  1. IC: It was a nearly sleepless night for Banua. A thousand worries continued to bedevil him into the wee hours of the morning. He knew what he must do, but could not bear the thought. Finally, the toa drifted into a fitful sleep, filled with dreams of screams and ferocious rahi.Early the next morning, he arose, absorbed the energy from his breakfast, and set to refurbishing his toa tools and refreshing his knowledge of Po-wahi and the dangers that the caravan could encounter. At half past 8, Banua set out across the village to the tunnel that would lead him to the village of stone. There he met Vade and a few other matoran who would be coming along for the journey. A couple of them began whispering when they saw him approach – the ex-hero of Onu-koro emerging at last? What could this mean? At least that was what he thought they must be saying. Momentarily, he thought of using his faxon to grant him the advanced hearing of a subterranean worm, but then thought better of it. Let them whisper. There would be plenty to speak of before the day was out, whatever he fate of their expedition. In a way, it gave him pleasure to think that his adventures might again be discussed by the Onu-matoran around their campfires.OOC: There are others coming, right? Are there any other PCs?

OOC: Sorry for not posting earlier, I've been quite busy. Also, there are other matoran coming, but not any other PCs.IC:Vade saw Banua coming. He walked over to him."Hello," he said. "The cargo for the convoy will be arriving in half-an-hour's time. We'll then be loading it onto the ussal carts, which are arriving shortly."
  2. IC: "We're leaving at half-past Nine O' Clock tomorrow," replied Vade. "The meeting place is at the entrance to the Po-Koro Highway. We won't be too hard to spot, there will be three medium-sized Ussal Carts to transport ourselves and the goods."

  3. IC: The toa’s response was slow in coming, but it came with more assurance. “You’re right of course. It’s all in my head why I can’t defend the koro, but that will take time to overcome. How is this, then? I shall come out of retirement, starting tomorrow when I will accompany you to Po-koro. Then, at least, if things go wrong, even as my heart says they must, I shall not be able to cause as much destruction out in the open wilderness as here in these crowded tunnels. Should your errand prove a success, we shall know that I return with Mata Nui’s blessing. If not, I shall return to the mines with a clear conscience, knowing I was never destined to be a hero.” By the end of his speech, Banua’s eyes had regained some of their former fire, their steely purpose. Here was Vade, a matoran, a member of the community who had suffered his lapse, and he still wanted him back, in spite of the danger. His heartlight flashed stronger at the thought of a concrete chance of redemption; another mission after all these years. OOC: That's all completely negociable if you don't want to go though. On the other hand, it might be fun :)

IC: Vade considered Banua's offer. If Banua did come, the convoy would have a lot more protection. If not, a medium-sized rahi attack might finish the convoy off. The answer began to be obvious. "Yes, that is a good idea," he said. "Thank you."
  4. IC: "I see," said Vade. "I'm sure any extra help protecting the Koro would be welcome, in such a time as this." Banua's comment on the increasing rahi attacks made his mind wander to tomorrow's trading journey. He sincerely hoped that the convoy would not be attacked by rahi.

  5. IC: Vade took a bite out of the fish. "Very nicely cooked," he said. "It's my weekly treat, to have something from the fresh fish stand." "So," Vade continued, "has anything interesting happened to you recently?"

  6. IC: "Well, I can't see any reason to refuse your offer, so thank you," said Vade. He paused for a moment while the Ga-Matoran at the fresh fish stand got the extra order. "So," he said, "shall we be getting to your hut now? That is, of course, unless you have something you need to do first."

  7. IC: "Oh, the same as ever." the toa replied. "Have you found any good prospects lately? My tunnel's getting a bit thin on protodermis."

IC: "We're doing reasonably well," said Vade. "Tomorrow, we'll be taking several cart-loads of raw protodermis, ore, and lightstones to Po-Koro, to sell to the traders and carvers there. I'm mainly going to help explain to the carvers what types of raw protodermis they would want."
  8. IC: Vade - Onu-Koro The traders at the market were rounding off business for the day. A few stalls were still open, though, so Vade decided to see if there was anything he wanted. The Ga-Koronian Fresh Fish stall was one of the stalls still trading, so Vade walked over to it. A nice piece of fish would do well for his evening meal. "One fillet of that fish, please," Vade asked the stall owner. He handed the required widgets over, and the Ga-Matoran who owned the stall handed Vade the fish. OOC: Still open for interaction.

IC: Banua moved slowly through the Onu-koro twilight. It was peaceful his time of day, not that day and night meant much underground. Strolling through the market, he spotted Vade, a fellow miner. He had not spoken to the matoran often, but tonight he felt like somewone to talk to. "Greetings Vade. How are you this evening?"
IC: "Ah, hello Banua," Vade replied. "I'm fine, thank you. I've just finished my work for the day. And how are you?"

  10. IC: Vade - Great Mine Vade was categorizing the last few pieces of rock and protodermis that had been mined that day. Soon he would be returning to Onu-Koro. Soon he would be back in his comfortable home, enjoying the evening meal. The thought brought a smile to Vade's face. As he was in a good spirit that evening, he worked all the quicker through the classification work. He dated it, signed his name, and then took the report with him to the mine elevator. Vade pulled the lever, and the lift slowly rose up to the level where the chief prospector observed the mine. After bidding his farewell for the night, Vade made his way down the tunnel to Onu-Koro. After around ten minutes, he emerged out of the tunnel into the underground town of Onu-Koro. OOC: Open for interaction.

  11. Name: VadeSpecies: Onu-MatoranGender: MaleDescription: Typical black-and-grey '01 build Onu-Matoran. Wears a powerless grey Noble Kanohi Huna.Alignment: Good.Personality: Fairly friendly, although he does not like to be disturbed while working on something.Bio: Vade works for the Onu-Koro Mining Guild. He worked his way up from being a miner, and now he is a middle-ranking prospector for the guild. One of the responsibilities of his job is to visit new areas where the guild is hoping to expand into. He is a firm believer in the Principle of Prosperity, and does all he can to achieve it.Weakneses: Like most matoran, Vade is not physically strong. Also, he is not that brave if he comes face-to-face with one of the wild Rahi that populate the tunnels.
