I have a feeling that the heavy rain that was going on this morning was an omen -- I decided to be awesome to my buddies and bring a cake to school. Unfortunately, I found a disturbing trend: for every person that I offered cake to and accepted, there were roughly two that declined.
What is this world coming to?
(And to top it all off, my crush didn't show up -- which might be a good thing, since I was wearing his heart tag on Wear Your Crush day last week and I got grilled an awful lot ab
Considering the fact that the Seneca's main job as storytellers are to get people to accept the realities we create, I figured this fit us better. Besides, we've got a lot more than a dragon protecting the Keep now.
Advertising for Repicheep, in this case. If you haven't already, read his epic Chronicles of Huna Nui: Scourge of the Visorak, and be sure to stop by the review topic to share your thoughts.
*ducks behind shield to avoid hailstorm of bricks*
Normally I wouldn't care about this, since none of the teams I support actively made it. However, since I'm a Washingtonian that can't get over that Superbowl where the Seahawks were robbed, I was actively cheering for the Packers to beat the Steelers.
And my wish was granted. =D
(PS: I love a lot of those commercials. The Darth Vader Volkswagon, the Coka-Cola siege (that dragon was awesome), and the Doritos pug made my day. =D)
*has been spending past months thinking Pokemon Black and White were coming out late March*
*brother informs me it's early March*
*laughs in face*
*checks online*
*finds out it's March 6th*
*;_;*
Darnit, now I have to save up for that faster and admit I was wrong to Zen. He will never let me forget this.
*opens iTunes and types in Cryoshell*
*realizes their full album is now available*
*checks balance*
*doesn't have enough to pay for the songs*
*;_;*
Grah, now I need to decide if I want iTunes money or Pokemon Black sooner.
So I'm actually doing what I've been toying with doing, and that's taking commissions for various Metals projects. The money will go to fund various things in real life (yes, Akaku, that includes Reach), so here's how it goes.
Embargos
There are a few things I will flat-out refuse to do. Avoid at all costs: any rubbery pieces (i.e. Inika masks, Skakdi heads, etc) Launchers/Launcher ammo Ehlek claw (tried already. Epic fail) Now that the list of doomed items is done … on with the rest!

My school had it's annual blood drive today. As it was the first year that I was allowed to donate, I managed to squeak into the donation line, and despite it taking more than an hour from beginning to end, it was actually pretty fun, especially since the donors get free food afterward. =D
At this point, I think my Ebay gambit is a lost cause. Not a single bid, so I'm a bit disappointed. However, I've got another chance at BrickCon, so I might find a buyer there.
Anyway. Moving on from that little disaster, I'm thinking about starting to take commissons once the next semester starts at the end of January. I'd probably only take two at a time, since they take a while to make, but it'd be less hit-and-miss than Ebay would be. I could do Bohrak shield/Nuparu claw rings, and I'm th
If I appear but don't respond/accept to party invites, that's usually a clear sign that I won't be sticking around for very long.
Take last night, when my dad and I tried and failed to deactivate the setting that requires his password for me to approve friend requests. (Naturally, I realized how to do so only after we gave up and went to sleep. >.<)
Well, sorta -- I'm halfway through semester finals, but I somehow managed to crank out another Wings chapter while I was at it, so I guess I made it, didn't I?
(And for those of you yelling "INFERNA GET ON XBOX LIVE RAWR", I might be able to sneak onto the Xbox Wednesday afternoon; if not then, probably Thursday, since it's a half-day and you can't really learn anything on half-days. )
Some might recall a blog entry where I showed off a white-bronze ring with Kohrak-Kal's shield stuck on top. (I'm considering selling that ring; stay tuned for details.) Anyway, I have a new ring, this time with the claw piece from the Nuparu Inika set as the decoration. (Which is not for sale, sorry.)
(Sorry about the hand-model; I needed my brother to wear it so I could get a decent shot.)
My great gamble on Ebay and my Kohrak-Kal ring is not going well. Two out of the ten days have gone by, and not a single bid. Granted, $35 bucks is a lot to start with, but ....
*trails off, unsure*
You wanna know how I got up this morning? Zen barged into my room at 6:10 in the morning and tackled me. Since I've been sleeping in 'til 7:30 lately (at the very earliest), I was about to swat him and yell at him for waking me up --
Then I remembered what day it was. =D
Not bad haul this year, and the gifts I bought for my family went down well. I bought Donkey Kong Country Returns for Zen and my dad (the series has a fond place in my family's heart), and the necklace/bracelet set I bough
One Kohrak-Kal shield ring, solid white bronze, size 9, looking for a new home since its maker needs some extra cash.
I'll see if I can link to it once me and my mom get things rolling. B)
Anyway, for you guys yelling at me to get Live, it turns out I don't need an ethernet cable to hook myself up. I might handle it tomorrow ... or not.
An overhaul of KOTOR and KOTOR II -- improved graphics/cutscenes/cinmatic videos, deleted stuff added to the overall games (like the HK-50 factory from KOTOR II, which wasn't in the final game), maybe even online content -- then put together onto one disk and shipped as a 360 game.
I would buy it, no questions asked.
So I went to Best Buy to return Dragon Age: Origins. (It's not what I'm interested in at the moment), and then I went to look for Halo: Reach so I could buy it. I found it, but I also found a bunch of games I also wanted, among them Transformers: War For Cybertron, Halo 3: ODST, and LEGO Harry Potter.
I compare that to being forced to pick either a million dollars or a contract with a really good publishing house.
Feel free to yell at me (as Akaku already has), but I picked War For Cybertr
Ordinarily, I wouldn't be blogging about a football game, but since it makes Seattle one step closer to the edge the Superbowl, I figured I might as well mention it.
... GO SEAHAWKS!
Stealing the line of some insurance company aside (can't remember the name ), Valentine's Day stuff is already on sale in a bunch of stores in my area. And to top it off, I already have the set plan for my Valentine's Day special.
>.< Sometimes I am too imaginative.
My final resolution for 2010? Finish Chapter 8 of Wings by tonight or tomorrow.
(You know, to set a good example for HN, who has fallen back into his old ways. Come on, man, finish the next chapter of TDoH!)
Now I'm rooting for Trapped In A Map for the RPG Final Poll, as opposed to Gangs of Metru Nui.
Here's my expected profile for it as proof:
(yes, it's who you think it is )
Our next chapter of Twelve Days of Holidays is in jepardy, people!! HN needs motivation!!
So yeah -- bribes, threats, virtual kicks in the butt -- try anything, guys.
*goes to get iron maiden and various other torture devices*
Warning: There are spoilers for the new movie in this post. If you have not read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows and/or watched the new movie, and do not wished to be spoiled, I suggest you go read something other than this blog entry.
So I went to the Harry Potter Exhibit on Tuesday, and last night my family and I went and saw Deathly Hallows Part 1. While I'm a little annoyed (peeved, you might say ) that we have to wait until July for Part 2, I liked the adaptation, and considering th
