We all know how much Lego likes slug-like mind control creatures. That is to say, we all know how much I like slug-like mind control creatures. (I drew this at 4:00 Am, so it may not be my cleanest work...)

I've decided to finally stop procrastinating and get started. The Plot: The Shadowed One (who is still ShadowVezon in disguise) has organised another Hitman tournament, while secretly starting a zombie outbreak in the process, in order to determine the usefulness of zombies as a method of surviving death. How to Play: In Hitman, each player is trying to kill all the other players; each odd-numbered turn all active players will PM me a target and a weapon of their choice to use that round. Each player PMs me their profile with their weapon resistances; each weapon must have a number between one and six, but no two weapons can share the same number. An example profile: Blunt Objects: 3 Sharp Objects: 4 Explosives: Poisons/Toxins: 6 Ranged: 2 Elemental: 1 In order to kill a player, the die roll needs to be greater than the targeted player’s resistance. E. G. Huffpuff attacks Bahu with a Mace (blunt object) and a 5 is rolled. Bahu’s blunt object resistance is only 4, so he is killed. Be as creative as you want in your weapon choice so long as a weapon type (sharp object, blunt object, etc.) is included. If a weapon type is not included, I will assume the most logical type for the weapon chosen. At the beginning of each round every player will have forty-eight hours to pm their target. If you have any questions about any rules, feel free to ask in the topic and I will gladly answer to the best of my abilities. The Twist: Everything gains zombies eventually, so I might as well jump upon the bandwagon. When a player dies, they become a zombie. Zombies can still try and kill players, but their attacks have an additional 1/2 chance to fail. This is to ensure that the game doesn't end too quickly. It's a bit of an experiment, so this could easily go horribly wrong. That's the fun of it, I guess. Zombies cannot be killed, so they don't need to be killed to win the game. Zombies can't win, either. Rules: 1. All BZPower rules apply. 2. Please, only use one PM, as in, don’t keep sending me new PMs each round. 3. No switching targets mid-round. If I’m given a second target, I will use the first one and ignore any subsequent ones. 4. Please, no complaining about outcomes. All numbers come from an RNG. Player Slots: 1. JAG18 - Killed by iBrow, Night 1 2. Doorman - Killed by JAG18, Night 1 3. Shadowhawk - Killed by Gukko Lord, Night 3 4. Lucina (iBrow/Voltex) - Killed by Luroka, Night 2 5. Rahkshi Guurahk 6. Anung Un Rama (Chro) - Killed by Guurahk, Night 2 7. Axilus Prime - Killed by Gukko Lord, Night 1 8. MrPerson - Killed by Doorman, Night 1 9. ToaKapura1234 - Killed by being a Late Entry, Night 2 12. Voxumo 2427135. Luroka - Killed by Shadowhawk, Night 3 XLVII: Gukko Lord Sign-Ups will last two days from the time of this topic’s posting. If fewer than ten people join when sign-ups end, then we'll wait a bit longer in case some people arrive late to the party. More places will be created to accommodate surplus players. Even if someone happens to be really late, I'm sure I could fit them in as a zombie anyway.

I had a brainwave while showing the Toy Fair picture to my little siblings; this is how it goes: The summer villains (with the possible exception of Skull Grinder) are Toa from long ago who have been resurrected as guardians or shock troops. To be put to rest again, they need to don masks of their respective elements. Their boss ( either SG or Makuta himself) points them at the Toa, who must fight off the desperate zombies' attempts to steal their masks, while racing to not only wake Ekimu, but also find their enemies' original masks to return them to the grave. There are two obvious benefits of taking the story in this direction. First, it gives the villains built-in pathos as heroes fallen from grace. Second, it imparts the revelation that there are other Toa out there, plus the ominous subtext that, for all their snazzy upgraded powers, our current heroes could still end up just like the unfortunate forbears they're fighting. I already voiced this little theory in the topic discussing the Toy Fair picture, but I thought I'd release it into the site at large and see how many holes get poked in it. Any thoughts?

So, in a somewhat recent blog entry I mentioned that LEGO had two new Series Minifigure 3-packs; the Halloween Accessory Set and the Rock Band Minifigure Accessory Set. Well, I bought the former of the two when I obtained half of the Series 8 Minifigures, so I figured I'd review this little 3-pack.PresentationFrom the design of the box to the instruction manual, these are the first things you see before building the set. The box is just like that of the luau set: a flexible plastic container with lids on top and bottom. The minifigures are proudly displayed in the front just like the olden days where big sets had a box flap that opened to reveal the minifigures and other special pieces to look forward to. It was a simpler time; it was a better time. The background keeps with the Monster Fighters theme with an eerie full moon in the background, which of course works perfectly for a Halloween set. The back is similar and pretty much repeats the picture garnished underneath with a healthy dose of legalese.BuildingHalf the fun is had building the set. How fun is it to build and how easy or challenging is it? Simple build is simple. Like the luau set, there isn't much substance other than the minifigures themselves, thus the build doesn't take more than five minutes.Set DesignNow that the set is complete, we can critique how it looks from every angle. New or interesting pieces can also be examined here. Copy and paste? I have no idea what you're talking about... This is it. Other than the minifigures, this is the set. The tombstone is pretty cool, and the design with the bat and "RIP" is a printed piece, not a sticker, which is definitely a plus. It's a cute little grave for a cute little set. But, this isn't the important part. Let's take a look at the minifigs... I personally don't see a resemblance... The witch is exactly the same as the Series 2 minifigure, which is good for those who may not have snagged her when she came out, because frankly, she's pretty awesome. Interestingly, her hands are black in the set and in the original series release, but her hands on the box art are dark bley. O.o Ebenezer Scrooge...! The ghost in this set is the same as the Monster Fighters ghost, but he comes with chains to rattle like Jacob Marley. I like this new take on the classic ghost minifigure that made his appearance in Time Twisters and Castle sets, since he has that little tail on the back of his head and is making an eerily awesome moan with his mouth. He also does not have actual legs, and instead has a brick and plate combo for his feet (like in the Haunted House set, which I eagerly am waiting to buy...). Grr...argh... To be honest, this was the real reason for me wanting to get this set. The zombie. Almost the same as the Series 1 zombie (which is now ridiculously priced on Bricklink!) except his clothes have changed; his tie and jacket have switched colors. This is fine, as his face is now available to buy again, and he's still as endearing and adorable as ever.PlayabilityThe other half of the fun is in playing with the set. How well does the set function and is it enjoyable to play with?I mean, let's face it; this set is to enhance your minifigure collection. Don't get me wrong, the grave is a cool, spooky addition to any Halloween-type set you have, but as far as playability, there isn't functionality or anything like that.Final ThoughtsOnce it's all said and done, how does the set stack up? Should I get it?If you want to add these minifigures to your collection, hop on this deal. The ghost, which is normally only in the Ghost Train and Haunted House sets, is now available here for a fairly decent price, and if you missed the Series Witch or Zombie you'll want to get this. I will agree that the $15 that LEGO has priced this at is a bit high, but not terribly much more than the price of the Series Minifigures (plus an extra tombstone and critters!)ProsWhat's to like? ZOMBIE!!!WitchGhostGrave is cuteConsWhat's not to like? Price may be a bit high.I hope you all consider getting this one as the spooky season closes in on us. For the gallery, go here when it becomes public.

So, after reading DLC containing pretty much all of the first Left 4 Dead is coming out for the second one soon, I was thinking of picking up a copy of Left 4 Dead 2 for halloween. Can I get some first-hand opinions?
