  1. They look wonderful as always, however I gotta say that Ehlek is a bit too stocky, but no big deal. I certainly like the whole tentacle gauntlet idea you used for kalmah, and ehlek's thumbs are lovely!

oh, and is that shoulder articulation that I see? :D

  2. That's a good point as well, altering just one piece does look pretty lazy. So it should pretty much be go all in, or don't go in at all?

Assuming you don't alter it well, or make it fit in with the rest of the moc.

    for example:

this is a one piece modification.

He went a little too far with the gloss, but looks pretty good, still.

this is a full customization: http://www.flickr.com/photos/65061697@N05/6566249947/in/photolist-b1eKkZ-b1eKte-b1eKoR-aLnnoF-a9i6YA-9hYdxo-aCpNkn-apHawD-aet4iQ-amLpvd-amHyWn-apf12b-amgFpd

  3. I certainly support the creation of custom pieces. I feel that it helps give characters a unique feel that separates them from the bionicles they are made out of. This works particularly well with masks!

EDIT: I don't approve of customizing parts to make the construction easier, just to make the final product look nicer.

  4. I don't think that this has a big influence on children as a whole. Honestly, I think a little bit of realism won't hurt anyone. It seems to me that although many folks here are rather overreacting! It needs to happen for one, to keep lego above the water, and for two to provide some contrast to the happy go lucky smiley faces that lego has been identified with. And if you seriously thing back, Would you have gotten interested in Bionicle if Tahu and Makuta had simply settled things over a nice cup of tea?

    An interesting study, none-the-less.

  5. Yes!

Well, I played for a bit more, then sent Lego some feedback with a few suggestions. Here's just a brief list of what I was thinking:

    1. Meiko's bank, just in case it hadn't been shared already.

    2. More varied boss battles, maybe a bit more like the second Crawley fight, where you had to figure out how to open the gate and didn't get swarmed by other crocs at the same time like the first.

    3. More interesting terrain, with cool thing to explore like LU's statue, caves, space ships, etc. Also suggested harder creatures that once passed, will grant access to a new area. The LU Maelstorm Gorilla comes to mind.

    4. NPCs with special mini quests like LU's. Basically, "Get this item here," "Gather X amount of this, and bring it to me," and races.

    5. NPCs with exclusive stores that sell new items that are hard to find anywhere else.

    6. More customization, in character (colors, eyes, decals) and outposts (Spore-like building creation. If you've never played it, it allows you to create a building from premade pieces and paint schemes, or select one you like from a list. A sharing feature would be awesome for the latter.)

    7. Cooler armors. I mean, come on, we've got just a ton of sashes and robes with little variation. Hopefully we can at least get that golden armor shown in the sets. It would also be cool to get variations based on the different tribes too.

So, that's about it. Any thoughts?

Yes! And also the ability to choose from all tribes!

  6.

I agree with both of those, but I would also like a combo attack system. That was one of the best parts of LU IMO.

Have any of you been getting a glitch where you can't interact with anything?

Ah yes, combos would be great. I think I may have gotten that glitch once. It does fix after refreshing, correct?

I got that glitch teleporting into the first teleport station at the forest of falling leaves! It was weird getting beat up by all those easy to kill crocs.

  7.

You're all complaining about the 2006 promo, but did any of you get the Knights Kingdom cereal promotion? That was bad.

I wish I could have gotten them, but alas; three year olds cannot purchase McDonalds meals, let alone gain an interest in a toyline aimed at seven year old boys when all they are being exposed to are Disney Princesses. And Ronald McDonald is too creepy.

I always thought Ronald McDonald was a bit creepy too.

    >I kept almost every BIONICLE Happy Meal box that I had gotten, but, because apparently they were "trash" (according to my mom), she made me throw them away. makes me miss them more and more. ;_;

I always hated it when my parents made me throw something away that was very valuable to me, but they saw as junk. I always tried to explain to them how narrow-minded they were being, but that didn't really work out too well!

:bored: All the poor canisters I wish I still had...

    Anyways, nice find!

  8. *sniffles* Ok, I can do this! *sniffles*

I fondly remember when the website changed from 2007 to 2008; It had such a new and exciting feel! Also, I enjoyed the battle for power, and how it felt like I was affecting the war and how you won prototype pictures! Earlier on, in 2005 I used to watch the hordika animations, and battle my friends in Hordika Spinner Challenge. in 2006, It was also rather fun enslaving poor matoran in piraka attack, and playing VNOG. 2007 brought a new, mysterious feel to the website, and I would watch the creeps in the deep animation over and over. Going back to 2008, I had to know absolutely every inch of the bionicle website! I read every bio, be it toa, makuta, or weapon! 2009, was a bit on the dull side, IMO, and I didn't really use bionicle dot com for anything aside from entering bio codes, although I enjoyed the MLN bionicle campaign. Lastly, in 2010 I checked bionicle.com every day for story updates to savor the last breaths of my beloved franchise as long as I could. :crying:

  9. Clearly, Greg has little knowledge about basic language concepts. A common misconception people have is that every word in English has an exact foreign translation for every language.

That's simply not true in any way. Latin eho, literally, means something like 'Hi-dee-ho!' But I always translate as 'Hey!' or something to that effect.

Or It would be rather hard to tell the story using the "direct" translation. Honestly I wouldn't enjoy reading a book of engrish dialogue, aside from the comedic value.
