Surprised I didn't see a hot topic here about the new 2015 storyline. So, what are everyones thoughts on how the 2015 storyline fits in with the pre-hiatus one? There are three main theories most of us have: Somehow a sequel to the original storyline A complete and utter reboot, no strings attached An alternate universe within the original storylineNumber 1 is a bit of a stretch depending on how you look at it, #2 certainly looks like it's the right one, and #3 is frankly a bit of a cheat explanation if you ask me, but also definitely plausible. Personally, I think it could actually be #1, because the new location could suggest the Toa Mata are on their mission to find the Great Beings, and ended up finding another one of their projects on another world (either before or after the shattering). Makuta being "back" isn't necessarily true; our Makuta was technically Teridax, this could be just another being who shared the name of the race. Now, there is the fact that the Mask of Creation is owned by Ekimu instead of Artakha, but honestly it's possible it's a different model than Artakha's. Still, that whole point has been bothering me quite a lot; I'd been dying to see Artakha produced in set form. So, what're everyone's thoughts? Sequel? Reboot? Or alt universe?
