Blue Hair!

Posted by ChocolateFrogs , Jan 31 2007 · 250 views
My Life Is Awesome
So, yesterday was Spirit Day at school. Besides wearing school t-shirts and other blue and sliver clothes (school colors), some people decided to die their hair blue. My friend did, and...

so did I!!!

Yeah, that was fun. I can't wait until the next spirit day!

Oh, and here's another shout for the Lego Master Builder Event going on at Tyson's Corner Mall this weekend.. Please discuss in that entry (I'll be there sunday afternoon)

(Ah! Blue! What about green???)
And this seems to now be the official "post your crazy hair" blog entry. Let the competition begin!
(seriously, that'd be awesome)

Lego Model Builder Event!

Posted by ChocolateFrogs , Jan 28 2007 · 186 views
So, here's the deal.

Who: A Lego Master Model Builder
What: Building an 8 foot tall Allgator, and meet other Lego fans/BZPers
Where: The Lego Store at Tyson's Corner Center Mall
When: February 2-4 (see below for times)
Why: To meet a Master Builder and meet other Lego fans/BZPers
How: Get to the Tyson's Lego Store this weekend

Friday (2nd): 11 am-7 pm
Saturday (3rd): 10 am-6 pm
Sunday (4th): 11 am-6pm

Perhaps you got a post card if you are in this area of Virginia. With that postcard you can get a free small Pick-a-Brick cup if you show the card and spend $10 or more. (or try it without the post card and try to tell the cashier to use the code "999247" that was on the postcard)

I will be there on Sunday from 4-6, either in the Lego store or with the Alligator model right outside. I'll be wearing my BZPower shirt. I'm a 17 male. (Capricorn; likes long walks on the beach...) I'm going then because I hope that there will be less people there because it's Superbowl sunday, and the model will probable be (almost) complete.

So, will there be anybody else there? I really would like to meet some people!

I'll See You There!

QUOTE(Arpy @ Jan 24 2007, 08:28 PM)

*smacks self in head with blunt object*
A chance to meet a fellow BZPer, and I missed it?!?
We really ought to mention these things in advance, eh?

On that note, I would like to tell you where I'll be and when, so we might be able to meet up or even more than one BZPer. (although some of you live in Louisiana and Massachusetts)

Anyway, I'll be at the SAR Oratoracle Contest thing on February 17th, in Richmond, VA
I'll also be at Katsucon (which I still need to blog about...) that same weekend, attending on Sunday. It's at the Omni Shoram Hotel in Washington, DC that weekend.

I'll also be at the Tyson's Corner Lego Store on Sunday, February 4th for that Master Builder event. I'm going from 4-6 in hope the thing will be complete and not many people will be there (instead staying at home watching the Superbowl), so I can actually talk with the Master Builder. I'll be wearing my BZP shirt (light BZP blue with the BZP logo on both sides)

I'll be at Scout Camp Henson (Keep in mind I live near Wash. DC, so it's not far from there) the last week in June.
I'm going to Philmont Scout Ranch on July 8-24 (I think that's when I return).

And I'll be at my local Borders for the seventh Harry Potter Book

anyone going to be near me?

New F M A Avatar!

Posted by ChocolateFrogs , Jan 26 2007 · 207 views
Well, it's been a while since I had an amine section entry, so...

Please check out my newest Avatar! It can be seen in this entry. (actually, I made a comment in here, but that entry is pretty cool so you should go there anyway)

If you don't know (or it's changed), it's a Fullmetal Alchemist symbol

Good News/bad News And $100

Posted by ChocolateFrogs , Jan 25 2007 · 134 views
My Life Is Awesome
So last night I took part in an essay contest. The Sons of the American Revolution holds a contest linking the Am. Rev. to today.

Well, I won, got $100 and am going to state (Richmond, Va).

Now onto the bad news: The State competition is over Katsucon weekend. (an Amine Convention) Saturday February 17.

Well, I'll still make it to the Sunday part of the con.

Anyway, I won.

March For Life

Posted by ChocolateFrogs , Jan 22 2007 · 133 views
My Life Is Awesome
I went on the March For Life today.

Any other BZPers there?

I am talking, of course, about DC's March for Life, as in Pro-Life, as in no abortion, as in Roe v. Wade.

The March For Life is a Rally and Mass in the morning in the Verizon Center (20,000 people in a basketball stadium), then a walk from there to the Capitol building with signs with pro-life messages on them. (On of my favorites was "yo mama is pro life") We are basically trying to show Congress that the decision to make aborting legal (with Roe v. Wade) was a very bad idea and they should change that.

That pretty much explains it.
(and I don't want any rude comments here either)

No, this isn't a post about the manga...

Actually, here in Northern Virginia we finally got some snow! Not even an inch, but it it snowed enough to delay some schools.

Server Busy Ideas

Posted by ChocolateFrogs , Jan 19 2007 · 138 views
For the Server Busy pages, and me just having had my English Mid-term exam, this is on my mind:

I edited the first stanza to Edgar Allen Poe's "The Raven" Here it goes:

Once upon a server busy, whild I surfed, weak and weary
Over many a quaint and curious volume of Bionicle Lore--
While it loaded, nearly lacking, suddenly there came that lacking
As if something gently hacking, hacking for this server bore
"Tis many visitors," I muttered, "tapping on the BZ Door
Server Busy and nothing more"

Go read that poem,
And if you want a smaller "Raven" quote:
Quoteth the Raven, "server busy, back up nevermore."

I also have a good Star Wars one:
"Luke, I am your server."

now, does anyone actually take suggestions?

It's My Birthday!

My Life Is Awesome
That's right! I am now 17. Woohoo!
Well, I guess some of you are past that now....

So far I have received $55, which will most likely all go toward Lego. (or some to some Manga)

I also expect some manga, Lego, and camping equipment. (perhaps some surprises as well)

There will be cake. (It's white with white frosting, so my brother and mom can eat it too (allergic to chocolate), but I did have a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and chocolate pudding in the middle when my friends came over on saturday (and we went to WAMALUG...))

Dinner will be chinese. I like Kung Pao chicken. (as well as Wonton soup. (thanx KIE!)) But do I really need to justify any reason for whatever I'm having?

Well, that's about it. Sadly I have exams this week, as it's been for the past two years too. So it's not even announced on the announcements.

Updates: Thanx guys for the comments
Spoils: Defilak, Small Aqua Raiders, camping stuff, beef jerky, and the box in which I though contained manga contained Harry Potter 5&6--In French! This will be...fun?...interesting?...none the less it'll be good practice.
Oh, and I got $20 to the Lego Store and $20 to TRU. That will definately go toward Lego.

My First L U G Meeting!

Posted by ChocolateFrogs , Jan 15 2007 · 328 views
Well, on Saturday I went to my first Lego User's Group (LUG) meeting! The group is WAMALUG (Washington Metro Area LUG). I went with two 16 year old friends, and had an interesting time. I was able to talk with AFOLs young and older, and almost every new set was there. I was able to see the new Aqua Raider sets, some new Exo Force, a couple of Barraki and all the small box sets, and some new Star Wars sets.

We also played BrickQuest, an RPG using Lego.

I do plan on going back, but not until April or June, depending on when I have time. We'll also probable bring my System piece bins, and I'll bring some Bionicle MOCs, and we'll build there and get other people's opinions on the MOCs.

So, anyone else belong to or at least visited a LUG?

Oh, yeah, I signed their list, so now I get 10% off my purchases at my local Lego stores!

The Faster Me

Posted by ChocolateFrogs , Jan 15 2007 · 121 views
My Life Is Awesome
Well, my family got high speed internet now!

Which means goodbye dial up!

So things are going way too fast than I'm used to!

Things I plan on doing really soon:
  • go to Biowall and look at every image
  • Look at a bunch of BBC topics
  • Download anime/manga
  • Read anime/manga
  • Load pix to BrickShelf
  • And a bunch of other stuff that I couldn't do 13.5 % speed ago.

Don't Do This

Posted by ChocolateFrogs , Jan 10 2007 · 232 views
As Tilius has mentioned in his blog entry, I now ask the same thing:

Please don't pluarlize Bionicle words!!!! beg1a.gif

...people who pluralize Bionicle words. Like Toas, Matorans and Pirakas. Makes me feel sick. And the word itself - into Bionicles. So don't do it...

That pretty much explains it. It's not cool. There is a Toa of Light, and there are six Toa of Metru Nui. Zaktan is a Piraka, and all the Piraka are evil. There are six Turaga that watch out for the Toa Nuva.
Generally, there are six of something and you don't need to add an 's'
There are six types of Vahki. A swarm of Bohrok are attacking the Koro. (that is a good examle!)

Don't do it. beg1a.gif

Lego Quote!

Posted by ChocolateFrogs , Jan 09 2007 · 137 views
My friend had a good quote about Lego:

QUOTE(my friend @ but it would be unsafe to mention names, y'know?)
Lego: The international symbol of peace and descturcion

Yeah, that's it. Please discuss.

Oh, what do you think of the new/edited block?

well, I got my ears lowered today. But I guess I needed it.

If you know what I look like, just picture it shorter everywhere.

If you don't know what I look like, I have a picture here.

And that's today's blog entry!
