Between the July and August WAMALUG meetings, I shall be displaying some MOCs in my local Lego Store's Window to the Community. Last time (Feb/March 2008) I did Bionicle (note: not all of those are mine), so this time I was thinking I'd do Space. (Unless I really wimp out on time and once again spite the AFOLs and put in Bionicle.) But I've got some pretty cool Space stuff to display. (And I still have a month and a half to make more!) Now, I was thinking of having a big landing pad with a few floors (read: big lego plates spaced about seven bricks high. Nothing too fancy and this would allow MOCs to be displayed and landed). I also want a mecha bay with a mech standing in repair and whatnot, but then I saw how simple Nannan's display was it got me thinking. The only problem is I don't have anything that big (read: a lot of microspace and one-minifiged starfighters mainly) or uniform. (I will have the two clear things like this store has, and I plan on hanging something...somehow.) I guess we'll see in a month. -CF

I recently started a MOC of the Red Star. Just yesterday, I felt a sudden impulse to add a set of big honkin' rocket engines. Now I find out that my independently conceived idea of what the Red Star is... is right on the money. I totally picked that up telepathically. (THE RED STAR IS A *FISH.)

...I joined BZPower! I was going to list off all my accomplishments since then in the BZP and Bionicle world, but I don't quite have time to be self-centered and tooting my own horn right now, so I'll let you fill in the blanks. Here, I'll start you: -April 18, 2003, after some convincing of my parents, I join BZPower after simply browsing the Board since January. (Oooh! Anybody remember the Rahkshi picture a day? That's what got me coming back daily.) 6 Years -CF

I'm trying to explain to my friend why saying Lego with an 's' at the end is incorrect and why one should, instead, say "LEGO Bricks," LEGO Sets," etc, or at the very least "Lego" even though "LEGO" is an adjective (which he does not believe). But Wikipedia and Google aren't helping me find the official explanation. I tried finding it on Lego.com but couldn't. Help please! -CF PS, don't go trying to type out LEGO with an actual 's' following. The filter just corrects it to "LEGO Bricks" for you. Edit: Found an article, thanks to Andrew Becraft. Wow. Making the argument that calling the bricks *Lego with an 's'* instead of Lego bricks' violates the brand comes across as unusually pedantic. Probably a legal necessity, but still not a very consumer-friendly approach. (The article also gave me a link to info on what happened with the Maori way back when. I didn't realize the full extent of what happened. Wow.)

I ordered some along with some other awesome pieces. =3 And yes, that means my order is better than Laka's.

I'm going through Peeron and finding all the sets I have and putting them on the My Sets list. I'm about halfway and this is what I have: Totals: 141 Sets (139 unique), 17,032 Parts, $1,946.5, 92 Minifigs I feel so bad to have spent $2000 on Lego. ;~; And every set I add I remember the specific memories that went with it. However I realize I didn't have that many sets compared to my neighbors. I really missed out on those awesome sets because my neighbors had them. =[

Woe is me. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «New sets are suck. The designers tried to make new body designs but completely failed. Kiina looks like random protrusions, along with most of the rest. Ackar and Gelu are the only good looking ones and they have old body designs. >< Why Lego, why? Skopio looks as good as usual though. Maybe if they were posed in a right manner they would look good, but I don't think it will effect my opinion much though.

Summer sets will blow your mind, or at least one will. AND COOL CONVERTIBLE JUST ARRIVED!!!! And Ally gave me a ride home.

THE COMIC WAS ACTUALLY GOOD. Also body in sand on Bara Magna is Makuta's broken Great Spirit Machine.

Dear BZPower Communitians, Even hours after the originals were posted and deleted, I still managed to find the leaks. You should too. But anyway, I'm gonna follow the rules and not post anything about them or how to find them. And they rock. :3 Love, Your communitian bird. P.S. Programming is going mighty fine. Met a few bugs, but got over them. After I figure out how to manage Life and the reset thing, I'll be set to do anything.

Went to TRU today to hopefully pick Gadunka or Hydraxon up at $10 each or maybe a Mahri I don't have at $6 each. Neither happened. Instead I got Toa Ignika. Here's a my thought as I look at it right now. Mask is too deep for my likings. Like the legs on the little figure on the mask shouldn't come as far forward. Board is thin. Wings look better retracted. Board is very skimpy/thin. His head comes too far forward. Putting it behind the torso doesn't work though. He should have more armor for $20. Saw a really creepy guy with some sort of problem and his nose was huge and puffy and creepy at TRU. Kinda like a witch.* Mahri blades on shoulders look cool from the front only. Same blades can conduct brain surgery on Ignika's head if he moves his arms. Why does he have the backpack thing for connecting Matoran? Yay black Technic panels I need. Keetorange. Generic clone Toa, Toa Ignika is. Same blade as Hewkii... bad... My hands smell like Goldendoodle.* <3 Mask is good other than depth. Yay for blades I don't have and should have. Yay for all the pieces from recent sets I don't have and need. Wing pieces also on Kopaka are kewl. Build was too fast. Looks moderately cool. New joints haven't cracked yet yays. Mask isn't crooked yays. Overall he is a worth the $20 for me because I needed the parts because I haven't been buying sets lately, but other wise I wouldn't have bought him. Also didn't want to force my mom to go to TRU and not get anything. >< *Such things are unrelated to Toa Ignika, but this kept coming back into my thoughts.

Amazon still hasn't shipped those two packs. I want them so badly! They have such great parts and stuff! Also I'm sick and I threw up at marching band because of it. << It was only because I went inside and drank like the whole water fountain. I felt pretty bad though and sat on the side for most of practice. =\ Everyone was like "Go sit on the side" and I was like "Okay, if you insist I don't do work. I don't even feel that bad." xP It was actually pretty cool to see what the whole band does from the audience perspective. Oh, and I figured out that 6 hours of Rock Band is not a cure for the common cold. It does distract you though. And I am proud to say that after only playing it three times, I can play medium on all instruments very well. Expert on kind of hard songs for guitar, and probably once I get used to the timing and such, the hardest ones too. I'm just used to Guitar Hero timing. I'm very good at singing though, and drums aren't that hard, but not this is on medium.

I just realized how amazing those two packs on Amazon are. You get Vultraz for free, and the rest are half off! Liek mazing dealz yo!! I don't know which I want to get. I am definitely getting Onua/Bitil and I really want Ignika/Vultraz for the pieces, but I don't really need anything in Vultraz. The panels on Ignika's skyboard I need to make Draco's wings bigger and more intimidating, and it would be cool to have the Ignika. I guess thought I might as well get it because I probably won't find another deal like this for a while. But then do I get Krika/Gorast? I already have Krika, but I wouldn't mind having more of the shmexy parts. xP But Gorast doesn't have much to offer. =/ I mean lime green, claws, and wings are cool and there are two black double socket joints previously only available on Oohnorak and I have zero of, but nothing else is really calling to me. To me it is like buying Gorast full value, and I really don't like that idea. =\ And I really would like to save up for Rock Band/2 and a 360, but my birthday is coming up at the end of September and I usually get ~$200 dollars worth of stuff in total. Also, my friends have or will be getting Rock Band/2 and I could play it there. Plus my family could pay for a bit considering they would be playing it too. So convince me to get Bitil/Onua, Gorast/Krika, and Ignika/Vultraz. EDIT: Gaaah!! For $46 I could almost get a T Vehicle like Yetrax!! What to do?!? And then there are older stuffz that has good pieces, like Mantax. You people just list amazing sets with good pieces as old as you think they would be still in stores. I will think about everything then.

If you have any you don't want, give them to me!!! Seriously, be it LEGO Bionicle or System, send me a PM and we can haggle. Except I shouldn't be spending money right now. So I guess I need a really good offer, unless you can wait until June. -CF
