Hunger Games is great but it'd be even better if it branched out some more.

Bah, Hunger Games. The Most Dangerous Game was much better. Toss folks on an island with a stone sword and any resources they can pick up from the island itself, and let the last one standing win.

Yes, name it after a short story I've read rather than a movie/book series I've watched/read and act like it makes a difference Clag.

clag's idea sounds really fun, actually

spawn a world with a relatively small island to start on (ie: i'd sat about 300x300 blocks), place chests underground and above ground with resources, no animals, only a stone sword to start off.
