As this ticket points out, all forums are now listing every topic created since the establishment of the new forums and are ignoring the default topic display settings. While in the past topics that were considered "dead" and past the revival limit were not displayed by default, now (after the recent upgrade) they are available for public view without the necessity of tweaking some settings. This means that it is very important to check the date of the last post in a topic before replying. Since the recent upgrade, I have seen an increased rate of topic revival due to the ready availability of all topics in a forum. Therefore, when browsing topics past the first couple pages of a forum, look before posting! If you are unsure of the revival limit, check that forum's pinned rules topic or head over here.It should be said too that if someone revives a topic, do not post to point it out. Simply report the reviving post. If necessary, a staff member will contact the offender (in addition to offering a reminder in the closing post) to help him or her avoid any further revivals.Thank you for reading!
