So last night I had this dream that I procrastinated on the lab report I have to/had to do long into the night. In the dream, I stayed up until 5:00 a.m. to type it up. Then when I put it away, I realized I had only done a part of it, so I went to get it again. The dream kind of skips a bit, and I think I'm sort of half-waking up when I think "Oh geez, am I asleep?" because I was still kind of dreaming. I'm thinking "Aw man, I wish I had more time," then I kind of wake up more. I half-realize it wasn't due today, so I had to spend several minutes convincing myself of this. Eventually I did, and I looked at the clock, and it was like 7:00 a.m. I entertained the idea of getting up, but I was really tired, so I fell back to sleep and got up around 2:00 p.m.
And here I am, working on my lab report more diligently than usual.
Remember when I posted the entry with the lyrics to the song "The Marvelous Toy"? Originally that was what my entry was going to be about. The only problem was that I couldn't figure out a way for it to match the description in the song. So I kinda gave up on that idea.
I asked a friend on AIM what song I should or could build something off of, and she suggested "Technologic", since I memorized it. I tried that, and I actually had an idea, but I still couldn't find a way for it to work.
A week later, I'm sitting on the floor of my room fiddling around with pieces when I remember the song from Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End; Hoist The Colors. I had found the right song. Originally I was just going to build a mast with a flag, and I was using all my Bordakh staves as the sails. Then I remembered I had Yetrax sitting right next to me, so I scrapped the staves and used the four plates on the engines. It was still kinda bland and plain, so I decided to build a small ship around it. It went through various stages of tinkering and rearranging to try and find a good design, and finally I settled on something. It still seemed like I was missing something, so I built a tiny patch of ocean/wave around it. It gave the ship the look of being on the seas and struggling, like what the song is about.
Rules are rules. Quit griping about them. I'm sure you can survive without texting someone every minute. Swearing every three words does not make you any of the following: "cool", funny, mature, older, smart, or popular. SHUT UP I'M TRYING TO LISTEN
This can be applied to about half my school. Maybe more.
Originally, matches in the arenas consisted of a rock-paper-scissors tournament. It seemed like a good idea, as it was nonviolent and fair.
Unfortunately, none of the Glatorian ever used anything but rock, and the issues were never settled.
Smaller debates had two Agori r-p-s against each other, but this presented different problems. Again, hardly anything was settled due to overuse of rock.
And the Zesk were at a huge disadvantage, because they could only use scissors.
Eventually, the tournaments evolved into those used today.
I've been considering placing multiple orders for sets I sort of want in order to get multiples of the Hero Pack polybag, but then I remembered what happened last time I received a promotional product with a Shop@Home order.
A couple of summers ago, just back from the first BrickFair NE, I had a $50 LEGO gift card to spend. So I ended up buying Eris' Eagle Interceptor and the Iron Man set with the boat (don't recall the exact name and don't feel like guessing). Unfortunately, the Iron Man set was on back order, so I got the Interceptor first. It included the Chima CHI Battles set, which was a promotion I was unaware of. So that was pretty cool. But when I got around to receiving the Iron Man set, that box also contained a CHI Battles set. So I got two off of one order.
So, just for the heck of it, I might try to order both the Lord of Skull Spiders and another set that looks decent and is back ordered, if I can find one. Worst case scenario I only get one polybag with the order, but if it works anything like it did last time then I might get two without having to pay for extra shipping.
And having multiples would be good, for unspecified reasons.
99.99% of BZPers have a made-up statistic in their sig that makes it look like they're being a rebel. If you are part of the 0.01% that don't, copy and paste this into your sig.
Just because you can create a poll about every Onu-Matoran and his Ussal doesn't mean you should. >_<
also dupes
And here's something that's been bugging me; Polls are usually made to be yes or no. But what if I'm in the middle? One time I was making a poll for a topic. I made sure to try and cover everything, so I put like 5 options in. Before I clicked submit, I checked to see if someone else had made a poll for it. They had. With basically a yes/no thing. I hate having to null in polls like that. >_<
