I have a Monolith as well, but it's a real piece of junk right now. I need a new green sprue for it before I can patch it up.

Heavy Destroyers aren't as Dakka. I'd reccommend maxing normal Destroyers, then buying another Monolith.

Fielding two 'liths in an Apocalypse game gives a strategic asset that softens enemy fire, I think. Called Nightshroud or summat like that.

My Tau army isn't read yet. I only have the commander, two Fire Warrior squads , Devilfish and Stealthsuits painted. There's no way I'm trying anything until I have at least my battlesuits and Hammerhead painted.
