Toa of Nerds Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 When the Alien Conquest line first came out, I thought it was cool and funny. Funny-looking Aliens abducting cows and unsuspecting reporters was great, but when a group of earthlings formed a special team that used cutting edge technology to defeat the aliens at alien saucer landing spots, my inner geek meter started going crazy. Why? Because this sounded all-too-familiar to a certain tactical turn-based strategy game called X-COM:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFO:_Enemy_UnknownHave there ever been any other Lego lines that have seemed similarly inspired by video games?-don't touch my pocket protector Quote Three great comedies at one low, low price....NOTHING! Kicking the Bucket (archived)Three late-middle age matoran think of something they want to do before they kick the bucket. Useless BZP Junk that you Must Have!!!Get to your phone, whip out your credit card, and prepare to buy some useless BZPower related junk that has no benefit on society except that you want it!!!
Sumiki Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 I'm fairly sure that'd be considered a coincidence. Maybe a LEGO employee had played that game and it indirectly, somehow, affected the line? Quote avatar by Lady Kopaka
