  1. OOC: I'll just assume Soli was talking to me. IC: Isfel turned to see Soli. "Oh, I'm not looking for a sword. Just a dagger. Actually, I could live with just some repairs on my current sword."IC: Kamaehu walked into the Lavapool Inn. He had kept his pace fast enough so as not to be seen by Ara'kas and Hasil. Now he left his halberd by the door, and sat down in one of the near corners.
  2. IC: Isfel walked into the store and started to look through the dagger-like implements. He hoped they would have one he liked, as he knew a custom forged blade was be expensive.IC: "To bury one's one is never a pleasant task, no matter how gloriously they died." Ara'kas noted. "As you were there, does Po-Koro stand still, or is it destroyed?"
  3. IC: Kamaehu quickly recognized Hasil starting to move towards him. Not yet. The thought rang through his mind, and so he turned, walking calmly, yet briskly towards the Lavapool Inn.IC:"So, what exactly did you do in Po-Wahi, Hasil?" Ara'kas asked. She had heard news of a rahkshi attack some time ago and was wondering what had happened to the village.
  4. IC(Isfel): Isfel tapped Stronin lightly on the shoulder. "About the daggers, can I just go into the store and look?" He shrugged again, looking back at Avya and Nikaron. "I don't mean to sound impatient, but there are people behind me."IC(Kamaehu): Behind Hasil and Ar'kas, too far to be noticed, but close enough to watch, stood a Toa of Fire. He had seen some of the duel, but not all of it. Impressive, Hasil's skill. I've told him before it would be an honor to test my strength against his, I might enact that soon. But not now.For now, I'll continue to watch. He thought, filing away Hasil's fighting style and tactics. OOC: Kal, I had an Ara'kas post a couple of pages back, in case you feel like responding to that.
  5. IC:"Wherever you like." said Ara'kas. "You 'won' after all."IC: Isfel shrugged. "I think that's all. Actually,on second thought, can I look through your daggers?
  6. IC: Ara'kas' eyes noted the dagger catch. It was rather impressive. "Well, when you put it that way, how can I say no?" She smiled and sheathed her sword. "Itlooks like you have regained some measure of skill, or it least a large amount of luck. It'll do either way."
  7. IC: The dagger hadn't quite been overlooked. Having ricocheted several times, it had nowhere near enough force to punch through Ara'kas' armor. instead, it slammed into her back, putting a dent into the armor. As a final Calix aided maneuver, she rolled to her feet, catching the dagger from where it had fallen. Ara'kas stood and twisted, the dagger now in her hands. "You've had your turn. Now let's see what I can do." With that, she stepped forward, sending the dagger on a straight path for Hasil's stomach.IC: Isfel started to lean against the wall of the shop. "So Stronin, what's it like working here?" He asked.
  8. IC: Isfel winked at Stronin. It was a favored gesture of his, even though it was easily confused for a blink. "See, that's the thing. I don't what those two want. As for me, I already have a sword." He paused, taking out his greatsword to show Stronin. "It's pretty good quality, but it could use some repairs. How much will that cost me?"
  9. IC: Ara'kas watched the knife throw unfold. Impressive, but not good enough. Hasil heard an odd startling sound. Ara'kas was laughing. It's funny, really, how people take certain masks for granted. Take the Calix for example. Called by many the Mask of Agility, able to passively increase your abilities some. But it can do far more. Feats of extreme athleticism, that none could accomplish unaided. If one knows how to use it correctly, it truly lives up to its real name; the Mask of Fate. With those thoughts in her mind, Ara'kas lunged forward, her sword aimed to go right through Hasil's neck. The orb of fire was left behind her, exploding within itself as the Toa's concentration left it. Hasil's As'ei flew truely, but it's target was already gone. IC: "Wait just a second." Isfel told Avya, before turning his attention to Stronin. "Hello, My name is Isfel, I'm just a traveler passing by. I assume you work here?"He held out his hand for Stronin to shake."How's it going?"
  10. IC: Isfel let out a relieved sigh. "Oh, I'm Isfel. I'm just a traveler for now, just wandering the island. How 'bout you?"IC: Ara'kas didn't move. Hasil was going to be on the offense this time. "Are you quite finished, or do you expect me to concede still?"
  11. IC: "Do what? Pay for your sword?" Isfel perked up. He hadn't been part of a conversation for almost a week."I don't see why you wouldn't let him. It's dangerous to go around unarmed." Immediately after saying this, he rushed through an apology. "Sorry if I'm butting in to your conversation, I didn't mean to intrude."IC: "Tired already?" Laughed Ara'kas. "Fine then, only one more round." She straightened, holding her sword one-handed at her side, a small orb of flame blossoming at her left palm. Grinning, she raised both palm and orb, letting it hover about a foot in front of her. OOC: It'l explode if you charge into it. Might want to keep that in mind.
  12. IC: Hasil's kick hit, but it merely forced Ara'kas back. Instead of pressing the attack once more, she stepped back further, raising her sword in a defensive position.IC: Isfel chuckled and waved away Stronin's confused hospitality. "It's okay. This rock seems comfortable enough. Besides, I don't mind the wait."
  13. IC: Ara'kas wrenched her sword out of the ground, swinging it upwards in the same motion. The flat of her blade caught Hasil's, and for one brief moment, Ara'kas was being forced down. But then she lowered her left arm, tipping her sword's point downward. Hasil's blade slid along her swords length, his momentum carrying it into the ground. Smiling, Ara'kas now tried for the open chop to the head. It was out there on a platter again, after all.IC: Isfel stood near what he now knew was a forge. However, it seemed to be busy, so he decided he would wait to come in and ask for directions. Although, on the other hand, his sword could use some repair.
  14. IC: Ara'kas twisted her body, the as'ei glancing off her armor. The combatants' blades were still locked together, but now Hasil's arm would be at a quite awkward angle. But what was more important was that Ara'kas' left hand was now free, and the flames engraved on her gauntlet were glowing.IC: Isfel walked into Ta-Koro, arriving near the Mangai Volcano. A scowled flashed across his face. He had lost his trail, the hustle and bustle of the city wiping it clean away. But then Isfel's face cleared, believing that his target can't be far away, as he was at least in the same Koro.
  15. IC: The invitation was quite clear, but Ara'kas didn't bite. Instead, she sidestepped, taking a swing at Hasil's arm. She knew it would not be a incapacitating blow, but the wound would start to wear him down.
  16. IC: I'm gone. I'll return when the school is ready, or at least when I'm ready. the words were etched on a scrap of paper stuck to Vernadon's door. Isfel's room was bare, all traces of him living there neatly removed. The young warrior was already halfway to Ta-Koro, attempting to track the trail of a Toa long gone. He has to be there. There can't be anywhere else he would go. Ta-Wahi is his home. No one, even a legendary warrior, can resist their home's call.OOC: Isfel to Ta-koro.
  17. OOC: Ah, but I might have help coming.Except for the fact that I don't.IC: Ara'kas smiled, and walked an additional twenty paces away, before drawing her longsword and turning."Then let's begin, shall we?"
  18. IC: "Oh, really. You're fine, healed, cured." Ara'kas grinned sanguinely."Then let's just see for ourselves how fine you are. Maybe this time we won't be uninterrupted."
  19. OOC: I could not find any record of me ever posting as kamaehu in Ko-Wahi, so I'll just pretend he came back... or something.IC: Ara'kas had let Hasil's earlier barb slip by. A pity, but not unrectifiable. As he stood talking to Briana, she called out to him."See, talking. That's something you can do.Not everything fun can get you killed."
  20. It's this time again. Time for me to get online more often, and thus proclaim: What happened while I was gone?Time froze for everything related to a character I control, right? Right?
  21. IC: "You're still in no shape to go chasing power-drunk toa." Ara'kas had grabbed Hasil's shoulder, stopping him from following the others. "Stay and protect the womenfolk or something."
  22. OOC: Kamaehu from Ta-Wahi.IC: A rush of wind enveloped the trio, followed by a voice. "I figured I might as well come with you three for this." Called down Kamaehu, Calaras hovering low in the air. "Anyone want a ride?"
  23. IC: A lead, eh? Let's see how much fire I've got left. With a word to halt Ara'kas, Kamaehu slipped out of the inn, calling to Calaras so he could catch up to Angelus and Jikal.OOC: Kamaehu to Po-wahi.
  24. IC: "You may not understand. I'm here to help you." He smiled, but not his normal, sort of forced smile. This was a grin, full of anticipation, but with a hint of malice. "Angelus might like to know I'll be joining you. A practical suicide mission. It sounds like great fun."
