Jaller Mahri is pretty cool. I think Mata Nui created a unique look, too. I'm impressed by all of the Glatorian designs and their difference from the Toa, despite their Inika builds.
-
I keep my sets in a drawer. Everything is put in slowly and carefully so nothing breaks, but I still find disconnected arms and heads in there....
-
The Mata canisters are pretty cool. I also like the Mahri canisters, as they're used in almost every story I play with my brother. The Barraki ones look awesome, too.
-
I'd probably save Pohatu Mata and Pahrak. I would actually be more concerned about my Hero Factory sets.
-
They're probably official. It's odd how overpriced they are compared to the winter series, but in any case, I'm glad the rest of the heroes are back!
-
Just because Hero Factory ends doesn't mean Bionicle will come back. I agree with Kojol's latter idea-- something like Hero Factory or Bionicle comes along. I'm coming to the age, though, where I might not buy any more sets, so whatever LEGO does, I hope my younger brother likes it!

Wow... I actually really like this guy. I don't know if it's the pictures, but Surge looks pretty cool with all that lime. I wanted to get him for my self-MOC, but I just might keep him how he is.Thanks for the review!

Picked up DOTM Cannon Force Ironhide for $15 at Wal-Mart. While I was looking for the black version, the color scheme is really nice and a great homage to G1.

A unicycle.

Thanks! I tend to keep the Glatorian heads as they are for their glowing-eye effect, but I could try to paint around them. I've actually painted blue eyes on Nex's head, and I'll get a picture of it as soon as I have a good camera.Nex is beautiful. Be sure to do the 4.0/1.0 heads once we get a good look at them. The preview on the HF website shows them, but I can't imagine you can do much with those.

A few more repaints:http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/SpiritOfTime/HF/NexRepaint/nexrepaint_001.jpg (Nex 3.0)http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/SpiritOfTime/Bionicle/MOBCs/Repaints/nitroblast_001.jpg (Nitroblast head)http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/SpiritOfTime/Bionicle/MOBCs/Repaints/nitroblast_002.jpg (Arm)http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/SpiritOfTime/Bionicle/MOBCs/Repaints/nitroblast_005.jpg (Fuel Tank)I love the "ooze" effect I got on Nitroblast's fuel tank-- it's a mixture of roughly 80% water and 20% paint. I used this effect on Raw-Jaw's entire body.

Thanks!
I used acrylic paint, and it took me about an hour.Just out of curiosity, what did you use and how long did it take to repaint it?
-
Thanks, everyone! Sorry if I misplaced this topic.
-
http://www.flickr.co...N05/6566249947/Raw-Jaw is now my favorite repaint and probably my favorite HF set. Everything is done in acrylic. What do you think? I might post my other repainted sets soon.

Really? I wonder how many Game Points that would give you. Anyway, I'm really excited about this game! With any luck our Recon Team heroes can be uploaded into the game to play.Just noticed something for the upcoming online game: like this year's creep crushers games no purchase necessary is needed to obtain the codes, just ask customer service for one.

I like this set. The colors don't bother me at all, and I think he looks fine with an open fist. Thanks for the review.

I don't know.... It looked like they took care of BP, but I have a feeling that's not the end of his reign. If it was... then that was a very bad move on TLG's part.Did Lego just reveal the climax to the entire Hero Factory project in one two minutes and five seconds long move?
-
I was thinking the same thing. I loved the 1.0 Hero designs and I really wished they continued it for one more series. If only they could've given the figures more joints without changing their armor styles.
-
I loved the Fire Lord thugs-- I'm definitely not against using reversible helmets. It's just that this purple guy has BP's same helmet and I doubt LEGO would reuse it in another set, especially for villain sets. Thanks for the new pictures, Dorek! Those CGI shots look amazing. I'm tempted to paint my sets when I get them, to give them that shiny-ness.
So I'm guessing you did not like the Fire Lord's thugs?I'm more interested in the villains that have original molds.
-
Man, after seeing that trailer I want Rocka! I love how he steps in like "I'm here, and I'm ready to rock!"I doubt the purple villain will be a set-- he's got a gunmetal Black Phantom helmet. I'm more interested in the villains that have original molds.

Thanks for the review! Toxic Reapa is officially my favorite villain this year. I love the black-and-lime color scheme, and his torso build is amazing, and his face looks great.... He's like Corroder's little brother! I will definitely pick him up.That combiner looks awesome! I'm surprised. Maybe it's worth getting more than one set just to build the combiners.

Just saw the Ninjago: Rise of the Snakes premier and it was awesome. Being an animation geek I was really impressed by the ninja moves. But what I like most is that it's expanding Ninjago's storyline. The characters are becoming more developed and now I'm being pushed to buy the sets (which isn't a bad thing at all ). Zane got his feature episode and I loved it-- he's always been my favorite. Can't wait for the series!
-
Couldn't agree more! Because of the Savage Planet movie, Nex is definitely my favorite hero. I like his personality and I hope the other movies will expand on the other characters like this.I need a Breez!!"Tell Breez I loved her"And just like that Nex secured his place as my favorite hero forever.

When I buy a set, I'm not just buying a figure, but also a character. I keep up with the Hero Factory storyline and I like to see how the characters develop; sometimes this makes me want one set over another. There are some Bionicle sets that I want because they are a really cool character in the story.

I always liked the Sand Stalker, made from Malum and Fero & Skirmix.
