One question: is the information in Pokedex entries considered factual in this world, or exaggerated?

Which pokedex?

I mean there have always been some that are terrifying, like

 

-Gyarados, Red and Blue:

"Rarely seen in the wild. Huge and vicious, it is capable of destroying entire cities in a rage."

 

But SuMo is starting to become infamous for Pokedex entries like

 

-Gengar, Sun:

"Should you feel yourself attacked by a sudden chill, it is evidence of an approaching Gengar. There is no escaping it. Give up."

-Drifblim, Sun:

"There was once an incident in which a man took a trip riding a Drifblim, only to go missing."

-Toxapex, Sun:

"Toxapex crawls along the ocean floor on its 12 legs. It leaves a trail of Corsola bits scattered in its wake."

 

If the Pokedex is treated as fact I'm not so sure I want to live in the same world as Pokemon all the time.

Is it wrong that none of those are deterring me in my want of pokemon?

Perhaps "slightly distressing", but then again I could just be focusing on the negative here.  I think we need a third party to say for sure.

Look at Australia

They live and they have deadly animals all over the place

I mean, as long as nobody tries to commit genocide like Cyrus or Lysandre we're good
