Posted by The Xinlo , Aug 19 2013 · 134 views

yeah look: CLICK THIS

As my good friend takal likes to point out, it is an odd looking ship, but anyone familiar with the design of the Excelsior Class should see the resemblance :P

I've got a TOPIC for them aswell, with more pics and reference images.

this happened tonight

[11:49:37 PM] Magical Wonderprince: man just got back from an awesome concert

[11:50:14 PM] Magical Wonderprince: a really top-notch band that covers a large selection of Canadian music

[11:51:17 PM] Magical Wonderprince: I was really looking forward to hearing Rush, The Guess Who and Shania Twain (for old time's sake) as they were all featured in the promotional video I saw before going.

[11:51:46 PM] Magical Wonderprince: and like the entire show happens and it's amazing but still none of them appeared until the very end where they said

[11:52:35 PM] Magical Wonderprince: "Okay now, this next band we can't possibly ignore. They're one of the most successful bands in Canadian history, and right now one of the biggest bands in the world. We can't leave without doing one of their songs..."

[11:52:45 PM] Magical Wonderprince: and I though wooooooooo Rush!

[11:52:59 PM] Magical Wonderprince: and then "Ladies and gentlemen, this band is called..."

[11:53:03 PM] Magical Wonderprince: "NICKELBACK!"

Stargate Complete Series Boxset

I just finihsed season one and am officially hooked on the show, and this box set is only $70... and I have $30 in gift card money too. Was going to buy a few more Voyager seasons with that money but this is such a deal (I mean Trek series collections are are generally $400, for only 7 seasons to boot).

Should I do it?

Any fans lurking around here? I just started watching SG-1 (after years of curiosity I finally saw it on TV at the dentist lol). I've only seen six episodes at this point but I'm pretty much sold on it. The whole cast is just great. Even Hammond who seems like your typical american stereotype general turned out to be a cool dudebro.

well... hey BZP. It's been almost two months since I used this blog. jeez.
so uh, what's happening? A lot of the familiar faces around here seem to be gone as of late, so I'm not even sure anyone I know is still blogging here.
Not a whole lot's up with me except that I finally downloaded LDD and made an awesome (IMO) lego Excelsior Class starship which I intended to buy before realizing that service is no longer offered. :(
aside from that been playing Star Trek Online and just been all-around Trek obsessed recently. Rewatched some of DS9, all of Enterprise, and some of Voyager. and yeah nothing else really is new.
oh no wait I got into college for music too. lol I legitimately forgot about that. Gonna be starting in september as a bass player (switched from guitar two weeks before my audition).
so yeah, just figured I should update this thing a bit after two months.

My Crew

So yeah, I downloaded this game finally and it's been really great so far. Graphics are a bit less awesome than I expected but oh well. Anyway I just took screenshots and GIMP'd around with them and made some images, so here we are:

Here's my bridge crew so far, consisting of (left to right), Ensign Eyra Sar (Trill), Captain Thomas Nathan "Manatee" Xin (Human), Ensign R'Shee (Andorian), and Ensign Jhril (Andorian):

and here's my ship, the U.S.S. Nelson, NCC-93403, Miranda class variant:

Most likely will be upgrading ship class soon to something more practical like a Constitution refit or something, and equip more than two phaser banks and a torpedo launcher, but this one's served me well thus far.

so yeah fun stuff.

Star Trek Online

Posted by The Xinlo , May 09 2013 · 91 views

Just finally got it after all these years. Made a male science officer (named Tom Nathan Xin :P) for a captain and got a Centaur class ship (could've been worse I suppose) which I named the USS Nelson. I have no idea what I'm doing, been so long since I played games with a keyboard. Also the graphics are nowhere near as good as I had thought, but that's probably due to my computer's lack of a video card.

Still, I think it'll be really fun once I get into it and get myself a better ship. :P

So here's my new bass in person, just in case there was any doubt of its existence.

Plays like a dream.

Anyway, it's been awhile so I just thought I'd spew my recent doings and goings on. First off I have my music college audition tomorrow morning (for bass instead of guitar as I had originally planned), so that's exciting/terrifying.

I also got a phone though seeing as I have only two contacts and have received a single phone call (from myself; testing my ringtone :P) I'm not sure how necessary it was. Bought some records, my collection's up to about 110 now I think, and I've been watching Castle still, alongside DS9 and I've started on Stargate: SG-1. Have to get my wisdom teeth pulled this month... that makes three scheduled dentist appointments (and here I thought I took care of my teeth <_<)

uuuuh looking forward to the new Star Trek and Iron man movies, as well as a bunch of albums scheduled for this year...

That's all, I think. It's not much but it's something I suppose.

My New Baby

Ran me about $870 CAD, what with tax and shipping and all, but luckily my dad helped out and paid for half of it (thanks dad). I saw this back in 2008 and knew I wanted it but was never interested in learning bass as anything more than a hobby. But now I find myself liking bass more than guitar, surprisingly, and figured I'd go with my dream guitar. It's gotten 5-star reviews accross the board without a single complaint and is super rare.

I managed to order the only one currently available in Canada.
