Xinlo already posted an entry about this, but hey, I figured that as an admin it's my duty to shamelessly plug it too. ..to tTH4! tTH4 is the newest incarnation of the long-running and successful Bionicle forum the Toa's Hideout, which was originally founded by a group of BZPower members back in the year 2007. since then it has gone through several revamped incarnations, and we've had a lot of familiar faces among us over the years, including BZP staff and members of The Three Virtues pod
picked this up for a mere $4 in excellent condition. best price I've gotten on a double album since I found The Smashing Pumpkins' Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness for $5 a few years back.
even having been a fan of the books and movies since before the TV series was even a thing that existed, I think I'm growing to like Mads Mikkelsen's portrayal of Dr. Hannibal Lector even more than Anthony Hopkins'
you can trust me I'm a professional critic 10. That's the Spirit by Bring Me the Horizon best hardcore album since Meteora by Linkin Park 9. Drones by Muse #OccupySesameStreet 8. A Head Full of Dreams by Coldplay once again proving why they're bigger than The Beatles. without a doubt the definitive British feels-rock band 7. Wilder Mind by Mumford & Sons a nurse once told me I look like Marcus Mumford. no joke. I'm not even a dude 6. Got Your Six by
apparently he's the Lego art director whose name was the inspiration for the Order of Mata Nui member Tobduk? I always knew of him before as the vocalist of the legendary Boston metalcore band Aftershock, which he formed alongside his brother, Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz. I guess this explains the "Lego, Let's Go!" official promotional music video featuring a pretty neat original hardcore punk song credited as being written by Toby. really cool.
the frontman of the Christian metal band As I Lay Dying and the sideprojects Austrian Death Machine and Pyrithion was arrested earlier today after allegedly attempting to hire an undercover cop posing as a hitman to kill his estranged wife. yep.
..is a great song by Machinae Supremacy, the world's premier video game-themed SID metal band, which is who this entry is about. roughly 3 years since I got into MaSu, I finally ordered physical copies of all the albums they've released since signing to a label, after previously only owning them digitally. still hope to find copies of their first two independent albums someday, but that's looking unlikely since those are ultra-rare and highly sought-after. from top to bottom: - Redeemer
almost 16 years since I joined this site as a kid. it was a major part of my life for so long. to say that my time and the people I met here was instrumental to my development would be an understatement.
so many friendships came and went, even a relationship started and ended here, and the drama - so much drama. all the arguments, bullying right-wing bigots, carving out an identity and (infamous) reputation through so many different phases and identity crises. Laughin'Man, Scythey, Ryuujin,
normally I don't go for these "Original Album Series" box sets because they don't include booklets and the discs are packaged in cheap cardboard sleeves, but I found this on eBay and had to get it. all three of the Sisters' studio albums - First and Last and Always, Floodland, and Vision Thing - plus the collection of early EPs and singles Some Girls Wander by Mistake and the greatest hits compilation A Slight Case of Overbombing packaged together - basically the Sisters of Mercy's entire disc
..aaaaand that might just have been one of the best episodes of the entire series, old and new. we're off to an inconsistent start, to say the least. now that the two-night premiere event is over, we're back to a weekly schedule for the next four weeks. shame it'll all be over so soon.
since I mentioned the Pumpkins in my last post, I figured why not. top to bottom: - Gish - Lull EP - Siamese Dream - Pisces Iscariot - Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness - 1979 single (the B-sides on this are fantastic) - Zero EP - Adore - MACHINA/The Machines of God - {Rotten Apples} Greatest Hits (my first Pumpkins album) - Zeitgeist (Best Buy exclusive deluxe edition) - Oceania owned but not pictured: - MACHINA II/The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music (digital-only release) -
is DeeVee because what he's had to say on a certain subject recently has been totally commendable and agreeable and respectable and just major props all around to the guy.
