    Ok.

The Staffies apparently have a Movies theme going, as we all know. There's only one problem.

    All their movies suck. =P

Therefore, Toa Velox, ~Shadow Kurahk~ and myself (Nuju Metru) are starting our own fad... of awesome movies.

    Here's how it goes -

You change your name to the title of a kick-butt movie. (if possible/if you want to) You get a banner/avatar set to match with said movie (Myself, Velox, and SK can maybe help with this.) PM me your movie, as well as your past username (Or post them here). You're in! Current members:
    -Batman Begins (Nuju Metru)
    -The Dark Knight (Toa Velox)
    -9 (~Shadow Kurahk~)
    -Casablanca (EmperorWhenua)
    -Star Trek (The Fourth Doctor)
    -Indiana Jones (Vezok's Friend)
-Little Miss Sunshine (Nukaya Cloud Fire)
    -Quantum of Solace (Phauxx Lightning)
    -Edward Scissorhands (-Tarik-)
    -Up ((radiohead))
    -The Informant (danwojo913)
    -I Am Legend (Javi)
    -The Spirit (Cap'n Kopaka)
    -Observe And Report (-MX-)
-The Italian Job (James T. Kirk)
    -The Pumaman (Miss Krahka)

The task here it to make a matching Avatar & Banner set based on any Beatles Album.

    Rules:

-Obviously the avatar and banner can only be BZP-appropriate sizes, no bigger.

-The entry must clearly represent some Beatles album. If I can't tell what album it is, your entry will be disqualified.

-No Beatles Albums that weren't produced while the band was together (Such as Love, Let it Be...Naked, etc.)

-Using text to clarify your entry, or for any other reason, is also not allowed. (text that may appear on the image you use is alright.)

-The avatar and banner must be matching, meaning that they represent the same album, and have the same color scheme (a good example of a matching banner/avvie set are my current Instant Karma ones).

-Only one entry per person, but you are allowed to change your entry mid-contest, as long as it's before the deadline.

-All entries that will be considered must be posted in this entry by midnight, Pacific time, on Wednesday, March 18th.

-The winning avatar and banner will be used by me. Also, you'll be the first to have your name in a new "Contest Winners" content block in my blog.

Here's a list of competitors so far:
    -MX-
    Zeddy
    Gukko Force Captain
    Khaos
    -Black Oyster Pearl-
    Some Guy Named Snoopy82
    Aneroth
    Arbiter

Hope to see some awesome entries!

EDIT: Republished for new content - New Set Posted!

Pictures of the last three sets will be taken soon!

    ...

The theme is about these two wizards. Scallow is an evil Necromancer, and Charon is a good "Banisher," or someone who sends resurrected dead back to the world of the dead, to rest in peace and not be used as servants of Necromancers. Scallow, it seems, is a very competent Necromancer, able to summon and control mass armies of the dead, instead of only one or two, at a time. However, despite Scallow's skill, he needs some outside help to hold an army of the size he commands.

So, the Necromancer does what nobody has ever done before; he tries to gain aid from one of the Greater Dead, the most powerful beings in the world of the dead. He ends up forming a pact with Xethrinn the All-Powerful, King of the Dead, who, unable to come himself, being too large in power to be summoned by any necromancer, sends to the world of the living his envoys, the demon Wraithra, who are essentially tendrils of Xethrinn's essence which he can control. With the Wraithra in his army, Scallow's force of darkness seems invincible.

However, Charon, the good wizard, sees of Scallow's strength and power-hungriness, and immediately lunges into action. He makes the sentient races of the living (humans, dwarves, elves) see this problem, and together, all of the living world creates a gigantic alliance, which is led by Charon, due to his expertise in banishing the dead. Charon, as his first act as leader, commissions the building of may war machines, specially designed to be able to permanently re-kill even a Wraithra for good. He also assembles a squad of highly skilled engineers, military experts, warriors, and even the unexpected magical prodigy, to aid him.

So begins a great war between life and death...

(Just to clear up any possibility for future confusion, this is NOT an official LEGO line. These are my MOCs, which have been built as if they were a LEGO theme.)

Please give me a second to pick up the pieces of my mind, since it just got BLOWN.

Best movie I've seen in-theaters for a long time, and it more than lives up to the hype peeps have been giving it. Seriously. If you're gonna see one movie, pick this one.

Well, today I blew through 200 bucks of my graduation money to spend on LEGO Bricks. There's this awesome place about 20 minutes drive from my house that has sets from, like, YEARS ago, all for sale at about original retail price, and also has a MOCing area with a HUGE variety of parts (Best place ever).

I got a bunch of cool stuff, as one would expect, but what really amazed me was that they had...

    *drumroll*

The BIONICLE Master Builder Set from 2002, new and sealed in box, last one on the shelf.

I was gonna buy it, but didn't have enough left if I wanted to buy the rest of Glatorian Legends.

But while driving back, I thought to myself, "How much could I have sold that Master Builder set for on Amazon.com, or something?"

Pretty much my whole rehearsal today was spent on the big kissing scene, which involved deep, soul-on-soul gazes, lots of me affectionately touching her face, smiling, holding hands/waists/shoulders, and being close enough that every part of us was touching.

Not to mention kissing. Lots of that, too.

EDIT: Also, this appears to be my 700th blog entry. Yay? One would think I'd have done something better for this momentous entry. But hey, I guess I'm just disappointing.

I have a project for english, where I make a "soundtrack" to the book we're reading. For two of the (at least) 15 songs, I need to have lyrics, which go to a familiar tune.

So basically what I need is a good, familiar tune that everybody will know, and that isn't some dumb song like "Mary had a Little Lamb," some song that's well-known and cool.

    Ideas?

  11. Nuju Metru
I would've bumped the last entry, but it seems that I was rude there, so not much use to that... =P So I'll ask again - do y'all have any cool ideas for blog themes?

And in unrelated news, reading Shakespeare as a book rather than seeing it performed as the play it's intended to be is, in my mind, butchering the material.

    -Nuju Metru
  12. Nuju Metru
    Okay.

As some of you know, I made an entry saying that I was going to be on TV. I wasn't lying. It wasn't a fake. I was in fact invited to be on the Dr. Phil Show. For real.

That's why I ask all of you to believe that when I tell you in complete honesty that my mom and I decided not to do it. After a talk, we found that it just wasn't something we actually wanted or felt the need to do. I have a huge rehearsal for the play tomorrow (when I woulda left), which would suck to miss, lots of homework inevitably would pile up, etc...

This isn't me covering for a ruse. It isn't my fabricated excuse for not appearing on a TV show that I wasn't going to be on in the first place. I was invited. I was going to be on it. But I decided not to. I'm not lying about this.

Any of you who're disappointed by my choice, I'm sorry. I just found that my play and schoolwork were more important to me than being on TV. Goes to show something about my priorities, I guess.

    Thanks for reading.
