Looks amazing. I haven't had an opportunity to preview the launch stuff or really get to see from the many videos what all the suite is supposed to do. All I know is that what Photoshop is supposed to be able to do is remarkable... that would take my photo editing abilities to a whole new level if I could afford the price tag for either one. Anyone care to give me about a grand, so I can buy it? ©1984-2010 Toaraga EAM

Super Bowl spot was mediocre, but the theatrical trailer is full of win. Go, watch it! Also, Industrial Light & Magic. The effects should be top-notch, so here's hoping for a just as good or better story. I don't want an overpowering special effects show to make up for bad storytelling. So far, the movie looks promising. ©1984-2010 Toaraga EAM

The first day of this year was totally binary... except I think I saw a two. Confounded 2 making binary not binary. Also, at first I pasted the phrase "I'm very versatile" that I had copied earlier from elsewhere; thus, I made the title/entry combo initially "I just realized I'm very versatile." I wish I had known sooner that I was versatile. ©1984-2010 Toaraga EAM

I have it. Not played it yet though... been too busy. I have time off now from work for a few days, but I don't feel so good right now. ©1984-2009 Toaraga EAM

Something I made for a graphics class last fall: It's a huge file, so beware, but I'll work to condense it later. I don't have the fonts I used, so it's a bit difficult to do. I'm also trying to shrink another image I made, without the letters becoming distorted. ©1984-2009 Toaraga EAM

Top. Woohoo, I so needed a computer upgrade, and I've been wanting a laptop for some time. So it works out. ©1984-2009 Toaraga EAM

So I have an Adobe suite (woohoo), but I don't have the license key yet, so it's currently just a trial (boohoo). It was easier to get Microsoft Office 2007 set up. ©1984-2009 Toaraga EAM

Is Super Metroid for Xbox 360 but with a storyline. It's that good. ©1984-2009 Toaraga EAM

We had a pretty nasty storm Wednesday night and yesterday. I think it must have knocked out or done something at the phone company because our land line (and by default Internet connection) have been flaky since then. Supposedly everything's been fixed, but our connection hasn't been stable today even after we were told it was. In other news, I'm leaving the state of Texas tomorrow... but I'll be back. I'm going to Louisiana for a big event (yay road trip), and I'll just leave you guessing (if you don't know) as to what. ©1984-2009 Toaraga EAM

Yep, it's true. I single-handedly took on the behemoth known as "The Internet" and soundly slew it with a flurry of motions known as "smooth move, Sparky." Well, obviously not. But I'm having difficulties with my computer's connection, so the Internet is dead to me... currently. ©1984-2009 Toaraga EAM

I still can't believe some 3-D viewing is still relying on red-blue glasses here in the year 2009; Meet the Robinsons used some glasses that weren't like that. Also, all that blue gives me a headache... red not so much, oddly enough, and already wearing glasses makes it even more difficult to use the 3-D glasses. Needless to say, the Super Bowl commercials and the episode of Chuck were a pain to watch. The 3-D effects weren't all that impressive anyway. ©1984-2009 Toaraga EAM

Click Admittedly, it's not my best editing work; honestly though, I did have the real song sounding somewhat like a chipmunk. ©1984-2008 Toaraga EAM

...is a terrible crime against computer users of all ages. Leave it to Microsoft to take the simple and make it complex, thus defeating the primary purpose of computers. I hate every piece of software that I have used in that suite. Word 2007's problem is command placement; it doesn't help if one doesn't know what category something is under or that I have to click/right-click on the circle in the upper left to access certain commands, considering it wasn't that way before. PowerPoint 2007 is messed-up because it shows a drop shadow before the text shows up; whereas, an older version would not do that; then there's the whole animation issue. I haven't really used Excel 2007, so I'm not sure about it. Honestly, I shouldn't have to relearn where stuff is that I've known how to locate and use for years or even access a help file just to locate it. New default file format messes up compatibility, and having to remember to choose the compatible file format is terrible. I haven't found anybody that actually likes that junk, and the only reason I use it is because it's what's installed on my school's computers, which is just about the only place I use it. Seriously, this is worst "necessary" software I've had to use to get work done. ©1984-2008 Toaraga EAM

It's very interesting. Then again, I have only checked the whole thing for just a bit, but I do like that the Guide doesn't basically block the whole screen now. There's still so much more stuff to learn. Quick Launch is good for the disc-based games... unless you mean to check out the game info and not play the game just yet, as I was trying to do more than once. It's nice for the Library games though. Install game to hard drive is win, especially for multiplayer games to get certain Achievements; however, space taking is not. Then again, for the people who have a big enough hard drive, isn't that somewhat contradictory to what the video game business is trying to accomplish? Apparently, there are load time issues and such anyway, but still... Granted, I have a 20 GB hard drive, and it's filled more than halfway (with junk I could probably delete), so I can't even check out the speed difference and such on one of the games I tried. Besides, it's always good to have the CD/DVD of the game you're playing in case something goes wrong. ©1984-2008 Toaraga EAM

Game: LEGO Batman Achievement: Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Objective: Glide for 9 seconds. Message: 9 seconds! It's the difference between having 10,000 Gamerscore and not having 10,000 Gamerscore. I had planned to make that goal over the last weekend but didn't really have the opportunity to accomplish it. Oh well, I can now say that was a fun waste of time. ©1984-2008 Toaraga EAM

After the few years of having Toaraga as my Xbox Live Gamertag, I finally changed it. Unfortunately, the name I originally wanted was apparently too long (15 characters max), so I went with another one after several different ideas. Hyper Text MaLe I'll give 5 non-cents to the person who gets that. ©1984-2008 Toaraga EAM

I finally made money for helping design and further design a website. I didn't get paid much, and it was for a family friend, but it's still a start. In other news, I've basically been gone since before the 4th (very fun weekend), and then BZP slipped into an offline coma on Wednesday. Add to the fact I'm taking a college class for July/early August. So if you sent a PM since around that time or have need of my attention, I ask you to be patient and not to think I'm lazy.* *Just because I am doesn't mean you should think it. ©1984-2008 Toaraga EAM

As most everyone is aware, maj is now majhost, and any image hosted under the previous name were transferred without any issues (that I'm aware of) in terms of being able to view them. What you may not know is that the filesize property didn't transfer. What I mean is when you right-click an image, you can see how big a picture is, but if the image is "hosted" on maj, how big the file is won't show unless you go to the site (now being majhost). That's your fun fact for the day.

Ever notice Maj spelled backward is "jam" (or jaM)? Quick, call tech support; we have a photo jam! ©1984-2007 Toaraga EAM

I think my family's router/modem has just about had it. Despite having DSL, our connection seems to have been flaky lately, as evidenced if you're talking to me on AIM and I suddenly disconnect and reconnect a little later (though it's not always true). It's probably also an issue when playing Halo 3. I guess it's a good excuse to invest in a wireless router. Entry word: Monitor Example: Monitor my shirt on a nail, and now I need a new one. ©1984-2007 Toaraga EAM
