What are the noise restrictions in your building? One of the biggest things I'm looking forward to when I have my own place is being able to bang out at least a rough version of musical ideas at any hour, because they seem to like to come to me right before bed, but I can't exactly play at 2 AM, or even at 11, even if I plug into an amp sim so the only sound is the plinking of electric guitar strings, which isn't even as loud without an amp as folding a paper bag. Singing obviously is right out of the question. However for obvious reasons, jumping straight from "Living with parents" to "My own house" is pretty scary. Even if it's just for a few months, living in an apartment for a while to get my bearings on the whole "I have to take care of everything now" thing before worrying about all the financial stuff in order to buy a house would be a good idea. So yeah, people in apartment complexes, would I be able to get away with noise late at night? And if so how loud?
