So the C key on my computer's keyboard had a nice trip through my house's central vacuum, but I got it back.

That is all I have to say on the matter.

If I die, please don't let anyone make a cheesy Facebook status about me -- especially years after the fact. I mean, I'll accept an online death announcement, but nothing more.

Maybe a statue in a park, but that's it!

I just can't stand the thought of someone else getting fake internet points from my death. It's outrageous, disrespectful, and it cheapens my life to appear associated with the kind of person who does that. No one wants to read about how so-and-so was your best friend, and you miss them now. That's depressing and sad. Go find a new best friend and make better Facebook posts!

Also I think I might like to get that thing where they turn your corpse into a tree. Look it up; someone Shared it to me on Facebook.

I just thought of something today. As certain technologies, like text to speech and dictation programs, get more advanced, will our society someday evolve beyond the need for literacy? What do we even use literacy for these days anyway?

    -Reading signs.
    -Sending letters and emails.
-Reading and writing books, articles, magazines, etc.
    -Chatting online.

As computers become more and more advanced, a lot what is written could instead be dictated to a computer, which would then filter out the stuttering, pauses, and mistakes and turn it into a more polished version which could then be transmitted to other computers that would play the message. For signs, autonavigation systems in your cars or hovercrafts would be doing all the driving anyway, so you wouldn't have to worry. When chatting with multiple people at once, a feed of various sound bites appears, which you can select one at a time to prevent everyone from talking at once as well as offering you the option to replay their messages.

Am I missing something or could this be our next technological leap?

Pohatu: Well, it appears that Lesovikk may have killed the ruler of the Matoran underworld.

Kopaka: If you ask me... this is one heck of a crime. B)

So after the party on the 26th, I pretty much just spent time with my family at home (although we did go bowling once and I won ) until Saturday, where we all went to the airport for the second leg of our vacation. We spent a night in Buffalo and then we drove to the airport and caught a plane to Baltimore. From there, we hopped another plane and reached Tampa Airport in the late afternoon. The rest of the week was just spent visiting Busch Gardens, going to the beach, swimming in the pool, and lazing about the condo we had rented on Anna Maria Island (on the far west side of the state, about half of the way down). I had a fantastic time, and I beat Maze of Shadows (overall, a pretty neat game). Saturday rolled around and we went back the same route we had come and arrived back home at around midnight.

Now it's back to school for me.

So I wanted to be a master of Pokémon, but did I have the skills to be number one? I wanted to take the ultimate step and find the courage to be bold; to risk it all and not forget the lessons that I hold. I wanted go where no one's been, far beyond the crowd, learn the way to take command and use the power that was in my hand. You see, in a sense, we all live in a Pokémon world.

Because everybody wants to be a master, everybody wants to show their skills, everybody wants to get there faster, make their way to the top of the hill. Each time you try, gonna get just a little bit better and each step you climb is one more step up the ladder.

Deep down inside, I have always felt that my whole life has led to this, that it was time to test my skills. I knew I just couldn't miss, that I was going to show the world.

And so when I finalized my team and entered the Battle Chateau, I knew that there was no time to question my moves. I had to stick to the path that I choose. My friends and I were going to do it right, and you would never see us run away from a fight. To be the master was my dream, and all I had to do was believe.

When I got Pokémon Yellow for my 10th birthday, I was just a kid from Pallet Town with a brand new world to see. I didn't know what was ahead, but it wouldn't get the best of me. There was so much to learn and battles to be won. I've advanced so far but still there's always more to come.

Now, every trainer has a choice to listen to that voice inside. I knew the battle might be long, winners may have come and gone, but
I was going to carry on!

Facing so many NPC trainers made it feel like I was walking down this endless highway, with nothing but my friends beside me. But we would never give in, we would never rest. These battles were the ultimate test.

And as they say, it's a battle, win or lose. It's the friends you make, it's the road you choose. I had the right stuff, and I made my mind up to find the courage inside myself.

And really, Pokémon is it's all about the challenges. Each time it's a brand new game and a brand new world, with new rivals as you fight for survival.

I was on a road, far from home, but I didn't have to feel alone.

    And uh

Okay, I didn't really watch the show past this point.

    But yeah.

    I FREAKING DID IT!!

I defeated Nita, Evelyn, Dana, and Morgan in 50 consecutive battles. They have built statues in my honour and I am the Hoenn Region's undisputed Pokémon Champion.

The Triple Battle was by far the most difficult for me, but in the end I managed to push through with an unstoppable wall of Rhyperior, Eelektross, and Electivre, supported by Dragonite, Mega Aggron, and Vaporeon. The secret to these things is just to fill your team with tanks and take each and every hit on the chin.

Now, beating Dana is nice and all, but the game was not willing to give up the victory without a fight.

If you've done any of the Battle Tower, etc. style battles, you'll know that randomly you can get trainers near the end who use legendary Pokémon. It's totally random, though. Sometimes you don't get any. Sometimes you only get one.

    SOMETIMES YOU GET THREE

AND SOMETIMES YOU GET HIT BY FREEZE HAX TWICE

But I still came out on top.

    It feels so incredibly good.

And now to wait patiently for Sun and Moon so I can do it all again.

So this morning my dad got ready for work as usual and went into the garage only to come back inside a few minutes later to report that it had been broken into last night. Some loose change was missing along with random things like a pair of gloves he kept in his car.

Now here's the annoying part: I probably could've stopped this.

My room is right by the garage and as I was up late on the computer, I thought I heard a noise like the side door to the garage opening, but I just dismissed it as the wind. I debated checking it out, but I just assumed that my mind was playing tricks on me. I also probably could've taken the guy since I'm a six foot tall, seventy kilogram, nineteen year old male and there are a variety of weapons I had access to that I could have defended myself with that I had easy access to (a wooden baseball bat and an aluminum cane to name a few).

Right now I'm all jittery with adrenaline thinking "what if I'd gone to check".

And like, nothing important was stolen, we literally keep nothing of value in the garage apart from our cars, but it's just the principle of it all. I live in a supposedly low-crime suburban neighbourhood; people and possessions are supposed to be safe at night. Whoever the thief was, he clearly needed the money more than we did, but all the same, stealing isn't something I condone.

All I can say is, whoever did this better watch themselves. Fool me once, shame on... shame on you. Fool me -- you can't get fooled again.

Well, it might be the end of BIONICLE, but it's not the end of me.

For those who have been wondering whether I'm coming out with a new Flash video or writing anything else after my comedy, the answer is yes, but they won't to be about BIONICLE.

I plan to still create stuff, but I think it's high time I started making something a little more original than the BIONICLE-based projects I've saddled myself with these past six years. I'll try to keep you guys updated on what I'm up to, but at this point all I can say is that there is stuff on the way, but it isn't BIONICLE-related.

Now return to your chaotic panic about the end of the world.

    Greetings, blog readers.

I would like to make this entry today as a call to arms against the RPG forum. For too long it has been ruled by dull, rule-bound games with massive walls of text. No one wants to read an entire novel if they want to play a roleplay game! Recently, I entered the RPG contest with a very short entry and there was outrage. And why should there be? I didn't break any of the rules and for once you didn't need three hours just to read the darn thing.

So if you hate reading massive walls of text, if you want to revolutionize the RPG forum, if you want to annoy the hardcore RPGers, or if you like following me blindly, then VOTE FOR ME.

(I'm entry 6, by the way)

So we lost just about six months there. Six months, though... sound familiar? That's right, the Time Slip. So look carefully, guys. There could be Av-Matoran in your midst!

Anyway, I didn't lose too much. Sure, the BIONICLE In Under 1:30 topic filled with people telling me how awesome I am was deleted, but there's a new version now. Also, praise the Great Spirit Makuta that I finished Wildfire on September 20th so that I didn't lose anything (all the same, I'm saving all my fanfics now). The BRC took a pretty bad hit, but I got a Google cache of the timeline, so I just need to convert that to BBCode and I'll be all set. Lastly, in a strikingly amazing bout of good fortune, the Mantax Facts PSA topic is now alive again so feel free to post there if you have not done so already.

So yeah, that's all I have to say about that.

    Also, this is Entry 100.

Alas, another year has gone by and we have more or less survived our hazardous journey.

"A journey to where?" you ask.

"Not where," I chide you. "When."

"What madness is this?" you cry.

"MADNESS?!" I reply. "THIS IS DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME!"

Get out your Vahi, kids. It's time to travel one hour into the future for Daylight Savings Time! (Goodbye, my extra sleep. ) Sadly, the board's automatic DST update doesn't work for me so I had to change it manually. Make sure you check this too.

Also, turns out that in my Burn Stuff PSA, March 31st (i.e. the day "Burn Stuff" was created) was during EDT, not EST. Oops.

Treespeak on the Air (the Podcast I run) does not often have good luck. For instance, what's holding me back from putting up the next two shows is the fact that because I wasn't able to get my computer to record the episodes, I had to get Dr. Bionicle to record them for me. Unfortunately, the files are stuck on his computer because his e-mail is broken and they're too big to send through any other media. I hope he fixes it soon, I really feel bad about keeping everyone waiting.

So I actually had a really good April 1st, but I worry that no one will believe me.

The day began with an interview with the voice of Umarak. That guy is a total riot. I don't want to spoil too much from that interview, but it's definitely worth listening to when it comes out in a few weeks.

Then I had an amazing game of Civilization: Beyond Earth -- Rising Tide wherein the massive Korean navy totally demolished anything it ran into. The Americans were destroyed by giant lobsters.

And to cap things all off, I won first prize in a Harry Potter trivia contest.

All in all, it was a very good day, just not a good day to have it on.

That's right, folks, I've been hit with the classic sitcom conundrum of wanting to be two places at the same time. If anyone had a Time Turner or fast car they'd be willing to lend me, that'd be great.

Alright, here are two things that have been bugging me lately in how people are speaking incorrectly.

    1) Know your past participles.

What is a past participle? That's the word that goes after the axillary (usually some form of the verb "to have") in tenses that describe the past.

For instance, "I have seen thousands of cars in my lifetime". The word "seen" is the past participle.

Some common slip ups I've noticed lately:

-To beat => I have beaten NOT I have beat
-To bite => I have bitten NOT I have bit

Now, this may be confusing because some verbs like "to hit" do not change (I have hit), so keep an eye out for these.

    2) Use the subjunctive when applicable.

The bane of most second language classes: the subjunctive mood. It isn't very common in English, but it is still something you need to look out for.

Basically, in English, we use 3 moods.

    1) Indicative: a simple statement or question. E.g. Bob goes to the store.
    2) Imperative: a command. E.g. Bob, go to the store!
    3) Subjunctive: a statement contrary to fact, a wish, or a mandative statement. E.g. I wish I were an Oscar Meyer wiener.

This is really only visible when using a singular subject with the verb "to be". It is incorrect to say "I wish I was an Oscar Meyer wiener" despite the fact that "was" usually refers to the singular subject, but in the indicative, you use the plural form of the verb, "were".

So yeah, follow those rules of speech and I won't go insane.
  17. SPIRIT
    1) Did you see Heroes last night? Well, I have the same headphones as Hiro.

    2) Have you ever seen Family First on the Canadian Family Channel? Well, I know the female host.

That's right, those two random connections to television make me cooler than you. B)

So I'm watching the newsfeed at the bottom of the TV broadcast when I see this headline about an Underwater Thief being caught. Which, really, is just about the coolest way to steal something.

But then I looked again and it actually said Underwear Thief. Much less cool.

So would that be a reverse Freudian Slip?
  19. SPIRIT
It's been nearly a month since I've last updated my blog so I think it's high time I bring you back up to speed. Since I last posted here, I've seen Over the Hedge, Cars, and Casino Royale; all great movies that I recommend seeing. I've also been hard at work getting sounds and music off of the BIONICLE DVDs and I just finished recording everything I need from LoMN (almost 2/3 of the way there!). My report card came a few days ago, not the best one I've ever gotten, but still pretty good just the same. It's been snowing recently, but it really hasn't been collecting in large enough amounts to be of any use. From what I've heard on the news, it seems like everyone's getting snow except me; I hope I won't have another green Christmas this year.

And now you're up to speed.
  20. SPIRIT
Being at the end of high school, I am on the verge of explosion.

I have Independent Study Units, tests, and other large projects piling up that are all rapidly reaching their deadlines. Why, come this Tuesday, I will have had to have had [is this actual grammar??? ] handed in two pages on a How To book for Writer's Craft and my script writing project; done a test in Biology on the human sensory system; and presented in History on a piece of 19th century literature.

Not only that, but people want me to finish off PSA#5 and Wildfire, which I'd MUCH rather do than that school work. Problem is, only the latter affects my ability to go to university. Understandably, there may be delays in my BZP stuff, but I'll try to get it done as fast as possible without going completely insane. Already I've gotten all the lines I need from Bioni-Cool Jack and a promise from Lady Kopaka that she'll get right on it. Now all I need is stuff from Rayg, Cee, and -CL- and we should be good to go.
  21. SPIRIT
So as I am still in France and Canada's got a federal election coming up, I got a mail-in ballot sent to my apartment. Turns out that to send it in, I put my ballot in an envelope, in an envelope, in an envelope. It's like Inception by mail!
