    Hello everyone!
     
    It's been a very long time since I made a blog entry, but I think it's definitely overdo. With all of the news this year of Bionicle coming back, I've been browsing BZPower more than I ever was. It's a splendid time to be a Bionicle fan!
     
    Anyway, I now have a youtube channel where I discuss Bionicle news, and I've been posting everywhere on this forum, but I completely forgot about my blog! I just looked at it for the first time in forever and I was immediately sad at how long it's been since I cleaned this page up a bit. So, although I'm not sure how long I'll be updating stuff on here considering I now have a channel to run, I will probably clean this up in celebration of the line returning next year.

    Do you have any? I tend to put the pieces I'm going to use on an moc into neat, orderly piles before I start building. I also usually start making an Exo-skeleton of my moc first, and then I add on armor at the end. What wierd mocing habits do you have?

    Well the new pictures look way better than the prototypes did, so I'm relieved because of that. On the other hand, I think the fact that all the villians are the same colors annoys me. Two of the villians look really cool though, so I'll be sure to try and get them.
     
    Also, I've been in sort of a bionicle slump the last two weeks, but these new pictures have got me pumped up again, and I'll be trying to get on BZpower more often. I really want to enter that EM Contest, so I'll see if I can make anything in time...

    Edit: This epic was canceled a long time ago. However, feel free to read my old and inexperienced writing style.
     
    The tattered and blackened cloak dragged across the ground as the being who wore it paced back and forth. The chamber the entity was in was dark, cold, and filled with toxic fumes. Any of these traits would have kept most people away, but this being seemed to revel in them. Monitors were scattered against one of the walls, and the walls and the ceiling were covered by a dripping, oozing slime.
     
    The being walked over to one of the monitors on the wall and stared at it intently. He was so focused on it, he didn’t even notice when another being hastily opened the door, and walked into the chamber. The dark being glanced up when the other being closed the door, but then resumed looking at the monitor.
     
    The other entity walked over to the being standing at the monitor, and he nervously cleared his throat. The one at the monitor looked up, annoyed. “What is it, Smoke Monster?” the being demanded in a harsh, metallic voice. The Smoke Monster stiffened, and he replied tersely, “The attack on Biozon is set to begin soon, sir. We have our agents in place, and the fools won’t be expecting an attack after such a long period of peace.”
     
    “Don’t underestimate them, Smoke Monster, they are stronger than they look.” The other being replied. The being looked over at the monitor again, and then he stood up. The Smoke Monster backed up. The other being was at least eight feet tall. Black, spiked armor covered his entire body, and he wore a tattered cloak on his back. He had a helmet on his head, and the red visor gleamed crimson in the darkness.
     
    “Do you remember, Smoke Monster, how you got your name?” The being asked. The Smoke Monster certainly did remember. After a failed mission, he was experimented on as punishment, and one of the experiments turned half of his body into thick, billowing smoke. The Smoke Monster looked at the arm that had been changed, and he shuddered inwardly when he saw again what had happened to it. “Yes sir, I do remember that.” He replied.
     
    “Good.” The other replied, “We wouldn’t want something like that to happen again, now would we?” The Smoke Monster took another step back. “No sir, we wouldn’t.” He stuttered.
     
    “Good...” The other replied. He turned back toward the monitor, and then he glanced back toward the Smoke Monster again. “Why don’t you go make yourself useful?” The being demanded, “Go and get the others ready, the attack will commence soon.”
     
    The Smoke Monster didn’t need to be told a second time, “Yes sir.” He replied, and then he hastily exited the room.
     
    The other being walked over to the wall with the monitors. The biggest screen had a picture of a gleaming, silver city on it. The being looked at it for a second, and then he brutally smashed the screen with his clawed fist. “The attack on Biozon will start soon,” the being thought, “and only then, Lord Oblivion will have his revenge...”

    Host Comments: First of all, I'd like to give matt02 a big congrats on winning the contest! (Feel free to give yourself a pat on the back. ) Vahkshi unit is a hybrid between a Rahkshi and a Vahki, and has an awesome gun and shield. (I couldn't ask for anything better.) The lower legs look great on this moc, and I love how the metru bodies are used as upper arms. Overall, this moc looks pretty much perfect, and I can't think of anything to criticize here.

    Host Comments: Two mocs tied for second place, and Vahki Cavalry Unit V2.9 is definitely good enough to deserve one of those places. He made a mixture of a Vahki and everything that looked good on The Shadowed One, and the end result is awesome. The tubes used also look great, and I love the color scheme.

    Host Comments: The other finalist that tied with Vahki Cavalry Unit V2.9, Oblivion Unit XXR has an awesome color scheme and a sturdy, bulky build. The shield and sword combo works great on this moc, and the flow between the black and the red on the moc looks perfect. I really like how Lord Oblivion made the shield on this moc, and the legs also have a creative build.

    Host Comments: Usually any moc that uses yellow is great, and Sparkytron also was able to make a combiner moc. The mixture between these two ideas certainly made a formidable moc, and I wasn't at all surprised that this entry made it into the finals. Both the combiner form and the seperate forms of this moc are great, and the yellow is evenly balanced and flows with the black evenly.

    Host Comments: Wow. The system-technic combo surprised me here. Usually, system and technic are very hard to combine into a smooth looking moc, but Christo made the system almost look like it was technic. The color scheme is great, and the complex build of the torso is astounding. I really love the use of the Gelu weapons here.

    Host Comments: Not only did FenrakkRider make an awesome Vahki, he also made a revamped Fenrakk for him to ride! I actually like this Fenrakk more than the Fenrakk that was released, and the rider looks way better than Vezon did. FenrakkRider did a great job of making the moc look bulky and menacing, and I think that this entry definitely deserved to be mentioned here.

    Host Comments: I love complex mocs that use gears, and Seeker Unit is one of those mocs. The color scheme and the wings, along with the gears on the lower legs, look perfect on this moc.     How would you imagine yourself if you were a bionicle character?
     
    The reason I ask this is because the other day I had this awesome idea about writing a blog epic that has a bunch of BZpower members in it, and I wanted your opinion. (If I do eventually carry out this idea, I would be sure to pm you for your permission first, so don't be scared to post a comment.) Here's the format, (of the description of your character) you should post in...

    My idea would be to write about one chapter a week for the epic, and I would post it here in my blog. The story would take place on a futuristic island called insert cool name here, and the island would closely ressemble BZpower. In the story, some evil entity has made an attack on the Survors, (Machines that run the city) and a group is being assembled to find and eliminate whoever made the attack. Chances are that whoever posts a comment here will get to be part of the group mentioned. (I can't promise that your guy will get a big role though...) Once again, this is just a cool idea I had, so I'm still not sure if I'm going to do this. Please post a comment and give me your opinion...

    Welcome to my second Blog Contest! A couple of months ago, I saw an interesting quote in the voting forum that talked about the return of Hapori Dume, (enemy of Hapori Tohu,) and basically stated that those who were loyal to him would be given control of the forums. (Hapori Dume almost took over Bzpower in 2004, and he named it VahkiPower while he was in control.) I was inspired by this idea, and I decide to make a self-moc of what I would look like serving under Hapori Dume. (Link) That's what the point of this contest is: Make a self-moc of what you would look like serving under Hapori Dume.

    Rules and Guidelines:
     
    1. Your moc must use a Vahki head. The pieces you should have are the pincers, the main head, and the eyes. You can add pieces to the original Vahki head design, and you can also make some minor modifications to the design if you wish, just be sure to ask if your idea would work first.
     
    2. Your entry can be any size, shape, or colors. Cut and/or painted parts are not allowed!
     
    3. You can enter only one entry. Your entry can be an old moc, as long as it follows the guidelines.
     
    4. If you want to use System parts, then the ratio of system should be no more than 25-75. (That's 25%.)
     
    5. To post your entry, all you have to do is post a comment in this entry and use this format.

    The second chapter was equally as epic as the first, although the whole civilized Vorox thing kind of caught me off guard. (Although I totally love the idea.) I can't wait for the third chapter, because I want to find out what the Vorox will do the toa. (Will they eat them? Will the let them go in the morning, only to hunt them down?)

    Mnolg Nostalgia

    I downloaded the MNOLG game yesterday and I played it today. The nostalgia is crazy! I remember downloading it when it came out, but I didn't know how to play it. (I was only six.) Now I can actually play the game and beat it this time. I've visited three villages, and I would have to say that the game is really fun, I suggest re-downloading it.

    Not too long ago, a BZpower member named Sparkytron decided to rebuild some of the bionicle Dark Hunters. I was inspired by his efforts, and I decided to create a couple of my own. We sent each other some personal messages, and we decided on creating the Dark Hunter Project. The point of this project is to recreate all of the official Dark Hunters, whether they are Dark Hunter Building Challenge winners, or official combiners like The Shadowed One. We both decided to post our mocs here, and I will upate this page whenever one of us makes another moc. Here are the Dark Hunters so far...

    After two months of building, and another month of voting, I'm guessing you guys are eager to see the results for the Metroid MOC Contest. There were were many great entries in this contest, but only the best will be mentioned here. Here are the Metroid MOC Contest Results...

    Host Comments: Now this guy was seriously awesome. The amount of custom on this guy is incredible, and the legs are almost perfectly accurate to the reference picture. The use of the tires on the upper arms was also quite nice, and the claws look great too. The only thing I can whine about on this moc is the head. While I have to give it extra points for it being a custom head, I think that the eyes should definitely be higher up, and that he should've at least tried to make a mouth. Anyway, this moc was clearly the best of all the entries that were entered, and it deserves to get the honor of first place.

    Host Comments: Out of all of the Metroid Characters, I would have to say the hardest one to build is Samus. However, Zorrakh was able to capture her appearance in moc form almost flawlessly. (He even made her look like a female! ) The waist and shoulder articulation on this moc is great, and I adore that cannon. The fingers on her left hand are a little wierdly colored though, and her head isn't exactly as accurate as I would want it to be.

    Host Comments: I really like how this moc captured the feel of the real Warrior Ing, and he was even able to create the little hairs on the back of his head. The purple was also a nice addition to the moc, but it looks like the moc should've really been all dark blue. (When you look at the reference picture.) Either way, this was a nice moc, and it deserves some recognition.

    Host Comments: Although the entry picture might be a little blurry, this was still one of the most accurate mocs in the contest. When you compare it to the reference picture, you can see that there aren't any differences between the two. The head is perfectly accurate, and so is the cannon. If the pictures had been a little nicer, then this entry could've done a lot better in the contest.

    Host Comments: Another one of those extremely accurate mocs, I was dissapointed that this entry didn't get more votes. The body structure, head, and sword are identical to the reference picture, and the trans-orange looks awesome. The custom torso is also quite nice, and I actually like this moc as much as I like Brickeen's Space Pirate.

    Host Comments: This one definitely needs to be mentioned here, mainly because the fact Kanden is almost impossible to build. His color scheme is wierd, (Is it lime green or yellow?) and his head is pretty much impossible to be turned into moc form. Yet, Nitrone 9 was able to make his entry actually look like the real thing. The body is actually the same shape as the real Kanden, and I think the color scheme works here. Overall, a great moc that should've made it to the Finals.

    2. The model must be made from 100% Lego brand pieces. No customized or painted pieces are allowed. A mildly damaged piece is acceptable, but if anything has, for example, been completely snapped in half, it will not be allowed.
     
    3. The model may contain up to approximately 20% System pieces. You don't need to make any exact measurements, just use your best judgement and don't go overboard. BBBC isn't about cramming as many of the biggest System pieces you can find into one model- it's a Bionicle contest.
