Two days into the program and we're already dis- and re- assembling old, nonfunctional computers. I'm also not the only homeschooler in the class (for once). Arpy

And since four-fifths of my siblings are gone camping with my Dad and our dog, Lego productivity is up, annoyance levels are down, and I'm feeling pretty relaxed right now. Oh, and I'm starting a computer class tomorrow. Still not quite clear on what I'll be doing, but I get really good certification which should help me get into college someday. Arpy

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=112529 So anyway, I went to a cousin's wedding last weekend. It was in Leavenworth, Washington, a town which is, IMO, quaint, rustic, and all the other adjectives that are generally used to describe towns of this type. Leavenworth has a strong German-heritage deal going on, doe to the fact that it transformed itself into a mock Bavarian village in the late 1960's to revitalize its economy. What this means is, every business on the main street is decorated in what I would call "faux-Bavarian" style, from the hotels and inns to the local McDonald's. It also means that Leavenworth is a huge tourist destination. The three coolest things I saw in downtown Leavenworth were: The Hat ShopAn organ grinder playing "The Lumberjack Song"(I forget what the third thing was, but I know there were three, so I'll edit this bit as soon as I remember what it was) Edit: I remembered! It was leiderhosen for dogs. The wedding took place on Saturday, and it was all very nice. After the wedding, I drank a lot of beer soda pop, ate some food, and danced nonstop for about one hour. We're hosting a homeschool play group thingy and people are starting to arrive, so I'd better get off now and stop rambling. Arpy Original Date: 8.23.06

Well, our computer's hard drive is gone. I don't know how or why it happened, but it really stinks, mainly because eight months' worth of family photos are irrevocably lost. I also lost all of my links and game progress, but those can be retrieved eventually, AKA whenever Dell sends their tech out with a replacement hard drive. When I get back from our weekend trip it should be here, so I can upload pics of my flight, as well as the county fair. Arpy

I got back from my camping trip, and I'm pretty tired (as evidenced by my post's title) so I'll just give a list of the good and bad things about the trip instead of going into detail about each item: Good Things: Swimming Kayaking Wakeboarding Seeing relatives Squirting relatives with water guns Dumping bucket of water on cousin's head Running like heck away from same cousin Hot dogs Soda pop Food in general.Bad Things: Insects Heat SunburnLong car rides with all 5 siblingsAlso, I would like to point out this totally awesome Lego SHIP to those of you who have not seen it: The Asmodeus, by Mark Sandlin

Yay for late-night blogging! First off, let me wish a supercalifragilisticexpialidociiusly wonderful anniversary to BZP, and all the members, especially the staff and admins. Although I have never become what you might call well-known, I've had a fine time here over the last four-and-a-half-years-and-eleven-days, and it wouldn't be possible without all of y'all. Now, I have a few things that may or may not be of interest to you: I am going on my family's annual camping trip from Thursday till Sunday. It sure is smart of me to start this blog and then not update it for four days.. Anyway, if anything interesting happens, I'll be sure to mention it when I get back. I might get to water-ski, so we'll see how that goes. In MOCing news, I started my Inika stronghold the day after I got the magazine. So far I just have a neat little bridge with a trapdoor. The plan is for the stronghold to be a wrap-around deal, sort of like the Exo-Force Sentai Fortress. I just now thought of a name that might get my blog more attention: How to Disembowel a Weasel in Three Easy Steps. Any thoughts? Finally, try and guess the quote: "Jimmy, my mystic alarms--Intruders!" Who said it, and where? The Arpster

So I finished getting all 35 characters in Brawl today if anyone wants to go at it my code is : 5155-2605-1061 I main Marth and Mario "I had a neighbor, and whenever he would knock on my wall I knew he wanted me to turn my music down, and that made me angry because I like loud music, so when he knocked on the wall I'd mess with his head. I'd say: "Go around! I cannot open the wall. I don't know if you have a doorknob on the other side, but over here there's nothing. It's just flat." ~Mitch Hedberg

So last Friday, our physics teacher was out, so as a class we decided to pull a few jokes on him we: -Replaced his clock with a dartboard -added "hands" to the dartboard -placed the clock on the ceiling (my favorite) -moved his computer keys around so the top row spelled his name -put a sticky note over the laser reader of his mouse so it wouldn't work (until he sticky note was removed) -and completely covered his chalkboard in chalk you know what he did today... nothing we came in and the room was back to normal, and he acted like nothing was wrong I finished my MoC using the minifig hands, but I don't want to deal with brickshelf anymore today, but I'll have pics up by the end of the week "The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other [poor silly man] die for his." ~ General George Patton

Given the fact that Life, the Universe and everything is equal to 42 (see Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) one can say, mathematically that: LU+E=42 L being life, U being the universe, and E being everything so if we solve for L: L=(42-E)/U in other words the meaning of live is 42 minus everything divided by the universe if someone wants to figure out the numerical value for everything and the universe, feel free to do so and then we can pin a numerical value on life!

Well, this week everyone has Premier status so, I'm making a blog. But this blog won't just fade into obscurity after the week is over, because I plan on getting a premier membership. Eventually. Anyway, time for an anecdote: I got one of those moist towelettes, individually packed, of course, and read the instructions on the back. I'm not making that up.
