  1. "That's Master Chief Petty Officer of the Marine Corps Lanora. Also known by her title of 'The Merciless'. She's the highest ranking NCO in the entire Corps and outranks anyone not an officer. In this case myself and Nuraka as we're Midshipwomen and Kalama and Kali as they're Commissioned Officers. She's also Hotu's mother as well as Lei's adoptive mother when Lei's birth mother was killed in the Second Great Tarakava Raid and Lei was orphaned." Maya said."Lanora has two other children, Thessa, her eldest daughter, who is in command of Rock Wall and the biggest Matoran alive standing on equal height of that of Turaga Onewa of Po-Koro. Dren is a Ta-Koroan, equal size to Hotu as you've seen is about the same size as Vakama, and her son who's part of the Ta-Koroan Elite Guard. Their father was a Ta-Koroan who was killed in the Battle of the Charred Forest. He died in Lanora's arms." Kalama said."It's odd," Nuraka said. "Both Lanora and her husband were normal sized Matoran but all of their children are larger than normal."Lanora ordered both Corporals on their feet and laughed as Lei and Hotu explained what they've been doing while Rogue."She's only like this around her kids." Kali said. "Otherwise she's pure business and won't hesitate to bite your head off if you give her a reason to."Lanora turned to Xibre. "Holy Kanohi who is this little pile of lazy attitude?" She snapped. Sniffing she said, "Phew! You ever bathe? You smell like something a Braka threw!" Rounding on Sisk she examined him closely."Kalama why is there a Gukko Force Tamer saluting me?"Kalama shrugged. "I didn't ask.""Do I look like an Officer to you Gukko?" She snapped at Sisk. "Three up and three down with a ship's wheel! DOES THAT LOOK LIKE AN OFFICER'S RANK TO YOU?" She snarled in his face. The Marines just watched with smiles as Lanora started to get rev'ved up.
  2. Kylina looked at Skyra with a hard look."And why should I care about hunting down something that doesn't exist? I don't go chasing rumors."
  3. Or we just drop Tawk on top of them while letting him do his rendition of "I've been working on the Railroad."Well... it would work on one of them at least.
  4. The Matoran with the club leaped upward to hit Nala riding the bucking Toa easily.Nala stared him down...... and jumped straight off as the Matoran attempted to club her. The Matoran struck the Toa in the head stunning him. Added by the force of Nala back flipping off the Toa he fell forward trapping two of the Matoran underneath him.Nala waggled a finger with a sly grin on her face. "Mh-mh-MMMM..." she said before racing off across the field. She lunged forward rolling before leaping through the air.She twisted almost in slow motion before Kuyre's eyes as the arrow zipped under her back heading right for Vester meaning to be more of a distraction if anything. She winked at the Dark Toa coyly as she went by.Following this she landed on her hand before doing a hand spring landing with her thighs around another Toa's head who was trying to get the drop on Alrin.CRACK!With a swift twist of her hips she snapped his neck before gracefully sliding off the body of the Toa to stand back to... back of the legs with Alrin."I've never understood why." She said. The Tryna user reanimated the Toa who's neck she just broke."If I've killed them once, what makes them think a second time is the charm?"
  5. Xavier gave Skyra a hard look."...Convince Kylina to join you and we'll follow her." He said nodding to the door. "She's probably out at one of the high rise platforms at the top of the tree."
  6. "....What of it?" Harka said in a deadpan tone as his lifeless infected colored eyes turned on the strange creature.
  7. That's exactly what I was getting at. The staff don't need to post advance warnings. It should be common sense to view and read all staff posts when you see them.If you want to get involved then you need to see the recruiter for each side this week so I can keep the fights straight.I don't mind anyone making debuts but if you intend to do that you need to send me a message with the names of the characters at the very least and what side they're on. Otherwise you'll be treated as a non registered combatant and attacked by both sides.
  8. "There's far more lurking underwater." Kalama said. "By the looks of things we'll see some underwater fighting as well.""Like they could bring enough to even scratch Ga-Koro." Hotu said cracking her knuckles."MASTER CHIEF ON DECK!" Juno barked causing the lower enlisted to snap to. Even Tanuka seemed to get into it startled by sudden outburst."At ease! Good to see you ladies back in town! Was beginning to think Kalama had executed you lot." She looked at Tanuka."When did we start growing them THAT size?" Lanora asked Kali."I believe you started that trend." Kali said grinning returning Lanora's salute along with the other officers."Shut up 'Slicer' Ma'am. That was a rhetorical question.""Oh? Now I see where the Corporal get's her mouth from 'Merciless'." Kali teased back.Lanora looked at Hotu. "Master Chief?" Hotu inquired."Shut up and come give your mother a hug Hotu." Hotu scooped up the smaller Matoran and hugged her tightly."MMmmmMMM! Have you gotten bigger Corporal?" Lanora asked as Hotu put her down."Just a little." Hotu said."Good. My babies need to be big and strong to look after themselves when their mother gets too old for this.""LANORA!" Lei attempted to tackle hug Lanora who caught the Matoran and spun her. Lei laughed happily. "WHEEEEE!!!""Ah there's my smaller bloodthirsty mongrel of a ray of sunshine! Been keeping this mouthy sister of yours safe?""Yup! Yup!" Lei said bouncing around Lanora."And you?" Lanora asked Hotu."Duh?" Hotu said."Drop and start pushing."Hotu quickly fell over and started cranking out push up."Lei?""Rodger Master Chief!" Lei happily dropped next to Hotu and started pushing in sync with her."You still haven't fixed her mouth sir." Lanora said to Kalama."I like it on the setting it's broken on." Kalama said. "It's fun watching you get talked to like that.""It will be the death of her.""But not before she takes death with her."
  9. It's like saying "At least it's not Raining!"Or even worse. "I'M INVINCIBLE!"Mine's is a special event that requires preparation and planning as well as being a one shot NStephanH. I make announcements about it because it's required in order to generate publicity to assure attendance. No players interested I may as well not run it.Staff have the unique ability of being recognized on sight and you should always check out what they've posted. It's common sense as that will lead up to having a sense of what they may do next allowing you to be in the proper place at the proper time. How else do you think I got up to my neck as well as being tasked to oversee the saving of most of the Chronicler's Company when it was time to remove them from play?
  10. Xavier laughed again."It's that same pride that keeps us from paying attention to their actives." He said. "They want their pilots to be looked up to as the best. That's why they don't give any of the Irregulars the good missions like taking point and leading the way or those that get the job done." He tapped Lans's foremask. "You need to stop thinking like a Regular. You're an Irregular now. Our job is to wait until we're summoned to take the fall for a Regular's pilot to grab the glory.""Go for the gold!" Tawk announced."Winning point!" Mawl said."The right place at the right time!""Proud and strong!""Head held high!""Beloved by every Ga-Matoran!""We are none of these things.""We're the downtrodden-""-forgotten-""-doomed flakmeat-""-who never shine-""-in the limelight."Xavier gave Lans a kind smile. "Sorry mate but that's our fate. We don't mind really. So long as Le-Koro still stands hey, we've done our job. We might as well have a little fun with what time we got left. Who but Mata-Nui knows when our time comes..."He pointed to the wall."...and that is all that remains of us? Just a name on a wall that in time, it's purpose will be forgotten and nobody will recall you?""I'd rather go out with my boots on." Tawk said."I wanna go out flipping off Whenua." Mawl said."...Bro that's just sad.""TO KARZ WITH THE MAN! REVOLUTION! REVOLUTION I SAY!"
  11. "...Uh-ohhhhh..." Tawk started."...Somebody just taunted Kylinaaaaaa..." Mawl sang-songed."And she looks mighty TIIIIIIIIICIIIIIIIICKEEEEED." They chorused in sync. They both put one hand on each of Lans's shoulders."Well Lans..." Tawk said."It's been nice knowin' ya but..." Mawl continued."Nobody tants Kylina like that and survives the pummeling.""We be sure to send flowers to your funeral.""Do you prefer tulips, daisies, or roses?""Is you will up to date?""Do you want to be buried or cremated?"They didn't have a chance to continue as Kylina, a furious look on her face, grabbed Lans by the arm and yanked, dragging him off."Too late!" The Onu-twins said."Come on you two." Xavier said. "He'll survive, let's just make sure she doesn't finish him off."-------Lans's head made contact with a wall inside the quarters of the 4th Irregular's Squad."Take a good. LONG. LOOK." Kylina hissed as she pressed his head against the wall. She pulled him back long enough for him to get a glimpse of what she wanted him to see.It was a name. Looking at the wall he could see 155 total.Kylina slammed his head back against it."THOSE are the names of EVERY Irregular we have ever fought with and died! EVERY IRREGULAR. You don't know how each of them died because nobody cares about us! We're the bloody Flakmeat in this force! Every name you see on this wall gave their LIVES to defend this Koro and the glorious shining pilots of the Regulars because they cared! Half those pilots you see today OWE their continued lives to someone on this list!"She turned him over and forced up against the wall getting in his face."I serve the Irregulars because they wouldn't have a non-Le-Matoran in the Regulars. Otherwise I'd be with the Marines. So don't you DARE tell me I don't care about anyone!" She snarled. She dropped him to the ground and stormed past the other four as they entered.Xavier helped Lans up."She didn't hurt you too bad did she?" He chuckled. "Kylina is one of the most spirited passionate people I've had the pleasure of knowing. When she does something, she devotes her whole life to it. She survived the Third Great Tarakava Raid, the worst of them all, because her best friend at the time gave her life to save Kylina's."Helping Lans to one of the couches that had definitely seen better days he continued. "It haunts her still. She has vowed never again to lose someone like that. If she did, she would remember them. Nobody in the Gukko Force knows what we do because nobody will remember what the Flakmeat sacrificed for the Pilots to achieve. Well... not quite true. We remember them because nobody wants to be forgotten."
  12. Nala looked around spotting the three Matoran and Toa bearing down on her."Oh ganging up on the girl. How classy fella's."Bringing up the trench knives she grinned."As it so happens, I'm a classy woman."The Matoran moved first, their clubs raised to beat down the Marine who'd made the move. As they fell upon her, Nala ducked and slid backwards as the weapons crashed to the ground. Twirling she deflected the short sword the third one had on her downward. This Matoran proved to be stronger than she was yanking the blade up in an ascending diagonal slash. Nala again parried the blade stepping backwards as the Matoran pressed his advantage. The blades rang against each other as the Matoran forced Nala backwards. The Matoran slashed downward vertically, Nala parried with a vertical with one blade before swiping with the right following through. Her opponent raised the grip bringing the blade straight up and down blocking Nala's swipe.Lowering it again he spun it right way around and came with another diagonal slash. Nala leaned backwards slightly just enough so that it whiffed past her.One of the clubs recovered and brought the weapon around trying to horizontally club the Matoran. As it came around, Nala leaped into the air cartwheeling over it using the club as leverage as she grabbed it.Alrin's knife buzzed a hair's width away past her Kanohi, Nala didn't even flinch as it shot back before sinking into the throat of a Vortixx past her.She twisted in mid-air sailing over the blade of the Toa that joined the fray. One foot made contact with his arm and that was all she needed to reverse her mid air travel and launch herself toward his shoulders.Landing lightly on the Toa's shoulders she stood high and tall on them. The Vortixx with her last dying gasp flung the dart with all the strength she could muster at the highly visible target.TING!Nala deflected it with the edge of her knife sending the dart downward at one of the Matoran. He raised his club and it sunk into the club harmlessly. The Toa shook himself trying to get the infernal Ga-Matoran off him.
  13. "We're Irregulars. We don't care about what the Regulars do." Kylina said watching the match finish. "Besides, when have you ever seen a Gukko take off from an airstrip when it was under attack? It just flies straight up right away.""The airstrips are only used when coordinating air strikes among Wings." Xaiver said. "So the Vinesmen can load and launch with the Nui-Kopen already in formation along with their escorts. Otherwise we just summon the birds and dive off the nearest edge. Much easier to respond to an attack that way. Advantage of having a living thinking creature as a mount instead of some machinery."
  14. "They do make good shock troops that for sure. Second to none at least." Xavier agreed."Not to mention they're HOT!" Tawk said.Mawl howled before laughing in agreement.
  15. Xavier chuckled. "A convincing deception if it weren't true. In our line of work we take nothing for face value when it acts in a hostile manner. Especially when it does so to one of our own.""No Irregular survives on his own." Maw said."Everyone survives together." Tawk picked up. "The golden rule of the Irregulars is-""-never leave one of your own behind." Mawl finished."No one fights alone." The Onu-twins chorused."To threaten one Irregular, even by glaring at one of them, is to threaten to his entire squad." Xavier said before shrugging. "But I'm sure you didn't really mean anything. Easy come, easy go. We're not Guardsmen or Marines. They'd all jump you without a second thought if you looked at 'em funny."
  16. OOC: Well you certainly jumped the gun guys.IC: Lei giggled at Sisk's line."The Civil Defense Force will be doing the evacuations." Kali said. "Our job is to prepare for siege. This isn't even the entire Marine Corps ether. There are still plenty of Marines out at the Rocks. A lot of them are underwater at the minute checking the supports and air lines for the pumps." She gestured out at the boats. "Only half of the Corps are land based. The other half is Naval. Since we're the only ones with the boats we pretty much make up the whole Navy, like the Gukko Force is the only aerial force."Kalama came wandering back up."Verdict?" Kali asked."Worse." Kalama said. "Kotu swears she spotted Harka."Kali hissed in displeasure."What's so bad about Harka?" Lei asked."It's personal." Kali said though she was still fuming in some displeasure looking like she'd wanted to gut someone."He is a premiere eye of the Shadows." Juno said."Think of him like Maktua's version of Kalama." Maya said. "Just as skilled in every way and gets better with each encounter.""I wouldn't say he's me." Kalama said. "Though he seems to have some kind of unhealthy fascination of being my opposite. As well as for Kali."Lei gave Kali a strange look."I don't want to talk about it."-------The lone Matoran stood half hidden by the brush. In the distance he could see the floating village of Ga-Koro. He stood there quietly observing the activity going on.It was a useless gesture. Attacking a village that responded so rapidly to threat. There was no possible way his Master could hope to sink this town of peace loving girls when their more bloodthirsty sisters streamed to get a piece of the fighting to be had.He had made this observation quietly and has been rebuked by the Master of Shadows ever present in his mind. He understood the significance of the action however and simply obeyed. It may have been useless but it served a purpose. Like all things must.Just as he served a purpose. As a foil to a certain Matoran that for some reason, evaded his Master's reach. That was why he was created. He could follow where the Master could not. He ran his fingers lightly over the sharp end of one of the blades he carried, testing the edge as he smiled to himself. It was serviceable. He thought to his purpose. To allow the one holding his mind to understand what it was that would block his power. It was unacceptable. He allowed what little mind he held of his own to wander. He wondered if that Goddess of Blades was down there.
  17. "Now now! Can't we all just get-"PWHOOMPH!Nala vanished just as one of the Skakdi's vision powers passed right through where she'd been standing. The Skakdi's throat suddenly opened up and he fell to the ground clutching at it gurgling as the blood flowed out of the sudden cut.Nala stood up from where she'd dropped off his back, one of her knives bathed in blood."I DO NOT appreciated being interrupted." She hissed.
  18. "YOINK!"Tawk's pickaxe found it's way around Lans and drew him back to where the rest of the Squad was standing.Kylina matched Laserbeak's glare."I wouldn't be threatening anyone if I were you. Lans was simply attempting to intervene in what appeared to be an unfair and unmediated fight. You want to pick on him, we'll ALL flatten you."She turned to Lans. "What goes on outside stays there. If this is a premeditated duel with both sides consenting then we have no right to intervene unless..."She turned to Skyra. "Are you on duty Airman?" She asked.
  19. As the Raider's streaked along they threaded their way around another unit making good time back home.Passing under a natural stone archway, more Matoran leaped off it and started running to match the 8 Marine's speed.Another Marine bearing a Captain's rank managed to keep up with Kalama in the lead."There you are sir! Was afraid you were going to miss the fighting!" She laughed."Try and keep up Partil." Kalama grinned. "Never miss one if I could help it! What's Mokea want?" He vaulted a large rock."We're supposed to meet up with her for assignment once we make it back into Ga-Koro.""Figures. She loves to get involved in business eh?""That's what makes her so good right?" Partil slid underneath a fallen tree. "I see you got 7 of your girls. Where's Nala?""Dunno, she'll show up when she needs to. She usually does.""Ya ought to write her up for being AWOL!""She has her reasons and they're good ones. Like I said she has a knack for where she need's to be.""If you say so. Hey you put up with that big mouth Hotu so who am I to question your judgment?""Keep questioning it. It keeps me humble.""Will do sir. Border coming up fast!"OOC: Marines to Ga-Wahi.
  20. GA-KORO DOCKSGA-KORO, 1432 HRSKotu walked up to the Marine who was keeping an eye on the masses of Tarakava floating just outside the blockade. The boats would do little good at keeping the Tarakava out but for the time being they provided a nice early warning."Any change?""None Ma'am. They're just... floating there."Kotu took the telescope and examined for herself."What are you up to?"Another Head Commandant came up. "Ma'am most of the Marines have returned from abroad. We can mount a viable defense if attacked but we can only keep them here for about a week before our former territories are threatened. Unless they attack by then... we'll have no reason to keep them here.""I know Commandant." Kotu said. "Here's hoping they try... wait..." She focused on the beach south as something moving caught her attention."Ma'am?" the Marine asked.Kotu focused on the movement before handing the telescope never breaking eye contact with that one beach."Tell the Marines to prepare for combat and begin evacuation the civilians.""Are we under attack already?" The Commandant asked."No but we will be. Makuta does not send Harka out on wild standoffs. There WILL be an attack.""Aye Aye Ma'am!"
  21. ATTENTION PLAYERS.The Matoran known as "Harka" has been spotted on the southern mouth of Naho Bay.The Tarakava build up is NOT a feint! The Fourth Great Tarakava Raid is upon Ga-Koro.Those wishing to defend Ga-Koro need to seek out 1st Leftenant Jennas in Ga-Koro.Those wishing to sink the village should seek out Harka on the southern beach at the mouth of Naho Bay.You have one week to submit and register yourself with a side. It is advised for those NOT wishing to participate to evacuate Ga-Koro by then or you will be attacked by BOTH sides as you are not a registered combatant. The fight begins 2/19/12.You have been warned.
  22. Maya spun the javelin before replacing it in the holder attached to the back of her bandoleer."I've done far worse than gut someone only to patch them up later. Sadly it's been necessary.""No lie. It's the truth." Hotu said. "Some people get pretty crazy."Lei came back from up ahead."Sir there's another Ghekula unit ahead." Lei said to Kalama. "Partli's Raiders. Captain Partli wants to link up before we cross the border. She's got a message from Mokea.""Wonder what the old Searag wants. Double time Marines.""Aye-Aye Sir!" The Raiders went flying across the snow."Hey! Wait up!" Tanuka hurried along after them.
  23. WHOOSH! THUNK!Maya swatted the Ko-Matoran's blade down into the snow with her javelin before trapping it by the flat on the ground with her foot."I'm not looking forward to how much blood I'm due to see so I'd much prefer it if you didn't do something stupid like try to fight someone while drunk causing us to stop and patch you up." She said her gaze boring into Lashev's eyes. "If I have to I will disable you myself until AFTER I deal with screaming bleeding Marines when I have the stomach to handle whatever your sloshed brain can come up with." She said touching the point of the javelin to his stomach ready to skewer him."DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?" She hissed.
  24. Suddenly Hasil found Lei hanging off him with a determined look on her face mere centimeters away from his own."...I MUST KNOW WHY YOU HAVE SUCH A LONG NAME." She said."Corporal! Down!" Kalama barked."But Kalaaamaaaaa!" She whined."Ye heard yer Commandar Lei! Oof!" Yuni ordered. The Marine reluctantly let go dropping to the ground before flouncing off into the distance.Kalama looked back at Hasil. "Commander Kalama, Kalama's Raiders, 17th Ghekula, and adopted son of Turaga Nokama.""Helm Major Kali, same unit. Executive Officer.""Head Chief Midshipwoman Maya, Field Surgeon and Medic.""Chief Midshipwoman 3rd Class Nuraka, Combat Engineer and premier shipwright of Ga-Koro""Chief Petty Officer Juno.""Goonery Sargant Yuni, Mess Sargant.""Corporal Hotu, Pointwoman. You already met Corporal Lei our scout.... Where's Nala?"The midnight colored Matoran was missing again."Somewhere. She'll likely be back." Kalama said.Tanuka gave Hasil a small bow. "Tanuka, scholar of the Academy of Ga-Koro." The Toa of Water said.
  25. "Relax Lans. We're rather informal here. Nobody in the higher ups cares about us too much." Xavier said."XavIERRRRR!" Kylina snarled from somewhere in the middle of the mass."Alright guys. Let Kylina breath." Xavier said prying the three Matoran loose from the Ga-Matoran who huffed and comprised herself."In any case it's a waiting game. You may as well have some fun until someone notices you and transfers you back over. Won't have any fun once you're a regular again."
