girl I sit with kept inviting people to our table and it became too crowded and we had to make a plan. And we made a plan to send some girls here reeeal early so they would smash two tables together and fit everyone. Nice plan, eh? =P

    Aaaand Italian. Me and one of the guys from the circle were working on thepractice test our teacher wanted us to make so he could pick one and give it to us to take as practice for Friday. We had a good time, and then I spent a ton of time typing it up and making corrections today. >__>

    Went home with some peeps, was okay

    Amount of homework was rather extreme, as Dudebot and Leada had noticed, but I lived through it. I even did Math homework that wasn't due tomorrow. =P Still, D=

    And finally the AIM update. On whatever new computers I get, I'll be only able to log in on my other account. Apparently linked accounts failed when I switched from my original comp that had the linked to the new comp and logged in (since my diskmaster859 AIM's password was forgotten with the secret question). So you all have to add me on diskeh and IM me so I see you on my friendslist (whether I'm online or not, send a random IM with the most ridiculous thing you can think of).

    And I'm gonna be switching comps again since this new one is slow. =P

    Hard Work Paid Off

    So this morning, my dad and I went for a run and then did yoga. Pretty good wake-up call, especially in the heat. >__>

    Now then! When we got home, we decided to make something yummy. We just finished making these dumpling-like things, only they're full of cherries. The result was excellent.

    Objects To Use?

    So for art class we're gonna start some serious watercolor paintings, and I need to either bring in a fruit (which I've been bringing this whole week ><) or bring in some random, cool objects.

    Any suggestions for objects?

    I also finished the drawing I mentioned in my previous entry, but I'll have to scan it when I bring my big bag (it really is a sack) of art home.


    And I dunno about you but I think this is pretty awesome.

    Here's a quick list of what I've done, since I'm low on time and getting ready to leave tomorrow morning for DC/Virginia for Brickfair:
    - Watched a ton of anime (I'll compile a list later)
    - Been to Philadelphia
    - Got exercise
    - Bleach Speak (coughs at Sisen)
    - Got done some long-due drawings
    - Saw several surgeries, and hospital places, etc.

    Yeah not much. ._.

    Anyone going to Bfair, I'll see you there. ^^

    The school bell to change periods and stuff. I despise it. As I stated in a journal entry today in English class about our first impressions of the school:

    "And the bell. Seriously, it's not even a bell. It's a nerve-jerking, deep whuuuuuuuuu sound that would otherwise have no purpose in society."

    In any case, I got a new computer monitor for my birthday. And it's fabulous [max]. Rather, more fabulous than my previous tiny, dirtied, white monitor. Even all my programs have yet to adjust themselves to the new resolution.
    It's just wonderful. ;_;

    How I Confuse Myself

    So sometimes, I ponder too hard about a certain word. I think about it, repeat it in my head over and over and over, try and spell it out several times, fit it into sentences, etc.

    And the longer I think, the less the word makes sense to me. I start to not understand the meaning, correct spelling, usage, existence, and other aspects. "Disturb" and "yet" are some of the latest words I've pondered about. And, for no reason I know of, large words don't really get pondered about in such a way.

    What a strange habit I have.
