Y'know what's great about having a kitchen in your dorm? You get to cook stuff!

I baked some cookies today--jelly centered thumbprint and chocolate chip ones, to be exact--and they were a huge success! Definitely something I'm going to do in the future, because who doesn't like cookies?!?! (Not my roommates and friends, I'll tell you that much! They thought they were great!)

(Plus, I can give them to girl(s)... B) )

 

As for other cooking, I'm on dinner duty tonight for 3 of us. (Emote remote doesn't use the kitchen for meals.) I've been marinating some chicken breasts this afternoon and I plan on sticking them in the oven to make it easy on me. Also, I've got some sort of fettuccine alfredo* pasta (like, it's not fettuccine, but it is a cheese sauce) so that should be delicious. I forgot a salad though. Oh well.

Hmm.

Well, they came out as large cookies, so I didn't have the desired 3.5 and 5 dozen amounts. Next time I'll make tons that are smaller so I can share more.

I'm not the biggest fan and am not setting out to become a chef, but since I kind of have to do it I might as well make what I cook delicious.

Plus, we have a kitchen. Half the dorm and the other sophomores and freshmen in other dorms don't. It's almost a sin not to use it!
