morrowind...

I recently decided to give Morrowind another go - and it's been a fun journey so far. The side quests have been fairly ridiculous up until this point, I'm slowly getting the hang of the skill system (although I do keep dying at every other corner - overestimating myself much? Probably.), but well, I've only reached level 4 by now - after all, it's not like I had that much time at my disposal.

Currently playing as a Wood Elf Rogue, works okay for me. ^^ I just wonder how long this game is going to be. It does seem like quite a longer one, at least as compared to Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II, which I've finished twice already (together with my sister, though.) or some other games...

I never did get around to buying Morrowind. Oblivion's fun, though, and I'd highly recommend it when you finish this one.

And, of course, Fallout: New Vegas. 1.0

i tried out Morrowind, and it was weird to play. Oblivion was my first Elder Scrolls game and there are just a lot of basic stuff changed from one game to the other that made it hard for me to get into it. As many problems Skyrim has, the one things I miss from it when going back to Morrowind or Oblivion is the smiting. I love that stuff.

Love New Vegas. For me, it's the real Fallout 3 as it actually has ties to the original two games.

Wood elves are good elves. :P

Until they tried to smother your religion with their holier than thou attitude!

(Guess which side I picked in the Skyrim Civil War this time 'round...)

Morrowind <3
I love Morrowind but without mods it looks very old. I could make a little list of mods for you if you like, they are very easy to install ^^
I made some small mods myself.

I like how Morrowind seems to be halfway between a PC game and a tabletop RPG.

The story is really the best part of the game, but before getting there you have to become stronger and this takes a lot of time (unless you cheat...).

I tried it once, but was so confused by the controls that I almost didn't get off the horse in time. D: might give it another go at a later time, though.

But Fallout:New Vegas - isn't 18 recommended age for that? I'm afraid that would not work for me, as I am a rather (read: very) sensitive person, especially with any visual inputs/graphic stuff. :<

Another anecdote from my Oblivion test run was that I spent a solid five minutes marvelling at the surroundings in awe, because, you know, mist and stuff. :>

oh? For me, all elves are good elves. Unless they're scary, I guess. ^^

I really need to catch up on the lore, I guess. But there are so many books to read in that game, anyway...

Thanks for the offer, and I really appreciate it - but I'm playing on the original Xbox, and I don't think it's possible to install mods there? (at least AFAIK)

Ah yes, I noticed that. As for the story, I wonder whether I'll ever get to that - after all, I am a master of getting side-tracked. ^^

Oh, I'm afraid there are no mods for Xbox sadly.
It's a shame because the difference between mods/no mods is the same between day and night :(
EDIT: Actually there are some mods for Xbox but getting them to work seems to be a little bit difficult from what I read.

Morrowind doesn't really care if you get side-tracked, actually you could just live your life and ignore the main quest and noone would complain xD
