The PDX Adult Soap Box Derby occured a little while back, and since my family is really involved in soap box derby, we decided to head up to Mt. Tabor, where the race is held, and watch a bit. It tends to have a really good turnout and some very interesting car designs (especially this year).
The A Team and....well, I'm not sure what they are, but they make me giggle.
Delivery truck and firefighters.
Flinstones and a Indiana Jones tribute?
Mousetrap and the Red Menace.
At the race, the teams and people sometimes bring water balloons and squirt guns to throw, and this car got hit by a water balloon thrown from the crowd, but unfortunately crashed right after this photo.
HOWEVER. There was one car. One amazing car. Like, this is such an amazingly awesome car that the amazing awesomeness is off the charts.
The LEGO car. Driven by the Village People minifigs. Oh yeah so cool.
It was so awesome! They made it all the way to the semi finals, and I think that might have been the fastest I've ever seen a LEGO car of any type move.
And.....
It'd make me so happy if people voted for entry number three! This is the final round of voting, so every vote counts and if you do vote for entry three, thank you very much! It's much appreciated!
