R. A.

My mother does not seem to realize that even though she wants me to take a job as a Resident Assistant next year at my college due to the financial benefits of not having to pay for housing or a meal plan for next year, that if I were take the job next year I would most likely completely lose it with being an R.A., the track team, everything that goes along with being an art major, and the rest of my life all clamoring for attention at the same time.

You weren't an RA. It was a good decision.-FN

I had trouble with one of my roommates last year and we drove our RA up the wall. (Note, it was all his fault, I was trying to be civil about the whole thing)

I would never be an RA... I have enough trouble dealing with my own life, much less helping out others in the hall. :fear: They do get nicer rooms though...

Don't push your own limits (and risk your health by doing so), just so others are satisfied :)

If I'd do all the activities I could I probably would have gone nuts already...

Yeah, it should be entirely your choice on being an RA or not. It involves a lot of hard work.

And if she wants you to do it because of the benefits instead of thinking you'd do great job on keeping a hall cool, well then, that's the wrong reason...
