Was my best performance in a contest (though I wouldn't have won, I still would have moved on farther) and that thing kicked me out.

There is. A Hapori Tohu entry made from two pieces and an entry that was a pencil made of about five were both DC'ed from contests due to it.

 

And yes, I do. That was my first BBC Contest, actually. Good times, man.

Also I guess I'm still butthurt from the time I lost to a three-piece gun. :B

I think it was BBC 54? Unless you mean the Tohu one, which was 44.

 

Oh, and I think there was also an entry one time that was only a green lightsaber blade, which was also DC'ed.

as the tl;dr version, an extraordinarily simplistic MoC (three pieces) was entered into a BBC, and people voted it all the way up for the lolz. It was eventually "withdrawn", which caused a lot of controversy, yadda yadda yadda.

 

Anyhow, yeah, I was there for that. Good times.

 

... BZP really hasn't changed since then.

It was withdrawn because it was going to be DQd at the end anyway. Much like how in that one contest, the winner complained because no one thought he deserved it, so he was "removed" from first place by BR.

Which one contest was that? I don't remember that happening.

I don't remember off-hand, but it was quite awhile ago. Maybe 2004 or so?

Haha, all that complaining from BBC Contest polls.

 

Would explain why I don't remember it, I wasn't a member back then.
