Oh my gosh! Another person getting Omega Ruby! This is how it went for me:

 

"I got Ruby back in the day, so maybe I'll get Sapphire this time around..."

 

Shortly thereafter Tekulo learned that everyone and their mother in his social group was getting Alpha Sapphire.

 

Call me a derogatory name that pertains to this specific incident, but I just can't bring myself to blorf into a giant solitary blorf blob like everyone else.

When Ruby and Sapphire first came out, I had originally bought Sapphire... So I figured I would keep with the tradition and buy alpha sapphire.. 

 

And why would people call you a derogatory name over that?

My sisters and I played both Ruby and Sapphire together, so my memories of them are a bit fragmented.  I had been planning to, in the event of a Hoenn remake, buy Sapphire, but then I realized that I really wanted to train a Shiftry for some reason and Primal Groudon looked a little cooler than Primal Kyogre.  And that was even before learning that Primal Groudon's ability has one of the coolest names ever in Japanese. (Land of Endings.  It's ominous and stuff.)

I'm getting Omega Ruby, because too much water. (Actually because fire/earth/stone/etc. bias.)

I'm getting Omega Ruby, just because I got the original Ruby Version. Should be awesome!

And why would people call you a derogatory name over that?

 

I dunno, I guess because I changed my mind purely out of peer pressure? It's something like that and I can't think of the right word. Also, with my luck everyone outside of my social group will generally go for Ruby thus slapping my decision making process in the face. =P
