Circle
EDIT: Please move this to the appropriate forum. Thanks.Greetings.Recently I decided it's about time for me to write a major coding project, so I went for my favorite capable-of-becoming-a-gamish thing - Bionicle. I don't like all the new sets of Bionicle. My favorite set is, and will always be, the Toa Mata. I kinda like the Toa Nova, but I still think the Toa Mata are better.So... Imagine something MapleStory-styled. A 2D side-scrolling multiplayer game with a client written in JavaScript and using HTML5's canvas. That grants the game high portability.I like pixel art, so I will use lots of pixel art in my game. I wanna use one of the pre-made sprite sets(the player is a Matoran, maybe a McToran. Help me decide). I want to give the player control over the mask and colors. Please help me by sharing you favorite sprite sheet. The author will be given appropriate credit, so no worries.I thought about basically having the player walk around and kill different Rahi, level up and raise stats. Quests sound like a good idea. Maybe even different enhancments - items that you equip on different parts of your body to make you stronger without changing your appearance. Skills. Different kinds of weapons. If you have a decent idea on how to implement Toa and Turaga, please share it.And that's about all I have so far. I did start coding but I've only done very little. Don't expect it to be ready soon, it will take me some time. The reason I'm sharing it with you guys is to find out what you think about my ideas, and to find new ones. So discuss. Tell me why my ideas are good/bad and why, and suggest new ones(by the way, I'm hoping to make it an MMO. As soon as it's done the Alpha will be released). Thanks a bunch,Mike Edited February 16, 2012 by Circle Hahli
Black Six
So this would belong in Fan Created Games, but you need to show that you're working on a project before you start a topic.Once you have something to show, feel free to start a topic over there.Thread closed.
