Only found out yesterday that in Neverwinter Nights, mages can learn a spell to transform into several kinds of creatures, including a giant spider. Well guess what's my new favourite spell now. :3 (though, since you can't use any other spells while in spider form, it's more a "last resort"-kind of spell, or for when close combat is inevitable. Realizing that the horrors you just experienced were actually a literal nightmare. I recently decided to give Morrowind another go - and it's been a fun journey so far. The side quests have been fairly ridiculous up until this point, I'm slowly getting the hang of the skill system (although I do keep dying at every other corner - overestimating myself much? Probably.), but well, I've only reached level 4 by now - after all, it's not like I had that much time at my disposal. Currently playing as a Wood Elf Rogue, works okay for me. ^^ I just wonder how long this game is goin
So yesterday in the aerosol lab (yes I take a lab course every semester. they're fun!) I happened to sit right there in/under a draft - as a result of that, my upper shoulder area and back of the neck are all tense and painful. Thus, most head movements result in silly head twitching. (one of the reasons why I strongly dislike air conditioning) I just hope it's not that obvious, otherise I must've made a reeeaally bad impression when travelling to and from university, me with my skeleton hand

I guess the drawing says everything that there is to say. I am once again covered in work all the way up to my nose, it's annoying, but I guess it could have been avoided with better time management... still, blargh. At least I've sorta recovered art-wise, again. That's good. Though, paradoxically I think that the above sketch actually does look nice ("sketch" because freehand/I couldn't be bothered to do the whole guideline-approach. ^^) Ah well, tomorrow's still another day...
I always forget that, despite my love for fantasy and wizardry and stuff, I'm really not that skillful when it comes to drawing hoods and robes. And somehow recently the hands always decide to turn out to be either too large or too small. ("That's foreshortening, it's supposed to be like that!" - a younger self, possibly) But! So, I finally got my bachelor's degree in physics! And it feels... underwhelming, really. I mean, on the one hand I am intensely proud, and glad that it's over, but on the other hand, it's nowhere nearly as spectacular as I thought it would feel - possibly because I just immediately continue with the master studies, but still... aka simulations are fun! And surprisingly, Blender runs fairly well on my old netbook. Which is great, because that means I can actually do stuff when at university, too. Rendering takes forever, though. 140 frames in ~10 minutes is not a particularly awesome rate (4 seconds per frame), but then again, I've got some stuff to do, anyway. So it's a fun pastime. ^^

After all, I am not only taking this particular exam for the second time (after having failed it spectacularly last time, then attending the lecture for a second time) - PLUS this is technically the last exam I have to take before finally finishing. Today is one of those days when I really want to dress in as much black stuff, skulls and spikes as I can find and paint my face all intricate and dark. I refuse to call it resolutions, because these always sound like hollow promises to me. So this year I shall attempt the novel approach of formulating things in a 'quest log' of sorts: Keep up the more-or-less daily drawing regime. Finish the sketchbook that was started on the 4th of january. Worry less, crochet more. Participate more on BZPower, including blog entries. Less complaining about being weak and more sports instead. But you know how Christmas is: lots of preparation, time with family... and of course, receiving a new RPG as gift does not really help, either. Thus I spent a lot of time of the previous days on Risen 2 - Dark Waters, and I am totally enamoured. The setting is novel to me, pirates and all, but it's been a great run so far. :>
